What I found endearing about the original series is when they brought in guests like the bank robber in this one: always reformed, very charismatic and charming. It showed people that just because someone HAD the criminal mentality didn’t mean they were stuck. They could be some of the most honest, hardworking and friendly individuals you’d ever meet.
They were all excellent actors. What is not to love? Great cast, excellent stories, impeccable grooming, perfect dialogues. A period of time I sure miss a whole lot ...
I get a kick out of studying made-up ephemera like this postcard at 02:30. There are a whole bunch of mistakes. If it starts out with 'Dear Walter', it would read 'es freut mich 'dich' zu sehen'. The formal 'sie' would have to be capitalized as 'Sie', or it would mean 'they'. Same with 'um ihren letzten Brief'. The familiar way would read 'deinen Brief'. 'ihren Brief' is 'their letter'. 'brief' also needs to be capitalized. 'besten' is an adjective and needs to be in small letters (lower case). In German the address format is 1) ZIP code, 2) city, 3) street name, 4) house number. The '1' should look more akin to a '7', not just a straight vertical line. Other than those handful of mistakes, the postcard looks just like the genuine article.
The set-up sounds very much like the Parisian doctor who murdered a number of people under the guise of being able to smuggle them out of France during the war. He was not found out until much later, on a fluke.
Just curious about Bruce Geller I wonder if he had a fetish for uniforms or funny accents as almost all the IMF series involved uniforms and strange accents,.Just a thought

Please feel free to request clips of older TV shows or movies and I’ll do my best to post them!

Love ❤This Program Watch It Early Monday Morning 😊
They paid homage to this specific briefing in Rouge Nation. Nice
Jim retrieves his mission briefing from a record store in a few episodes. Dan Briggs does in season 1, ep 1.
