In this video I'm in Comor Sports in Whistler and talking about some of the weirdest powder snowboard shapes and why they're amazing for powder snowboarding. I've got TJ and Andreas here to help me talk about these powder snowboards and tell their stories from powder snowboarding days on these boards. If you have any questions about these weird powder snowboarding shapes please leave them in the comments. Thanks for watching! - Спорт
Tj should do a weird ride list this season. 1 day a week, ride a weird board. Kev, andreas and chris should all get in on it!
Great idea! Weird boards Wednesdays!
So pretty much what angry snowboarder does
Thank you guys for an excellent channel.
It makes me feel like I’m in the snow wile I’m waiting for the winter ❄️ I like all your products detail. 👍
Love it! - The Yes 20/20 is on my to do list!
Great review, as always guys!! Congrats!!
I was testing the nitro quiver cannon last weekend and i would describe it as a raceboard rather then powboard. Because it takes so much energy to turn in powder and the rather hard flex and long edges are actually nice for carving, if you have the space and speed...
Great video boys! Gets me so hyped for the pow season! Getting the DC HR house of powder board for this year
nice I love the wierd shaped boards!! gotta add the signal wampeater too this list.
I own the 2020 YES 20-20, and have just got home from a week in Tignes, French Alps. They had a lot of early season snow, and even powder (3ft snow drifts even). Extra lifts and pistes were opened early.
I alternated between the 20-20 and my '19 Flagship. I completely agree with Andreas, in that the float feels quite "level", and takes a little while to fully trust it. But it works! I'm just work on my switch and spins now, and it felt totally comfortable both on piste and in powder. Plus, the extra width helped with my big feet not dragging.
Also, I've found the pop to be pretty good on this too, especially when "dolphining" as I call it, in powder. (back to back gentle ollies, looks like a dolphin infront of a ship). Really nice spring with very little effort.
Its a board I can tell thatI'm going to progress well on, even if it is technically way above my skill level needs right now. Cant wait to hear what you guys think of it!
I've got some footage I'll try and put into a video on here soon.
The battalion looks rad!!!
I got to see the nitro cannon in person when I was board shopping in Edmonton
i own the 173 cannon and absolutely love it. the most fun board i’ve ridden
Awesome!
All very interesting boards. Actually picked up the Yes 420 this year and haven't got to ride it yet. But it's coming with me to Niseko in January 😃
I'm bringing my 420 also and United shapes cadet. Lol
The boys will be in Niseko then too!
I heR good things about YES from AngrySnowboarder reviews
I looked at them but had to go with a more budget friendly nidecker. Mb next season I will grab one bcuz it was my first pick
@@hamishtims3650 and we are stoked about it.
@@T25de They are a good brand. I have owned a few of their decks now and been pretty happy with them. Which one were you looking at?
rad review again! I want to demo the yes boards!
What width size board would you recommend for a size 11 boot. I have been wanting a 157cm arbor westmark midwide, width at 26cm Do you think this is good for a 11 boot?
Awesome video!
Love seeing Andreas, peeped him on Chris’s channel
Brian Lewis
It’s a winter party and everyone is invited
I'm wondering if the short surfers make the landing of the jumps tricky. Does the short size affect the balance on the front to back axis in this situation ? Thank you :)
So the yes board is just like Kastle skis, interesting was waiting for those to finally make an appearance
Have you ridden the K2 Broadcast 2020? Is so, would you recommend it?
Dope video Kevin. How about top freeride boards? 🤙🏼
Love your vids
Come to nothern Norway for some backcountry boarding
Have you tried bindless Powsurfers like the Grassroots boards or the Burton Resonator? It would be cool to get your opinion on these.
love this edit. i really want to try the spring break!!
Same! That board look like a Night Hawk!
that’s amazing
Big pink!
Hi, I would start the snowboard, and I would have some advices...
I started skiing 2 years ago, (I’m thirteen but before I couldn’t practice because I was in Reunion Island) so I’m not so bad but I’m not a pro (logic). In my local resort there is not much powder, is it disturbing for snowboard ? And how long do I need to get down a blue runway without too much trouble ? So in your opinion, is this the right time to start snowboarding ?
If you want clarification ask me.
(sorry if there are mistakes but I am French)
Please answer this is important for me ! Thanks...
Matthias LEPETZ you don’t need deep snow to start snowboarding. The sooner you start, the better. If you feel like you wanna give it a try - go for it. Depending on how fast you progress, it should take you between a month and two to hit the blue lines comfortably and stress-free.
@@adam69_ okay ! Thank you very much ! Do you think it's better to have a "teacher" even the hour costs 40€ ?
Matthias LEPETZ in my opinion - yes, at least in the beginning. If you learn on your own you can develop bad habits that will be very hard to get rid off in the future. I know it’s expensive, but if you can afford it, take a few lessons with a professional.
@@adam69_ ok ! Thank you, that helps me so much !
Hey you guys should come East to New England to see Winterstick and the resorts that are out here I northern NE
One day one video, day day up!!
if you talk about how short the yes 420 is we would appreciate if you actually mention the length in cm (same for the width)

You guys should have done the spring break cateraman that one has to be the craziest board with a swallow tail in the front and back
Tj has a vid about it, crazy shape
Please review some WIRED boards this season
I am just wondering if anybody can give me advice, I am 18 years old turning 19 pretty soon, and I have been to whistler two times and have really loved it and I am thinking of moving out there, is that crazy to do before going to University? I have a few more questions also, is finding jobs out there hard? Is finding a place that is cheap that I can live in solo or maybe with one other roommate hard? if you have any other tips or anything else to tell me please do, also I am not from Canada I am from Hawaii.
NameIsBird 100% do it. Not moving to a mountain town in my early 20's is my biggest regret in life.
My question is how do you wax the one with the pocket?
That's a good question! With a curved iron?
@@SnowboardProCamp haha I guess... 😂
Come to Scotland
Only if we can snowboard with you Fergus!
I wanna try the 420 but got a slush slasher instead
Zeb Powell on the Nitro Canon is a contradiction that only he can pull off.
side note-
that shop always has a grip of boards in stock. going back years of SBPC, the SHOP always has a deep inventory AND variety. who buys all those decks?!?

Like wise, idk if its our phone or youtube bro.
Cool video just wish you guys didnt reuse the same footage over and over again. Pretty lame kevin you can do better. Been a subscriber since the beginning.
First!

I call them hipster boards. I see guys riding them on groomers on no pow day. I know they ain't riding switch.
marty maness I have the Magic Carpet and take it to the groomers quite often - it’s a much better jibbing board than my daily driver - Bataleon Boss. That’s the beauty of twin pow boards - they’re super versatile.
You got me :-( I also have a twin but prefer the fishy tails for overall ride experience... even on no pow days.
@@adam69_ over time you will revert back to the symmetrical twin tip as your go to.
@@olivergloor567 haha gotcha hipster. Dont forget your guages.
marty maness both are symmetrical twins.
