Let's analyze together the transition from Latin to the vernacular languages. At a certain point people no longer understand the Latin language, at the Council of Tours the bishops decide to translate the homilies into the "rustic Roman language" or "German" to communicate the evangelical message to the people. How did this transition happen? What are the first documents in the vernacular?
