@@OfficialEPA exhaust manifold studs broken it sounds like. The lifters are problematic for some people, but by far the majority of ticks are from those cheap ass studs breaking. After it heats up it goes away. The lifters are a whole different issue, don’t even get me started on those cheap Chinese rollers and the shit mds system

My nephew just bought a 203k mile 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. Fires right up, idles like it does, drives fantastic . You treat your vehicle good it’ll treat you good. It’s a fantastic engine the 5.7 hemi. You add a small bit of power into it and it’ll but a fun engine. Stock it’s awesome. Got a fantastic sound if you exhaust it.

I use to transport these patrol cars brand new, and they would tick, especially in the cold.
The tick is the lifter every Hemi owner says it’s fine. But go to an accident at 100mph then seize one. Engine won’t be the same!
