Thanks to Ajahn Chaj and the monks like Ajahn summedho and other foreign monks Buddhism spread to the west. This is really a blessing to the world. People around the world have a chance to learn about Buddhism and the triple gems. A wonderful and most peaceful religion on earth. Sadhu sadhu sadhu. I will always be grateful to a few monks from Thailand who came to Texas, USA (where I live). When I was a child I found a book about the Dhamma and immediately fell in love with it, but if those monks hadn't come all that way to open a tiny little monastery in Arlington, TX, then it would have been years before I met anyone who knew anything about the Dhamma.
But instead when I was 14 I found them and they suggested I become a novice monk and stay there a while. I was overjoyed, I didn't think it was even possible to do anything like that in Texas!
So the Dhamma does indeed live on and the wheel turns all over the world thanks in large part to the monks making sure that everyone has access to these liberating teachings.
      Sadhu! Peace!

Ajahn Sumedho is an amazing dharma teacher. He knows how to get to the point and help us avoid the mistakes he made.
Ajahn Sumedho’s two books “Don’t take it Personally” and “The Sound of Silence” are must reads.

but in the last few years i have been on this new medication which for me has been working wonders for me, and the new medication has been bringing back the past and to stop me from living in the past and also dwelling, i use creativity to get it out of clogging my mind. needlework and writing poems, jingles and also pretending to run a TV station because writing shows on the iphone makes me feel better in every day life,
so sure my body is suffering, but not really, no it's enlightening, so rad

All conditions are impermanent. OBSERVE the changingness of conditioned phenomenon. Whether it be pleasant/unpleasant.
Suffering is something you must accept, it is everywhere, but you can choose to change your perspective and attitude towards suffering, so you don't cause more for yourself.
For example, someone hurt you (your ego), it's not their fault, observing your own personal program and internal states, we don't take it personally and choose to switch your perspective on it and not get angry/sad/etc... just a state of acceptance and awareness. (Not to say we tolerate abuse please speak up if you are getting abused, I'm talking more so if someone says something hurtful like a friend you thought you were close with.)
Accepting: The way it is, let things be as they are.
Meditation awareness: The conditioned ego during meditation wants you to make "progress" however that means and achieve some sort of thing. Even if you do it for 8 hours a day like this, it won't be worth anything with this attitude.
Rather, it's surrending to awareness, letting go, I haven't gained anything in terms of attainments, but it's contemplating relinquishing through awareness.
Return to the depthness reality. Don't be deluded by the conditions we are bound with.
    Our real home.
^Notes from this video and some of my interpretation. May we all realise this and awaken to our true Buddha nature.

the suffering is called positive suffering, and that is when you put your body through a
series of tests to try and improve you both physical and mental, you see, if you are out socialising with friends and you are having a few beers, and you think you are totally cool,
i know, cause i have been there and developed schitzophrenic voices out of it, my best friend is constantly ringing in my ear, both positive and negative, you know when i try and concentrate on getting well, he is there

I think this man is playing the role of 'fool on the hill'. He once was
    Howard Cossell's batman.
    Still hustling babies, Tommy?
Why does he have Kleenex on his stand?
That is why he left Seattle. He hated coffee &
only would drink microbrew that was dry hopped.
He ran a monestry in Las Vegas.
He told Tommy, "Now go home and get your shinebox!"
Nice to see a man who likes the lime light but
    doesn't smell the limes.
Hi Rikard Myren you left your pants at the ashram.

    I stopped at 26 minutes.
Slavery is a form of murder that very often is worse than death. Why was Buddhism extremely slow in understanding that the institution of slavery should be abolished? Tibet always maintained slavery and serfdom under it's Buddhist leaders. Bhutan finally outlawed slavery in 1985, and it was in 1905 that Thailand did the same.
    Why, 'awakened mind'?

Jesus was a Buddhist scholar and he was definitely not a Christian. Christianity only came about after Jesus died and became institutionalised. There was no Christianity when Jesus preached. Buddhism is 5 to 6 centuries older than Christianity and Jesus adopted some of their ideas as well as Zoroastrian ideas when he travelled around during his missing years. That is why none of the bibles ideas are original, they are knock offs from other older religions that existed at the time..

berean soldier there were many wise men from the east travelling on the silk road. There were a lot of trading and sharing of ideas on this route. Even three wise men from the east visited your baby Jesus in a manger. There are Buddhist traditions even nowadays especially in places like Tibet where Buddhist monks travel on horsebacks to seek young babies or children because of a vision or dream to search for their next king! Hence Jesus had his lost 30 odd years in the bible taken away to be taught spirituality in the east. There is a recent American baby boy who was enthroned and revered as the reincarnation of a past monk. Although the boy has rejected the Buddhist order in Tibet, he is still revered by the Buddhist monks

Ajahn sumedho is a wonderful Dhamma teacher however agrees that full ordination of women in the Theravada tradition is not acceptable. The Kamma must be most uncomfortable to live with
all for the sake of worldly power, yet, he's supposed to have renounced the world. The Buddha did not teach sexism. The Dhamma is not about gender.

By the way, Youngin', your ego is showing?
      So you've learned nothing.
