IMO fake skin is just different, yes as long as you know the difference and already are used to actual skin they can be great for trying new stuff and learning new techniques. Just know actual skin is more delicate and takes ink a lot easier, have your handspeed and voltage adjusted accordingly.
How are people practicing at home supposed to learn? Also 99.9% of apprentices practice on fake skin. Its an essential tool cause we’ve evolved from the caveman era of just practicing on people only

It happened to me. Luckily I realized quick I was much softer and easier to saturate. Fake skin had tricked me!
