- Poetry during English Renaissance was a delightful medley of multiple forms. Sonnets, lyrics, romances and metaphysical poetry emerged as distinct forms under the masters like Spenser, Shakespeare, Donne and others. This video is a detailed analysis of how different poetic forms emerged and who were the prominent writers in the Tudor Age, Elizabethan Age, Jacobean Age and Caroline Age. A must-watch for students of literature and aspirants of NET or SET in English.

Beautifully explained
My heart says thanks
Iambic pentameter difficult
Now it entered my heart
Literature was a bouncer
You made it so clear
Love to listen to your videos
When text gives me a scare
So much effort
So much love, you put in each line
It makes you breathless, at the end of all
Grateful to you
Grateful for life
Keep churning out stories
For the pleasure of all
The best comment I have ever got. 😘
The blank verse in poetry is by John Milton in his work Paradise Lost
Thanks for the class ma'am. I've noted down the essentials which will help me in my next semester.
You are brilliant in explaining and putting literature in right order for better and comprehensive understanding.

Answer to question asked about twelve and a half minutes in: I'm going to say Paradise Lost. My instinct is towards Eliot's "The Waste Land," sometimes referred to as the shortest Epic Poem in the English language, but the narrative weaves in and out of blank verse like a long car ride exiting and entering the express way.
Yes. I had Milton in mind here. I am obsessed with Paradise Lost, as much as with Macbeth. The other text I am obsessed with is of course, The Waste Land. Someday I will gather the courage to take up Waste Land here on this channel. But I will be wary of you Kaiden😊
@@NibblePop Please gather the courage for the Wasteland.
The answer to your question ( blank verse)is Paradise lost by Milton
Your explanation is too good and way of connecting the keys of the related things but you were going so deep from the exact topic. From Nepal And Lots of love mam❤️❤️❤️

Ma’am, there is a mistake. Didn't Sir Thomas Wyatt introduce the poulter’s measure form in poetry? Can you check again?
Besides, I have been following you for many years, I will come and meet you in person after clearing NET, there are few selfless people these days and I don't want to miss meeting and showing regard to any single one of them in my knowing.
Yes, it was Wyatt. Thank you dear ❣️
So as u asked about it who worte epic using black verse so ma'am it's answer is William Shakespeare .
No. Shakespeare wrote drama using blank verse. It was Milton who used blank verse in epic
@@NibblePop ok thanks ma'am ♥️
Maam Shakespeare wrote 37 plays right??
Is there a specific video on John Donne?
Paradise lost =epic
This is 3Rd day m watching your video, idk your teaching has an expression which mix me into the text। Btw mam I need a suggestion, i m preparing for presidency University entrance exam for pg..can I you teach me the way to learn , there's their qs not only from the historical background , they also included like "Which forms describes pearl" or what "utopia" stands for ....this is more detailed🥺
It won't help to just prepare specific questions. If you have a general idea about the trends and features of an age or a genre you will be better prepared. They will not test your memory but your grasp of core concepts. This is why I insist on textual in-depth reading. When you read one text you automatically grow a natural idea about related texts and context (age in which it is written). Also focus on literary theory specially related to post colonialism and postmodernism.
@@NibblePop accha accha ok mam thank you ❤️
Milton and Paradise Lost
John Milton.... paradise lost
right
Mam you deserve more likes I don't know why people didn't hit like
Ma'am could you suggest some books beside that
For concise and brief info Albert is good for beginners and for undergrad level. I also found Bhim S Dahiya useful for competitive exam point of view. Other than this try David Daiches for in depth analysis of historical periods. For real serious stuff try Boris Ford.
M
154 sonnets Shakespeare wrote.
Blank verse: Paradise Lost by Milton ?
Absolutely correct
Thanks ma'am
