Best song ever
I heard this song when I was in a car as a young kid. I felt it then but couldn’t figure out what it was called. All I knew is it was Moby. Now I’m 33 and figured it out. Something about this song is so nostalgic and makes me a little happy and a little sad. Life flys by and it’s weird how music still feels the same so many years later.
I first heard it around 2010 on Pandora. I haven't heard it in ages and now it made me severely nostalgic 😭
I’m 57 youngster 1964 May 26 and single in 2021 wow who would have thought me single at 57
Not every music feels the same, but this does
my dad use to play this while we drove to my grandmas house

This song was playing at the happiest day of my life. Not a Wedding, not a birthday, just sheer happiness...it was the year 2000 and nothing has been the same since...
everything changed after 2000 my brother. Long live the good times. I was only 8 and can see the drastic decline in society and the world day by day. People really did lose their minds in the last few years. Still a beautiful life.
@RememberReaz I was born in 1999, so I'm not really a 90's kid, but I could feel the beautiful residue from that era while vicariously feeling the encroaching darkness. My mother used to play songs like this all the time.
Those days never repeat again. 😢
I just hope that so many than possible have good day today or tomorrow. Time adds silver to everyone's memories and being children could be so sweet time and if not, it usually shows from people the way or another.
Speaking in honest and sweet could be hard, not impossible.
If you don't handle it, start to practising now..
If not for other people, do it just for yourself.
Because good things come back to you, sometimes when you think it least.
Everyone knows that without positive thinking there's no very much speaking at all.
(Maybe there is if you speak just about science and facts, but who does that _only_?
Even Einstein was positive guy and told how we could and will destroy world and more than one way, if I remember correctly..)
Acid
I think the 90s was probably the most unique time period in modern human history...this song is a testament to that.
Wish we could bring it BACK!
Released in 2000 so technically a Noughties in some ways

You dont have to, if you listen closely you can see how beautiful it is
I have listened to this for years now and I cannot form the words to describe the beauty in it
You dont have to. The music is more beautiful even if you dont euologise that anyway.

I bought the Play album when it was first released in 1999. I must have listened to it hundreds of times, there were so many great songs on it. Porcelain reminds me of those years, when things were better in some ways, worse in others, but still optimistic as we entered a new century. Years I'll never get back, mistakes I'll never fix, triumphs I'll always savor, everything I've overcome. I didn't plan on living this long; I thought I'd be dead by my own hand 10 years ago. But I'm still here, and I don't know why...
I believe it was the movie "The Beach" is what introduced this track , and Moby, to me.

I went to the Area One tour at the Shoreline Amphitheater for my first date with my boyfriend. He held me because it was cold, and I fell in love with him then. UA-cam’s comments are the best when it comes to such emotional pieces such as this song. The comments alone are even beautiful and full of truths and honest energy.
Also, every comment is a thoughtful paragraph of varying lengths. Usually, UA-cam comments are short quips, but nearly every comment for this songis slow, deliberate and heartfelt. ❤
I first heard this song in the early 2000s while driving through the Rocky Mountains at sunrise on a cross country road trip. It was one of those moments that is burned into your memory:) 🌄
This song helped me so much when I was a depressed teenager. Made me feel like someone understood me. 🙏🏼
Thank you it's nice to see music can touch us all equally no matter how distant way May be
There are a few songs that really feel like they physically punch me in the gut with nostalgia when I hear them. This is definitely one of them. 1999 9th grade.. man, what a time. Sometimes it stinks and gets kind of frightening growing older (for different reasons) but I wouldn't give up growing up in the 90's.
Thanks
Samsies!!!! I WANT THIS SONG TO BE AT MY WEDDING AND FUNERAL!!! I FUCKIN MISS THE 90'S. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE IT WAS ALL A DREAM AND WE WOKE UP TO ALL THIS BULLSHIT. SORRY IM WRITING IN CAPS. I JUST LIKE ALL CAPS LOL I HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL HUMAN!! PEACE BE WITH YOU!! MUCH LOVE!!!
The 80s and 90s both kicked ass. This song came out when I was around 24. Older than you, but it still brings me back to memories of that time.
I had just went to the Navy at that time and was 18... Always moving, always traveling, and always surfing new areas back then. It really does hit you when have to abruptly break ties with all of the locals you've made friends with as well as the girlfriends you've dated... All to start over as just another outsider in a new place! It wears you down each move you make and it never gets easier when you're uprooted against your will; however, we always persist and find the best in new areas. Still, it takes a piece of you every time and when you get to a new area, you begin to feel the patterns repeating with new friends as your relatively recent past memories come back with new faces...
It's a hard thing being single and traveling without something physical such as another person to bring with you to remember what is as you always remember the best of what was... Then again, you wouldn't want a girlfriend or wife to feel the pain through the joy.
@@hawaiidispenser you are probably my age or around then.. Class of 94.
