    One of my favorite episodes yet. Living right next door in northern Nevada I can appreciate your experience. Although we have just a few more acres of public land.

    Amazing area, reminds me a lot of where I live in Western Colorado. I would love to meet up with those guys during season. I have a dog who loves to go. Chukkar was Awesome. Thank You for showing us this hunt. It is beautiful beautiful country.

    Such beautiful country! Id move there in a heartbeat if my kids and grandkids would go with me!😉 Unfortunately that will never happen!😔
    Travis, it almost looks like you're lifting your head and not getting a good cheek weld on your stock on flushing birds. That seems to happen, especially on your second shot. When I slow down the video, I can see a gap between your cheek and the butt stock when you pull the trigger.
    I noticed this because I do the exact same thing! It happens to me mostly when shooting coveys of birds. Quail are the worst! When a covey of quail gets up, they will all go in different directions, and its difficult to pick out a single bird to shoot! Too many times, I just get totally flustered and lose my concentration!😜 That's when I start missing everything! It's so frustrating!!

    Man I’d love to experience bird hunting like this. Having grown up and never experiencing anything outside rural South Carolina, all I can listen to the old folks talk about is how much they miss hunting Bob White quail. I’ve seen two coveys in my entire lifetime of hunting. Watching these videos would almost convince me to spend a heap of money to go on one of these hunts, just once.

    Rerun or not, doesn’t matter to me as a first time viewer of the channel. Glad to hear some gun owners/hunters say something positive about BLM lands. You me samey same.

    I have to ask, Is this a rerun of last years Idaho?

    • @montemichaelson1471

      That's what I'm asking? Haven't I seen this hunt video before? The short answer is yes. Or at least parts of it are the same. Like they ran two or three videos together. Not okay! Disappointed that they would do that. Reruns are okay, but passing them off as originals is not. You could do better as a professional hunt program..

    Which number choke and cartridge do you use for chukar hunting???

    • @TheFlush
      @TheFlush  4 роки тому +2

      Travis used a 12-gauge, with #5 shot loads from Federal with the Carlson’s Choke Tube Late Season Prairie Storm choke tube.

    nice hunt ...
    What is the cartridge brand, gram and number?

    • @trentmckenzie343
      @trentmckenzie343 2 роки тому

      They typically don’t disclose the type of ammo they use. If I had to guess, probably a magnum Federal load (since they are sponsored by Federal) but I have no way to tell what shot size, load size, or anything like that because I don’t know the gauges of their guns or the typical loads specific to Federal.

      I take it back. Looks like they were shooting #5 shot.

    Come to England we don’t have dogs that roam hundreds of yds away we on,y let the dog work about. 45 yds max we don’t have to put location collets on our dogs and we give the birds a decent chance ie not less than 35 yds away the partridge you were shooting have been in Britain for thousands of years we call them English partridge are on the decline and not many shoots kill them now not from overshooting but from habitat being destroyed when I was a 17 years I could go out any day of the week now I haven’t seen one for over ten years look after them they are one of the best shooting birds in the world. ,regards des

    Firing at birds and not picking up your shells. Having little apparent respect for those game birds shot is very annoying. You are not sportsmen.

      They have a small team with them... did you ask if they picked up their hulls?
      Just sayin`, from all the episodes I've watched they pretty much respect their birds from what I've seen
