Minivans in general are the best vehicles on the road. The interiors are bigger better made they are quick, and have actually really well engineered suspension. Top it off the space is big enough you can sleep in them in a pinch. I think they look great sadly almost no one else does lol
I may consider one some day for the comfort and space. Unfortunately for Stellantis, I will be looking at an Odyssey or Sienna. Under Tavares is out and they get someone who knows how to run a car company, the only Chrysler products I will are the two old Dodges in my garage.
I am in the full opinion that most things a Crossover SUV can do for you, a Minivan can do better. They're just so much more practical and yet the average consumer just doesn't see it.
Recently had one of these as a rental for two weeks. Came away immensely impressed. We own a 2021 Odyssey and the Pacifica is honestly better in many important ways. And with the problems we’ve had with the Honda I’m sure I would not be taking a step back with the Chrysler. We’re seriously considering trading ours in.
the 3.6 pentastar is actually very reliable vehicle. people act like siena and odyssey dont ever have issues. The odyssey had door problems for many years
@@91Taurus never happened to my jeep with 450k miles on it. Over 10 million of these engines were made over a long period of time. Look what happened to Toyota's new V6 blowing up. Many factors like maintenance, climate and environment play a role and sometimes it's luck.

We had a '23 PHEV Pinnacle. Great interior. Terrible transmission--three times it went into limp mode but two dealers couldnt find the fault. There are known transmission recalls--the main computer gets discordant readings between wheelspeed and transmission and, in an effort to avoid damage from what it thinks is a mismatch, sends an error message and drops the max speed of the car until you reboot it. But rebooting clears the error! This is not much fun when your wife is on the highway with your kids. Wish we'd just gotten the gas motor.
Sounds like the TCM has hiccups, at my dealership we haven’t really seen too many problems with them. A couple trannies were replaced but other than that these vans are really solid
sounds typical chrysler, I worked for them in early 2000s (when the original Crapica as we called it came out. Thing would just eat motor mounts). transmissions have sucked since the ultradrive 4 auto came out. among the hoard of other issues... and none of the owners Daimler, Cerberus, and Fiat could save them. (I left when we were informed Fiat was buying us). sad sad sad
I wish Chrysler would put the mini back into minivan by offering a smaller 2 row 5 seat minivan like the original Chrysler minivans. If all Chrysler is offering is a van, then more versions might be a good thing. They could do a camping focused van. They could do a rugged "off road" minivan. They could do an ultra luxury large van.
Unfortunately Tavares doesn't know how to run a car company and is killing Chrysler. It started with Daimler, then Fiat, and now the worst of them all, Stellantis.

This car currently has no competition in it’s category. It’s the only plug in hybrid minivan and right now there are not BEV minivans until the ID Buzz comes out. With the increased emphasis on plug in and hybrids, I’d think this would be worth investing in. There are now several 3 row vehicles to choose from if you want an EV, but most of them are not very good if you plan on using the 3rd row frequently or with adults. It’s hard to beat the practicality of the minivan. Seems like with as long as it’s been on the market, they could take advantage of improvements in battery technology and give this more horsepower and range. Maybe even give this the kind of system they are putting in the Ram where the engine charges the battery instead of powering the car so that it acts like a range extender rather than a traditional hybrid.
Our 2021 will go up to highway speeds without the engine coming when traction battery is used up. My 2018 Cadillac CT6 2.0E plug-in will only go 27 mph in this scenario. It is such a nice feature. At 60-65 mph with no AC we are see Ling 40-45 mpg! Nothing can match that like you said! It could have AWD abd more power but doesn't need any of that!

Why is Chrysler still around? Do they even make more than this one car? Anyway, I'm not a minivan fan, but if I had to take a road trip I would certainly choose one as a passenger. At 6'4 the ability to stretch my long legs and shift is a godsend. A whole lot less stopping to relieve the cramps. I also love the black package shown here. With the exception of the wheels, its a really stealthy look.
While I would buy a Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Sienna, we rented a Pacifica for a long road trip back in Oct. 2021. It wasnt a bad vehicle, at least on that trip.
I'm a Toyota person but don't own one now. Buying new I would still go Sienna for resale and the dash looks better ..but these a couple years old seem like a hard deal to beat as the price is 10-20K lower. Can't even get a Sienna on a lot if you wanted one. The dash in the KIA and Sienna look way better. Outside KIA,Pacifica then Sienna for looks. I have Jeep and the quality is much better than I expected .. it's a very solid vehicle so hopefully Pacifica similar with same engine.
My Pacifica Limited hybrid was a nightmare. Stranded 3 times. Dealer had multiple times for weeks... "no problem found". Stellantis refused to lemon law it. "Chrysler Cares" representatives were useless. I had to get the National Center for Dispute Settlement involved. I've had Chrysler minivans since 1986. Stellantis has lost me as a customer forever.
They have gone downhill. My friends 2017 Dodge Ram turns on the windshield wipers for no reason....when going to use the turn signals. Doesn't matter if you indicate right or left turn signal. The windshield wipers come on too. Sometimes the wipers won't turn off either. It is very annoying.
Would not recommend this vehicle. I have one and the transmission failed at 4000miles and had to get a new transmission. Chrysler recently sent out a statement saying the drivetrain would have unlimited warranty but I plan to get rid of the vehicle in couple years and get a regular hybrid minivan. This vehicle is just not reliable. You do not want to experience your transmission failing on the highway.

great MPG, wow. PHEVs are the way to go until battery tech allows to negate range anxiety. Our 2020 S6 T8 is getting 40mpg (20 electric only)but you have to wonder how long Chrysler as a brand will last.. Dodge Pacifica maybe? Sad bye bye chrysler.

It's equipped with lots of features, but i didn't like it for two reasons! Reliability and safety! I had 2024 model, and it stranded me multiple times, and i crashed it after the service. Turned out it was traction disabled due to bug!
Our 2021 PacHy has been great and now has extended warranties for free. What happened in the old days before traction control? Why were pushing the vehicle outside of the traction limits?
Why would I buy a car that only makes one brand? It sounds like you are buying a car that the dealers won't be around to fix in 5 years. Plus, Chrysler was never known to be reliable. Huge pass.
Even if the brand vanishes completely doesn't mean it won't still be repairable. Considering how long they've been made, there should be part and people around to fix them well into the life of the vehicles.
These vehicles are absolute trash and are a nightmare to detail. So much that I'd decline my services to Pacifca owners because cleaning them takes an entire 8 hour day and those people arent willing to pay $750-$1000 for the detail of said trash when I can just detail 3 vehicles in that time for $250-$300 each.
It is a big vehicle, one of the biggest actually. It is always a chore detailing the outside. For the inside with two big dogs, I cover the carpet with clear adhesive film cover and it helps with with the hair.
@normt430 not only is it big but it has a "basement" and said "basement" is always filled with garbage, spilled drinks, rotten food, melted candy, and school supplies in the seat tracks. It'll always be a "Decline" from me as it's not worth my time. Plus, they use the cheapest velcro style carpet and if it's covered in pet hair, which it usually is it's a wrap for me. No thanks.
The styling is dated, debuted in 2017. That’s almost a decade old. They should redesign it and rebrand it as a Dodge Grand Caravan, and kill off the Chrysler nameplate

My brother refuses to get rid of his 2010 Honda Odyssey because he can fit full sheets of drywall in it. It does other things but that's his favorite.

I rented a Pacifica two years ago for a two week road trip. I loved driving it. Quiet, easy to drive, lots of room. I enjoyed this minivan.

Our PacHy goes almost 40 miles without gas. We usually see 40 mpg at highway speeds.

I've always thought the sheet metal on the Pacifica looked cheap. Also, at the starting price, I find it odd that a power lift gate is an option.
Consumer Reports found the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid the least reliable auto on the road with a score of 17 out of 100.
CR doesn't have enough paying subscribers and ones that own the PHEV version to get a good sample.

Maintain the styling can be a good thing. That helps it retain its value. The more they change the fast it will decrease in value.
