Another great review man! This is one of the characters from I liked a lot when I was a kid. I was always impressed how well the mines staid in the backpack. I never lost any of them!
I like *this* Tripwire *and* the 1983 one (wearing green).
typical character that the team could do without.
I had him, but never really used him much,
once you have the pack, stalker can plant the mines.
trip had no weapons, he s like a friend who s just along for the free ride,
he drinks your beer, says things that send girls away,
and messes your car when you drive him home...
if hasbro starts from scratch, trip must stay home this time.
with the tiger colors, he just stands like a target.

I'm a big fan of TF as well. I have all of them save for tripwire. I don't have any version of him. I did read his file card as a boy. I had forgotten how he truly aquired his nickname. I was under the impression it was due to him being too clumsy to set a tripwire.
This was the first version of Tripwire I had and yes he copilots the tiger fly for good reason. I think he also pilots the Tiger Fish as shown on the box art. 1988 Tiger Force wasn't so bad you should check out the 2002 Tiger Force set from Toys R Us with battle cat Jinx ;)
it was a nice set. unfortunately i had to sell it. sold it for $70 a few years ago. never opened.
I'm sure I was the only dork that liked Tripwire. Never had the figure even though I think he was the easiest to find. He needed to be on "The Island of Misfit Toys" since apparently no one wanted him.
+standepain He is not too hard to find, but he is often broken. That light green plastic was a bit soft-- not as bad as 1982 Zap, but still fragile.
I am proud to say.."i do not own any tiger force items" when i do get them i trade them away pretty quick. i know some guys really dig it, and it is cool on some of the vehicles. but i hate it. great review and spot on as always.

It amazes me how Hasbro was able to sell the same figure to people 3 times and it was Tripwire, no updates to the figure, just repainted.
Call me childish but I always loved Tiger Force, my all time favorite sub team.
+Nicopelli I have no idea if you're childish. I'm the guy who plays with toys all the time! There's nothing wrong with liking Tiger Force.

Yes! Tiger Force month! My older brother always chose which Joe we were to buy, so Tiger Force was my chance to get the Joes I wanted but couldn't get (until my brother moved on to girls). My brother made me get Dr. Mindbender... I wanted Bazooka!!!... & now I had him... Different colors but he looked better, unlike Lifeline (he looked like an ugly South American repainted knockoff). I am looking forward to this month 👍🏽
+Hector Canales For a lot of the kids who watched the cartoon and saw these characters, but missed the toys on the shelves, Tiger Force was the only way to get them! I hope you enjoy the next review. My first plan should work out this time!
Don't forget the order forms. I was saving up money to buy the hooded Cobra Commander and Duke. They had a real great picture of the figures on the beach (I still have yet to find it). Once I bought Tiger Force Duke, I decided to use the $12.95 + shipping on Xamot and Tomax instead.
Can't wait for ALL the reviews this month, brother.

For me as kid it was OK , I never looks for some nuances ... So that means that you will make next moth for Python Patrol or for Iron Grenadiers ?

I was so on the fence about adding tiger force figures to my collection since like you I hated the the color scheme. I still haven't been able to bring myself to buy any of the vehicles yet but I can honestly say the figures when grouped together don't look to bad. Anyway great review looking forward to the other tf reviews this month let's see if you can convince me to buy one of the vehicles lol.

Tormenting you
There isn't a single figure in either Tiger Force or the Python Patrol that I liked, even as a kid I hated the gimmick completely.
What is wrong with that bright orange color, it's exactly the same color as your T-shirt!
this one is hard to understand. why? should be called bad trip. barf
This figure is horrible the colors don't blend together at all and they look like they got slapped on this figure and Tripwire is begging it to come off! The original tripwire was fine not bad just a good green figure these colors don't belong on tripwire at all and I don't think tripwire needs new versions accept for some modern updates this figure is living proof of that the tiger force colors don't look good at all on him this figure is nothing more than a cheap cash grab!
