I bought a hyryder hybrid and have similar feedback, I took it on first mountain trip and I thought I will need to switch on Power / City drive modes but Eco was fine. If you are a gentle driver who follows road speed limits, toyota hybrid cars won't disappoint you on Eco mode. One more thing which I liked EV mode kicks in even at 80 KMPH contrary to some YTubers who said EV mode works only till 40 KMPH. My current mileage is coming at 24 and it is only increasing after every small trip. Love this car so far. Waiting period is very high 18 months for the variant I have now and Hycross waiting period is insane. Toyota, need to bring down delivery times and you will get more market share.

Toyota is just fake hype having lot of corrosion. Lagging and suspension issue in hybrid plus tires balding under 25k miles

But in reliability, specially hybrid cars, Toyota beats Hyundai anyday, although they don't offer as much value as Hyundai. But now they've Corolla hybrid in their portfolio that's superior to their compact odd-looking Prius and is probably the best midrange hybrid car in the country.

Fantastic review! You even covered the important, but often neglected, aspect of the throw of standard head lights at night! It's heartening to also note that the vehicle does not lack power with a full load, which is a serious drawback of low torque petrol engines.

Very nice Car. I am highly impressed.I think Toyota should also launch hybrid Sedan and hybrid mid size SUV because it will revolutionize Car market to next level because if such a big Car is giving such a good mileage along with best safety then Sedans and mid size SUV's will provide much more milage along with Toyota reliability and safety, therefore, what more is required.

They already have them all in the US. Starting with Prius < Corolla hybrid < Camry hybrid.

None can beat 1st Gen innova in terms of reliability and endurance.
Seen 8 lakh+ kms on odo with no work on engine except clutch, timing belt and pully replacement and it was still running smooth and giving pushbacks on acceleration.
My 2012 innova has crossed 10.5 lacs kms ..still sealed engine. But sad to see toyota in collaboration with maruti suzuki making cheap quality vehicles😢

Driving comfort… Try ScorpioN petrol. Nothing came close, drove all very recently. Even fortuner couldn’t match the comfort.
