I've seen several videos of stylists doing it this way and I've always wondered why (I'm not a stylist, just watching these videos to improve my technique for cutting hair for my family). It seems like doing this, the work in getting the hair to stack is wasted, because you're lifting the original bottom line. Can someone explain?
