I took the streetcar to Uptown, particularly Audubon. Walked around what I envisioned a gorgeous New Orleans neighborhood to be, and it didn't disappoint!
Going on the steamboat was worth it. Get some history, get some drinks, not to mention the 3 course meal is pretty good. And some live music to top it off.👍
I took for granted the warning the bartender gave me about the hand grenades. I was able to drink 4 of them and two hurricanes and I don’t remember the walk back to the embassy suites

j blaze I like El Gato Negro for amazing Mexican food there’s, Jimmy Jay’s for great seafood breakfast, there’s ruby red which has amazing breakfast I’ll have to try to look up the other ones for gumbo and Poboys because I don’t remember them off hand. If you have to go to places that there’s more than one of our franchise the cheesecake bistro is really good but the one in New Orleans is better than the one in Baton Rouge.

Roast beef on french dressed with swiss and gravy taste nothing like Arby's...Arby's is garbage, if you dnt mind heat and you like ketchup add both to together to your po'boy no one ever talks about Patton's hot sausage, go get you a hot sausage and cheese on french dressed ooohhh man talk abt some good local food, or the boiled turkey necks with red potatoes.. yakmein is another one of our local soups thats really good, omg im missing home now, all thats missing for me is some egg rolls from Chinese Kitchen

I love New Orleans. One of my favorite places to go so far but I’m still traveling so it probably won’t be my only favorite place to go.
Go to Cafe Beignet instead of Cafe du Monde...no long lines and AC in the summer. Also, only a few blocks away...the locals go there.
