Grew up in Vallejo and many things changed after Mare
Island Naval Base closed.
Its been bad for a long time, since the 80's. The base closed in 1996.

I had a ministry in vallejo called "Seeds of Harvest " back in the day. It was in the hood but never had one problem cause I SHOWED RESPECT AND MINDED MY OWN BIZZ!

It's been a long time since I've been to Buds. I liked the burgers and fries at Maggie's on the east side of 80.
I lived in Vallejo in 2018-19, so I wasn’t there for long. I never saw the streets this ripe for business but then I was situated off of American Canyon, close to the Napa County line
Closer to downtown.

I lived in Concord for 35 years and spent some time in Vallejo. Even as bad as it seems to some its paradise compared to other countries "ghettos". lol
You don't have to go to other countries. Check out America's Rust Belt

Vallejo was Napa rivals in sports. I love waterfront Vallejo. My daughter was born on Mare Island .1955.The only town I know that squeaky clean is Napa.
Napa is okay but the cops and natives are corrupted 💯 No African People Allowed NAPA😂

Vallejo used to be the low key place to live but now it's becoming as crime filled as Oakland and it's almost a must to pack heat when it gets dark

lived in the V from 1996 to 2013. went to school at Vallejo Junior and Senior High and back then, Vallejo was still pretty decent. I think the downfall of Vallejo started right after 2013-14 onwards. its a shithole there.

YT'ers like to show the worst areas for shock value eg SF Tenderloin. Vallejo despite its amazing location/weather, has long struggled for a variety of reasons, similar to Oakland. I feel sorry for the girl trying to hustle a living, scary job.

I lived in Vallejo my whole life until I moved to a different state in 2022 and it is absolutely horrible how many young women sell their bodies for money, and it seems to have increased since then. The city legislators need to improve the state and quality of the city (but knowing Vallejo, they won’t do a damn thing)
Part of the change is state law SB 357. Good or bad I think it's created an increase on the streets.
Has potential to be a big windsurfing town some day.

Some clearly are, but it surprises me how many aren't.
You are showing the bad side of Vallejo, go down to waterfront area, beautiful. Downtown, shopping centers, .. you just want people to think Vallejo is horrible, in fact it's a wonderful city, kind helpful people who will help you when your down. ... been in area for 70 years, it is a wonderful city

The City of Vallejo has cleaned up many of the homeless populations and is always repainting graffiti art in múltiple locations, while restriping pedestrian and traffic road markings.
Vallejo has many established neighborhoods with good people who happen to live near historic Sonoma Avenue.
Video shows older part of town and that is where concentrations of the homeless, older infrastructure, the mentally ill and opportunists can be seen.
Interestingly enough, Vallejo is surrounded by other good cities.

it's really weird how some cities allow meat on the street and others don't. I live in a tiny retirement community and girls would not even THINK of working here, cops wouldn't allow it for even half a second.
You can usually find them in front of the fire house in Vallejo. It’s that bad.

@@vonb2714 friend I live in North east UK, a once industrial town, our biggest employers is probably 'nissan cars, and to see girls parading along your street with barely any clothes on is , disturbing but very sad ,and I can hope the bible, god comes in to there lives,but you've probably heard the biblical story of a good tree never produces bad fruit .and visa versa, and it must be very hard for them, god bless to you and those girls 🙏
