If it isn't downloading, you can press the lock button on the top next to the URL and edit the settings to allow insecure content and allow automatic downloads. It wasn't downloading at first for me so I did that and it worked.

Every time I try to download the exe it won’t download it. It will only download the zip file from the oracle website. I am running windows 10 on an hp computer. Help!
Thanks so much! One thing I ran into is I needed to move the new environmental variable for the path to be at the top (move up button). I suppose I had an old version of Java that want fully uninstalled and it was throwing a weird state where it didnt show the newly instally java when entering the command "java -version"

@@sainiranjan40 It asked me to create an account too. Right after I clicked to download. It wants email address, name, phone number, address etc....all required fields. Yuk. I gave it a fake name. Had to give real email so it could verify to allow the download. Data harvesters...!!!
@@zinniaflowers8868 I have encountered this issue in the past. I just deleted all my browser history, delete cookies and cache. Close the browser and relaunch. You should be good to go.

The page you are selecting the operating system, click on the 'lock looking like' option to the right side of manual reload of the web page, click on site setting, scroll down and allow 'automatic download' and 'insecure content', close the site settings tab and reload the download link page, try once again and it will work

when i test in command prompt it says "Error, could not open C:\User\(pc name)\Downloads\Java\lib\i386\jvm.cfg' "

I had a similar error and I deleted all the other java related destination folders in the Path and it worked :)
