This video shows just a way to wrap in leather the back plastic part of a non-airbag, two-spoke steering-wheel (first course video). For this demonstration I have used 'automotive leather 1.4 mm thick. I would recommend a thinner leather (0.8 to 1:0 mm) We should take advantage of 'stretchy side' of leather.
One 'trick' consists in cutting the rounded central part in an oval shape. We first have to make a 'stretchy mold' in vinyl, then it shoud be transfered to leather material.
I also show the 'wet glue trick' that helps to easily move the leather material over until reaching the desired point. The glue is impregnated and absorbed into the leather fibers and would dry anyway (application only for leather).
