LYRICS:
Can you remember the way it used to be?
Rest stops and break down lanes and rain,
Were all we would need
To call it a day
We didn't much to say
To explain it away
They're opening doors for me all over town
But it's just too bad that I won't be around
Now plain Jane send me flowers or a post card
I won't turn you down again
You say it ain't warm enough
But man I'm just burning up
I'm going down with the dust
Is it too much to ask, of you?
And am I moving too fast?
Did I come back too soon?
Is it too much to ask, of you?
Now sometimes just being alive is enough
The money don't matter to me
Just send me your love
I'm leaving as the crow flies
I'm coming
We don't even need to talk
About anything
We can just let it ring
There's so much I could bring
Is it too much to ask, of you?
Am I moving too fast?
Did I come back too soon?
Is it too much to ask, of you?

Kenny has such a warm voice. So glad he is still out there recording and performing!
A beautiful tribute. RIP Neal ❤
Thank you
I didn't know Neal personally but I am tearing up. This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man. ✌❤
Just beautiful. Song, recording, video.
Thank you, Brian

Painfully beautifu Tribute Kenny & Amy l , you capture the essence of this wonderful sad song and make us miss Neal even more ..thank you 💜💜💜
Thank you Monique
So beautiful. Also, really cool to see musicians playing Neal's instruments, melding his essence with their talents. I'd recognize that white Tele with the orange guard anywhere!
Thank you, David.
Indeed, it's the B-bender Tele that Neal said he loved. I saw him play it with CRB.
✌💀👍🎸🎵🎶🧠🌌♾⚡❤
Soooo good to see/listen to this! I've played this Song with Neal in Munich in 2019 4 weeks before we lost him. Good to see his Buddys and his equipment. Let me know when you tour Germany, maybe we can let Neals soul together. Love and Peace from Germany ☮🦉❤
Thank you. Hope to come play in Germany in 2022/2023.
I have watched that vid of you and Neal together post-show several times... Seemed you made his day...and he yours. Damn. Still so sad... We have the music.
☮️💜🎶
This is absolutely wonderful. As a tenor and Bari sax player myself, I really appreciate the wonderful sound of the horns and how they are mic’d up. This song has the sound of an old soul record. So laid-back and groovy. You all did an amazing job!
Thank you.
Beautiful!
Thank you Ray
For those in the know….I have an oar, for those tears……Finished using it, myself….Happy to share…Pass it around…..I’m also going to flip through my collection of photographs, Neil left for me:
Tomorrow’s Sky.
Photographs, by Neil Casal.
I swear, he smiled at me, at 5:13am, in New Orleans, at Tipps…I smiled back…I’m in the crowd! What was I gonna do??!!
I’m always going to give, to the Neil Casal Music Foundation.
There’s a reward. No need to claim it though……
You have photos to share?

I do not. His book, Tomorrow’s Sky, does. Full of beautiful, haunting, quiet, loud, Cali and back, and back to Cali imagery.
And, Neil was able to catch the good stuff? And, put it in a jar,…the good stuff…and give a taste to his friends, if they asked….
I think so at least…
Never met him…But, I’m a friend…
@@eddiemoore1533 I knew him when I was a kid. He was my neighbor's very good friend in Jersey. When I was about seventh grade I met him and I could say he was a super gentleman. He just joined Blackfoot. He drove me to my dance and I remember before I got there he drove me around and told me about the Rolling Stones.
2012 and was playing with Chris Robinson I saw him in Delaware. A friend of a friend got me backstage and I didn't expect him to remember me I'm a 46-year-old man now.
But like a gentleman he did He was so kind to me. Just all around great dude

Just wow. I saw the Crowes, at Jazzfest (wanna say 2012), then: the Brotherhood, at 3am, at Tipitinas..They were on time, tight, and just amazing. Then saw them at Headliner’s Louisville….It saddens me to the core..But the music?..It’s why I even know about Curation Records..The amazing Interlude for the Dead..It’s a rabbit hole, I didn’t know I had to go down…Thanks a ton for sharing. Means a lot. He’s smiling sometimes/some where’s, about now…..
@@eddiemoore1533 did you see his last interview on UA-cam? It's so sad but there's so much to learn there. Neil is a metal head in his heart.
Wow 😢
I didn't know Neal personally, but have a few friends who did. What a moving, beautiful version.
I wish they would play the summer hoot and play this tune. Call Mike and Ruthy!!!
❤
