hi I'm doing a research and I would like to know which gauge is this machine exactly? 5 mm, 5.08 mm or 6 mm (distance between two needles)? thank you for sharing :)
5.5 very unusual, it is an early version of the double knit machine. It has issues, basically the DK yarns made today are a little bit difficult to knit. The manufacturer fluffed up the yarn to make it look thicker. The original yarn was thinner and more smooth. It seems to knit best on dial 10 or 11. You just have to find the correct double knit.
@@aldosmachineknitting great informations, thank you! with my bulky machine, a 9mm gauge, I use often thin yarns in 5 or more strands together. if you have an electric cone winder it's easier ; )
