Thanks for your lovely comments Derek which are very much appreciated, it was one of those days that turned out much better than expected, cheers nige 👍
Nice video nige great camera work as usual as always I am really enjoying your lovely videos and camera work keep your lovely camera work up bye for now Philip
Thanks for sharing Nige. An enjoyable watch as always with great camera work and excellent locations. Tangmere is starting to challenge City of Wells for the "volcano" title. Take care - Chris
Thanks Chris, we wanted to try some different locations and the looping at Grayrigg was to our benefit with some wonderful exhaust not unlike past City of Wells volcanic eruptions, cheers nige 👍
Excellent edited compilation of the tour and the re-engineered 57 on the rear is probably putting in quite a bit of effort but being much less obtrusive than some of those older 47's would be.
Great shots all round Nige, but the ais gill pan just gliding up the bank very nice, gales today in places not the best light ither this morning being very bright further south . 👍
Great stuff Nige looks like Tangmere is after an award which loco can make the most clag.Super quality as per usual thanks to you and Steve who I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of weeks ago. Brian
All smoke and bustle, good old "Tangmere" never fails to disappoint. Always better with the cylinder cock closed though driver (unless it gets stuck of course!). Good on 'yer Nige, another cracking vid. 👏
Thanks Paul, was good to see you too, no haven’t heard why she was looped so either boiler pressure was down or the threat that the Pendolino would catch up further along but that would have been the same with the next one also so a bit of a mystery, cheers nige 👍
Great video as usual. The wind direction did not help photography or videoing yesterday. The stop at the Grayrigg loop made it difficult to work out when it was going to arrive. Eventually we could see and hear it moving out of the loop. Its going to be a busy week this week but weather forecast is not looking that good.
Thanks Alistair, certainly made for a more atmospheric shot leaving the loop and the wind was a problem in some ways and in others helped for a better shot, no it not looking good at all this week but things can change, cheers 👍
Lovely footage. You can almost smell it. Not the handsomest loco there ever was though; Imho covering a loco in that boxy cladding is a bit like putting a Balaclava on the Mona Lisa.
Thanks Phil, well I can tell you it was a lovely smell followed by the diesel exhaust which wasn’t so lovely, don’t know if the Spamcan design improved the performance or not but I see your point with the balaclava, cheers 👍
Top quality multi shot footage as ever and a soundtrack to match.
Thanks for your lovely comments Derek which are very much appreciated, it was one of those days that turned out much better than expected, cheers nige 👍
Excellent video, plenty of steam and exhaust.
Thanks Richard, that’s one bonus with this engine you tend to get good eruptions from the chimney, cheers 👍
Fine set of shots from the day Nige, really enjoyed the sequences at Ais Gill
Thanks Austin, although it was very windy at Aisgill the shots worked much better than expected, cheers 👍
Nice one nige brilliant video's Nice to have the crack with you and Steve cheers 🍻 😂
Thanks Graham much appreciated, yes it was good to have a crack, cheers 👍
Great video - steam a plenty
Thanks Jed, not far from being a volcano at one point 😂 cheers 👍
Hi nige, Lovely video ......Dave 🙂👍👍👍👍🚂🚃
Thanks Dave glad you enjoyed watching, cheers nige 👍

Good video Nige, well done :)
Thanks Simon much appreciated, cheers 👍

Thanks for your kind comment Stephen, the 57 was certainly giving a good shove on the return as she was moving up the climb with ease, cheers 👍
I’ve caught the other tour on the same day headed by the Severn Valley 50 pairing
Glad you were able to catch the 50s Scott, cheers 👍
@@nige7577yes I certainly did
Great shots all round Nige, but the ais gill pan just gliding up the bank very nice, gales today in places not the best light ither this morning being very bright further south . 👍
Thanks Steve, getting plenty of assistance on the return although windy no rain which was forecast so can’t grumble, cheers 👍

Thanks Brian, yes certainly trying to match City of Wells for eruptions I would say, hope the wrist is improving, cheers nige 👍
Making good speed up the gradients with lovely exhaust. Great shots.
Thanks Ceanothus Blue, yes plenty of lovely exhaust and certainly moving on although receiving a helping hand from the rear, cheers 👍

Thanks Rare Rufus for your lovely comments, at least the drain cock issue was sorted for the return, cheers 👍
Nige good to see you and Steve yesterday, great footage of the spamcan, any ideas as to why it went into the loops
Thanks Paul, was good to see you too, no haven’t heard why she was looped so either boiler pressure was down or the threat that the Pendolino would catch up further along but that would have been the same with the next one also so a bit of a mystery, cheers nige 👍
A smokey start for Tangmere and nice angles at Grayrigg. Like the last shot at Ais Gill.👍
Thanks David, yes very different from what we were expecting in the morning which was a nice bonus, that’s very good spot at Aisgill, cheers 👍

5:45 like fellow spam cam city of wells before her this is tangmere on a charge on the settle and Carlisle line
Thanks Scott, yes another famous Spamcan that used to frequent the S&C, cheers 👍
Very good Nige , even though she went into the loop the shots worked well especially with the strong winds. Aisgill worked well also I thought 👍
Thanks Steve, something different in the morning and better results than expected considering the strong wind from the northeast, cheers 👍
The speed that Tangmere is climbing Ais Gill, it must have been rammed up there by the class 57?
Thanks for watching Graham, yes she was definitely being given a helping hand, cheers 👍
Looks like tangmere is trying to smoke out the track
Thanks Scott, yes you could be right on that point, cheers 👍
