Antibodies: A protective protein produced by the immune system in response to the presence of a foreign substance
Antigen: Foreign substance which induces an immune response in the body
Immunoglobulin: A class of proteins present in the blood and cells of the immune system, which function as antibodies.
Genetic code: A sequence of nucleotides in DNA and RNA that determines the amino acid sequence of proteins
Toxoid: A chemically modified toxin from microorganism that causes disease, which is no longer toxic but still can induce immune response.
Pathogenicity: The potential ability to cause disease
Spike protein: A protein that sticks out from the envelope of some viruses
Receptor binding domain: A short fragment of a virus that binds to a specific receptor to enter into host cells (cell where the virus multiply)
Viral-like particles
Particles that closely resemble viruses, but not infectious
Plasmid DNA: A small, circular, double-stranded DNA molecule that is separated from a cell's chromosomal DNA
Herd immunity: A large number of the population of an area is resistant to a specific disease
Outbreak: Sudden occurrence of something
Autism: A person with difficulty in social interaction and communication and repetitive patterns of thought and behaviour.
