If I had to choose, I'd put my money on the latter. This is what too much money does to you, particularly if you were born into it and it's all you've ever known.
On the Yachty line: I was a youth pastor for a while, I’m also a musician and rapper. Had some of my kids in the van and Peek-a-boo came on. I pointed out that line (because I’m also a cellist so they KNOW what that is and what it looks like) and I thought their brains were going to implode lol It’s so bad, that even middle schoolers criticized him heavily for it. lol
Really solid list here, RC. I eagerly await your best list and hope that my suggestion makes it. (Buy Now by Spose was the song I chose) BTW, really enjoyed your "fake deep" tangent, as some rappers are willing to be silly in some songs & serious in others..... and there's nothing wrong with that. Or even being both at the same time. I mean, Thrift Shop was a silly song, but it also showed how brand names rip people off. Even if you don't agree with the message being portrayed, at least hear the person out as they usually have some good points. Anyways, you have a Merry Christmas.
Cody Smith Fake deep is nothing about that. It's when guys like Hopsin pretend to be deep by just saying shit exists without introspection, yet still putting themselves on a pedestal.
Wait till you get to that part of the video, as I wasn't talking about people being fake deep, I was talking about people who claim rappers are fake deep when they're not actually fake deep.
I think that the 'Who can relate, WOO!' line could've worked if it was filled with sarcasm and venom, as if he thought that no one could actually relate to the situation
Everytime i hear that line from lil yatchy i think of that one scene from spongebob where squidward said "and the drums" and the drum players tried to blow on the drum stick.
Yeah... I'm a HUGE Tech N9ne fan, he's my favourite artist ... But when I saw his album cover come up on the screen in this video... I immediately knew why. That lyric from Wheels Like Hill was absolutely embarrassing. He is an amazing lyricist... But like all rappers, he makes mistakes sometimes ... That was one of them. He's still my favourite though
Angel Molina Yeah. It's when he makes a song that he doesn't put any effort into, where you find the worst lyrics. And it isn't often. He usually puts alot of passion into all his music
Listenersnotes Ok, you guys are seriously worked up over one bad line. One bad line does not automatically make the entire song worthless. Btw this is coming from someone who doesn’t like the song, though I mainly don’t like it because of the hook.
4:55 maybe the irony is that he's gay. The sex with the girl is expected, but he doesn't actually want to do it. Or perhaps it's really deep dramatic irony. He thinks he's sexing a woman, but we, listening to the omniscient 3rd person narrator know that it's a robot. (No, i don't actually believe he meant any of that. I doubt he knows what "irony" actually means. Hell, I've written papers on "irony", and I'm not 100% sure what it means. Isn't that ironic? ... No, seriously. Is it? I don't know no more.) (Edited for typos because I'm my own grammar nazi.)
dude, you're sooo dope! I just found your channel today, you're so incredibly spot on with everything. instant subscription edit: and your voice is really nice, kinda reminds me of sway with that bassy cadence
I think that was just him being funny. He’s a relatively smart guy and has a good sense of humor... could be wrong though, you never know with rappers these days. 🤷♂️
When Ferg said that line I thought of you because you get on rappers for saying they'll fuck your girl all the time. I interpreted him as saying because he's a rapper he'll do it ironically to play into the cliche. If that makes sense.
I can almost see where you’re getting from. But I think that would only work if he was a rapper known for avoiding cliches (i.e. he’s never brought up sex with your girl in a song). I don’t normally listen to A$AP Ferg so idk if he is, but if he’s not and he always uses popular rap cliches, there’s nothing ironic about taking your girl because it’s not subverting anyone’s expectations.
ThePhreakass Did you even listen to the review? He doesn't call it a 5/5 classic or anything. He said likes half the album, but also enjoys the overall message of each song.
How do you come up with a lyric so bad that the immediate line before it "my new bitch yellow" doesn't even get brought up in a critical analysis of your lyrics? "My new bitch yellow"... really?
@@mr.x2567 Don't know the full context. Just wanted to say that "Yellow" is also a slang term in the Black American community for lightskinned Black people, usually woman.
RC's number one pick clearly should make his,"If u don't know something, JUST GOOGLE IT!!!!!" line as RapCritic's new catchphrase. Seriously, next year, does a rapper want a girl to blow him like a synthesizer?? I am sure that's how Valerie Bertnelli turned on Eddie Van Halen lol.
Given that there is a woodwind that fits the rhyme scheme, oboe, it does raise questions of its own if he were to use that instead. If she's blowing you, one would assume her mouth would be open. Most woodwinds have small reed aperture, especially the oboe. So...does that mean he's packing a toothpick downstairs? Sorry, I always found any reference to instrumental fellatio hilarious because of that. Also, on the "wee-wee" comment, the only other song I can think of that you didn't show was So Dope by Tech N9ne where Twisted Insane says it twice. Innuendos abound and he uses that word TWICE.
I think Jaden Smith meant to say THOMAS Jefferson. Which makes the rest of the lyrics make more sense. He just fucked up. Also the Snoop Dogg lyric might be in reference to doing Molly, a drug made famous in the Bay Area and can have your eyes peeled back when you accidentally overdose and is known to make you do dances in the Bay Area similar to wiggling. I know Snoop is from LA but the voice he’s using is *kinda* similar to a Bay Area rapper and Snoop rapping about Molly in this sort of way could be a clowning moment and a message on today’s rappers doing a lot of drugs. This is the only explanation I can think of for this and it’s already kind of a reach.
Yeah, disregarding Lil Yachty and the whole Squidward "flute" thing, he later did a rap track for the Teen Titans Go movie. And yes, that is a thing...

Goddamnit Kodak
What a complex line
Man, I really don't know if Jaeden Smith is just trolling everyone or is actually that out of touch with reality due to his upbringing. A true question for the philosophers.
How Can Mirrors Be Real If Our Eyes Aren't?
What if it's both. This is how he sees the world, but this is how he reacts to people trying to tell him he's wrong.
If I had to choose, I'd put my money on the latter. This is what too much money does to you, particularly if you were born into it and it's all you've ever known.
Out of touch with reality, which is what tends to happen when you're born rich
We now know the answer all these years later....it wasn't trolling
On the Yachty line: I was a youth pastor for a while, I’m also a musician and rapper. Had some of my kids in the van and Peek-a-boo came on. I pointed out that line (because I’m also a cellist so they KNOW what that is and what it looks like) and I thought their brains were going to implode lol It’s so bad, that even middle schoolers criticized him heavily for it. lol
Really solid list here, RC. I eagerly await your best list and hope that my suggestion makes it. (Buy Now by Spose was the song I chose)
BTW, really enjoyed your "fake deep" tangent, as some rappers are willing to be silly in some songs & serious in others..... and there's nothing wrong with that. Or even being both at the same time. I mean, Thrift Shop was a silly song, but it also showed how brand names rip people off. Even if you don't agree with the message being portrayed, at least hear the person out as they usually have some good points.
Anyways, you have a Merry Christmas.
Cody Smith How’d you comment 4 days ago?
I'm a patron, buddy. That is how.
Nathan Shlapobersky didn't he mention that XD
I went to see Fall Out Boy in concert 2 months ago and Jaden Smith was the opening act.
He was fucking horrible, holy shit.
Well, this was the year they released Young And Menace, so I’m not that surprised.
Oh my god, really? I mean, I love Fall Out Boy, but shoot...
but what if someone releases a really bad song this weekend? ;O
IABI TV guess he done fucked up then lol
IABI TV Then he'll have to travel back In time and somehow add the song to his list. Obviously.
I think that the 'Who can relate, WOO!' line could've worked if it was filled with sarcasm and venom, as if he thought that no one could actually relate to the situation
at least in kendrick's case it was wordplay... though it was still pretty dumb
SadistModeOn I just don't like saying wee wee even as a six year old kid I didn't say it
Hey man. If people still give Eminem shit on his attempted wordplay, so can Kendrick
Oui oui😂
"I'm such a nice guy" is the line that got me laughing so hard I woke up my neighbor.
That tec n9ne lyric was ghost written by Eminem circa Encore
bad Makes sense seeing how dumpster fire-riffic Eminem's latest album is.
XD
bad so true lol "wee wee" "big weenie" and "fack"
ENJ4321 revival isn't bad just over hyped.
+Jordan Robinson Revival is bad.
Everytime i hear that line from lil yatchy i think of that one scene from spongebob where squidward said "and the drums" and the drum players tried to blow on the drum stick.
Yeah, I'm a huge logic fan, but that hypocrisy is BAD
Yeah I CAN RELATE! WOOO!!!!!!
Ahcacapoopoo is actually a sub-genre of a cappella. They be on that deep underground septicfied type shit.
"Your booty is heavy duty like diarrhea."
-Eminem
Darius R If the album dropped sooner.
So...he doesn't like her behind?
Or you got buns I got aspergers
I love this rhyme. GOAT aways makes me laugh
ben larson ur the type of person to say lil pump is better than eminem
"When we come-a-wigglin' at ya!" Had to stop the video for a minute on that one. I was rolling!
4:28 is that ur voice 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm dead
tf is your profile pic
rly nis lips
Timothy Mockett no doubt, when he’s at his best, he amazes!
Angel Molina Yeah. It's when he makes a song that he doesn't put any effort into, where you find the worst lyrics. And it isn't often. He usually puts alot of passion into all his music
*grabs popcorn*
"All your verses sound like dirty dishes" - Jaden Smith 2017
These are the highlights of my year ALWAYS.
TheLord O Chicken praised be the poultry!
I was surprised u didn’t mention Happy Ending. I was expecting it to be a long segment at Number one like you did flatline
I was really looking forward to you roasting Hopsin's Happy Endings
OnceWasAChance damn how did that not make the video, I don't even hate hopsin but happy endings was pretty hard to defend
OnceWasAChance I mean he did defend fly as a deep song... so
MrGladBEASTftw I mean hopsin is trash... but that song is especially just bad and cringey
Listenersnotes Ok, you guys are seriously worked up over one bad line. One bad line does not automatically make the entire song worthless. Btw this is coming from someone who doesn’t like the song, though I mainly don’t like it because of the hook.
Angel Molina wait are we talking about happy ending or fly? Fly has one iconic bad line that became a meme. Happy ending has no good lines 😂
Is it? I don't know no more.)
(Edited for typos because I'm my own grammar nazi.)

Phyllis: “Why would you want to raise your cholesterol?”
Dwight: “So I could lower it."
Even as a big logic fan, I think it's ridiculous to not at least acknowledge that that lyric was terrible. The execution with that was really sloppy.
Logic best was on UnderPressure and YoungSinatra.
dude, you're sooo dope! I just found your channel today, you're so incredibly spot on with everything. instant subscription
edit: and your voice is really nice, kinda reminds me of sway with that bassy cadence
*extremely GZA voice* "First of all, who's your A&R?
A mountain climber who doesn't know the differecne between a cello and a woodwind isntrument?"
Yonatan Amiran But he don’t know the meaning of dope when he’s looking for a suit and tie rap that’s cleaner than a bar of soap
Betta66 And I'm the dirtiest thing in sight
@@493HZ So bring out the girls and lets have a mud fight!
"Eyes peeled when I wiggle" Snoop is saying he is still looking out for trouble even when he's in the club dancing. This lyric holds up for me.
To be fair, it is kinda funny to imagine a guy wiggling around while peering from side to side like Pee-Wee lol
I WANT A FULL VERSION OF "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME (I'M SUCH A NICE GUY)" OR I WILL BE a little sad
Us not getting it- “HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME”
"For my birthday I threw me a surprise party" - 2 Chainz
I think that was just him being funny. He’s a relatively smart guy and has a good sense of humor... could be wrong though, you never know with rappers these days. 🤷♂️
@@TyTy-pe2if It's the same guy who calls a big booty ho "Big Booty" because she's got a big booty.
@@stevenstice6683 I think his entire persona is supposed to be like "dumb rapper, but like so dumb that he probably grew up in idiocracy"
I'm super impressed yachty admitted he was wrong lol
That flute, though...
I mean, he deflected blame. Rightfully so but still. His defence was basically "I'm an idiot, but no one told me I'm an idiot. So its not my fault."
6:35 Todd in the Shadows' take on this line is also amazing xD "when I say self, you say HARM"
When Ferg said that line I thought of you because you get on rappers for saying they'll fuck your girl all the time. I interpreted him as saying because he's a rapper he'll do it ironically to play into the cliche. If that makes sense.
Ving Rhames I always thought he was making a flip on ironing?
I can almost see where you’re getting from. But I think that would only work if he was a rapper known for avoiding cliches (i.e. he’s never brought up sex with your girl in a song). I don’t normally listen to A$AP Ferg so idk if he is, but if he’s not and he always uses popular rap cliches, there’s nothing ironic about taking your girl because it’s not subverting anyone’s expectations.
I thought it was irony because he is with your girl. Where you would be expected to be with your girl.
Yo I gotta say, at least yatchy admitted he was wrong and didn't try to make excuses that it meant something else haha
Lmao rap critic uploads at 130 am instant click
fisk you mean 1:30 AM
I actually kinda liked the Kendrick wee wee/France line.
Wish Rap critic would do more videos
"JUST GOOGLE IT" made me laugh so hard i woke up my wife. She wasnt as amused as I was...
"Girl you're smoking like Snoop Dogg" - Eminem
On the song "Remind Me", it is not that bad of a line though.
Hazel Ninja it’s a good song but it doesn’t have that great of lyrics
Rap Critic dickrides Revival though
ThePhreakass Did you even listen to the review? He doesn't call it a 5/5 classic or anything. He said likes half the album, but also enjoys the overall message of each song.
Come on, man! He brought up some of the corniest lines and said they were dope.
How do you come up with a lyric so bad that the immediate line before it "my new bitch yellow" doesn't even get brought up in a critical analysis of your lyrics?
"My new bitch yellow"... really?
I think he meant Asian
@@mr.x2567 Oof...
Yatchy is young enough to know spongebob but not smart enough to know squidward plays the clarinet. He even says so in multiple shows
Lil Yachty not knowing what a woodwind instrument was, is just as bad as Jay-Z saying the sun revolves around the earth LMAO
Here from the future, I am sure Hov is just Geocentric
S L O B O N M Y K N O B
Squidward plays a flute..... I'm dead.
Shut your mouth you mediocre flute player.
Looks like someone hasn't had their fruity pebbles this morning..... Lol
Clarinet
Cello
I prefer that we're half way there. OOOOH Squid ward on a chair!
Rap Critic: "JUST... GOOGLE IT!"
John Oliver: "GOOGLE IT! GOOGLE IT!"
1:51 I swear i've seen chavs do that, though usually much slower
Tbh, when someone have the basic look of being scary, wiggling would still look scary. Learned this from experience.
Death inexorably wiggles towards us all.
lmao @ Untitled
"how cud dis happen 2 meeeee ;(((((" 😂
_I'm such a nice guuuuuuuuuyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!_
kendrick's use of wee wee was kinda clever though, if you think of it as oui, oui (french for yes, yes)
Right kendrick made that shit work
It really wasnt it was just cringy
Yes....but RC's point still stands. Should we really be encouraging rappers to use language common among 3 year olds? Is the wordplay really worth it?
That's a flute 🤣🤣😂😂
Patrick star Coming from someone who thinks mayonnaise is an instrument
You forgot the part of her being “yellow.”
@17:44 Rc realizing he's part of the problem but that problem feeds his content.
Love you critic have a good 2018
worst lyric this year: GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG... etc
SunCat facts! I only fuck Joyner Lucas Gucci Gang
Jabrony Lin true that cover was fire
thats not a bad lyric tho , thats just a repetitive one
It's not a lyric
That's the whole song
Gyro Zepelli It's both.
Techs bad line had me rofl
triggered
Yeah, disregarding Lil Yachty and the whole Squidward "flute" thing, he later did a rap track for the Teen Titans Go movie.
And yes, that is a thing...
6:22 Thanks for addressing that. Glad I'm not the only one who trips out on "Who can relate? WOO!" 😅
I always come back for the "How could this happen to me, Im such a nice guy"
Y'all forgot Hopsin - Happy Ending
Nice flute
Chris Luciantonio dumbass, that's a cello
But how could you even decide one worst lyric out of that
Worst Commenter On UA-cam yeah but it’s kind of meant to be taken as a joke with corny lines used on purpose so...
But that was done on purpose by Hopsin.
Best Lyrics
-Running Fast Like The Hulk
-Strong, So I flex like Mario
-So High I jump like Einstein
-Smart with money I’m Norris

LonerNinja 1999 what😂
Don't forget this gem from Lil Wayne. "I beat up the pussy like Emmett Till."
ginnrollins211 I️ legit thought that wasn’t a real lyrics holy shit😂
I tried to rearrange everything so they fit better, but none of them fit with Trump.
