WHY I QUIT TATTOOING (CROSSING OVER TO THE DARK SIDE)
After 2 years of debating, I’m finally making a big change-I’m switching from my rotary pen to a coil machine for lining. It feels like learning tattooing all over again, but it’s all about honoring the bold, clean lines I love most. In this video, I share why I’m making the switch, what machine I’m using (Workhorse Irons Seth Ciferri Weiner Dog 2.3), and my thoughts on this next chapter in my tattooing journey. Fellow tattoo artists, let me know what you’re using-rotary, coils, or both? Let’s talk about it!

Hallo Emokingpin i have a question. I was wandering witch brand of needle your using.
This explains why some of my tattoos felt like i was being murdered and others were smooth
Super surprised you didn't bust out the hustle butter. Prob didn't want to waste it on a quick asmr set up
this video made me think tattoos are too expensive, and then the top comment saying "you're paying for the labor and the artwork" brought me back. this video is terrible at proving its point
I heard a loud BrRrR sound, I ask my tattoo artist to check if the needle was barbed because afterwards my tattoo started to bleed and hurt much worse. He said "nope" and kept going. Afterwards I was light headed and almost fainted when I got home, I never lost so much blood on a tattoo before. Now that the tattoo healed the lines are shaky, inconsistent and warped. (It's a brick pattern on the cuff of my arms) and he has been tattooing for 6 years
Please teach how to do a white tattoo on plastic skin.

Stop putting colors on your nails MAN!
Jail
Im wondering if this is the reason one of my tattoos was insanely painful when all the others (including on my collarbone) i barely noticed being done. It was only my second tattoo ever and wasn't paying attention/ didn't know to listen for anything odd. Also, there's a lot of wrong kind of scarring on that particular tattoo.
I'm so happy because I'm Muslim Thanks Allah
It looks amaziiing aslo I like your nails lol
You have to be so unhinged to get mad at someone and not even have the decency to check, even worse, outright dodge the responsibility
All about painting nails but bright green bro might be too much lol
I meant to leave a constructive comment - I'm sorry. This is very helpful information for those of us thinking about getting our first tattoos. I appreciate the detailed information and showing the names and packaging. Much appreciated.
why did i hear "butt dial". my brain has problems.
Those tattoo artists complaining, they are the egotistical divas that don’t care about their customers and treat them like cattle. Where being a tattoo artist is a fashion style, that’s more important to them than the customer.
Why is nobody talking about how he washed it with his socks on wet socks 😂❤❤
You don't know how to do it, bro, we here in Brazil use it, but when done well, the one you made is rubbish, bro, learn how to do it first before talking shit.
1 pair of gloves 1$? I sell a box of 100 for 5$
Lol literally a skill issue
Thank u
ya fuck that. Ive always wanted a tatoo but DUUDE THAT SHIT LOOKS SO SCARYYYY i hate needles ;-;
Like there’s always time no matter where you are and what you doing something can go wrong and sometimes you don’t even know this same if you write a letter and someone control reads it because even though you are checked for spelling mistakes there can still be spelling mistakes that you didn’t notice same here you can touch the bottom of the cab accidentally but so slightly that you don’t know this, but your client does. I’m not on tattoo artist, but if I were one I would much rather have a clientele me. Hey, I noticed you just touch the bottom of the cab could you swap out your needles please then continue normally, but causing unnecessary damage to the client Of course, as a tattoo artist, watching that your tools are sharp and straight Is something you always have to do that because you always have to check that it’s likely for mistakes to slip in and it’s good if the clients are aware and watch over it too so it’s less likely to happen same goes for any emotional support that they brought with them because the more people there are to watch over at the less likely mistake like that will slip through and cause great damage
I don't have any tattoos. I'm thinking of getting some, but after seeing this, idk. My anxiety could never!
What about putting a small sponge at the bottom of the cap for new tattoo artists?
Very telling for an artist to not like clients that complain about a very obvious problem like thaf.
Needle cup, that’s what they called me in Highschool
Just get a pet pig
holidays? please im still recovering from renovating my 120 yr old house
Nasty he got those bright ass nails🤢🤮
Just wanted to say thank you for all the tips. Great job bro. Very thankful 💯💯😎
there are lintless dry wipes you can use as well! we use them in science labs b/c you don't want lint contaminating chemicals or specimens :) i saw someone also recommend coffee filters which is a good alternative as well
I air heal lol even on my giant back piece. (With keeping it moisturized until it starts peeling then normal moisturizer)
Some people charge so high like it was an original artwork not 10 minites of tracing on an ipad
Every body different my tattooist puts cling film and that's it. When I get home I apply aloe vera cream and wrap with cling film. I keep it on even in the shower and let drop off pat dry cream cling film, repeat this process several times for 2 days aloe vera rely soaks into skin, then let it dry out. But I lotion my body every day so all good.
I got a partial sleeve around my entire arm. Top to bottom. He was hitting the bottom of the cup the entire time. I didn’t know any better and I wish I did. Most painful experience of my life
Not pressing it as hard and deep as you can on the second pass would help aswell...
Using paper cups instead of plastic significantly reduces the possibility of this if you hit the sides, but still good to check the needle if you dip too deep.
Multiple tattoos, same artist as most of them. I am bleeding way more than normal and the shading is unbearable all of the sudden, it takes her almost 5 minutes to decide to inspect the shading needle when I said I think something is wrong. I have minor scar tissue & that area has blown out a little… 2 of the prongs were bent really bad, no discount, half hearted apology.
Dont reuse needles.
He says repeatedly that it’s for use on FAKE skin for PRACTICE. Reusing for that is fine.
It's a custom ordered, hand-made body modification that is designed and embedded into your skin by the same person. I don't know how anyone could think this is a cheap and easy process
I dont see how it could be offensive to ask, "Hey, can you check the needle?" If your artist is too proud to do something that simple and important, I wouldn't be working with them.
Like day 1 of tattoo myself before others I even did this once in a while. As soon as I heard that lil brrtd I’d throw that cap and needle away. What’s 3 minutes of my time to get back on track. It’s much simpler to not take chances when it comes to the skin.

Bottom up for right handed artists ... but we're pretty far away from Spaulding and Rogers and stencils hold better than they used to.
