You mention programming the garage home link away from home, my understanding if you have a rolling code system ,the learn button on the unit hanging in the garage must be pushed also to complete programming. Is that correct?
Thanks Steve, after I did your steps for my wife’s highlander it still didn’t work, but as soon as I hit the learn button on the lift motor it paired right up.
This system is crap. I don't have a remote. It broke, but our old car synched easily with the learn button. My Highlander won't synch. Do I have to have an opener?

How do you Unprogram home Link in your Toyota?
You have to either replace the signal with a new one or do a system reset through the radio
