But thats good....If someone says you dont look like you have schizophrenia, that is a damn compliment...what would would you rather them say, Oh Yeah, I could definitely tell you were crazy and had a mental issue.
Because one of my symptoms is 'flat affect' where I don't show emotion, my co-workers think I'm super-stable emotionally. Also sometimes I will say something serious and they'll think I'm joking because of the deadpan delivery. So basically, the most stable person you know might be shattered glass on the inside and you wouldn't know.
"are you dangerous" yes the voices in my head have guided me to the path of a highly trained assassin who can kill people with a single sheet of paper.
My mom has paranoid schizophrenia and was diagnosed about 9 years ago. It was super difficult in the beginning before she was diagnosed. I was a teenager in high school and I didn't understand why she had begun to change. She would argue and fight all the time with me and strangers. She lost her job, lost our apartment, cut off all her hair, got a tattoo, she would say that god was talking to her. Everything was a sign or a message. That some sort of storm was coming and that she needed to protect me from everything. She would camp out in the woods. She tried to separate me from my friends. It came to a point where she was actually becoming violent. She didn't understand why I couldn't see what she was seeing and why I couldn't hear what she was hearing. She didn't think she was sick. She thought we were the delusional ones. Luckily, my grandparents lived nearby and I had moved in with them. Sometimes I would leave for school and come back to find a letter for me from her saying that she was in NYC, Canada, or Alaska. She didn't get help until she tried to commit suicide by jumping off a beach pier. Luckily she was saved and institutionalized at the local VA hospital where she was diagnosed and given treatment. It took a while for her to come down from the paranoia and realize that the medication was helping her instead of making her sick. She lives a somewhat normal life now as long as she takes her medicine. It's hard for her to hold a job. She has trouble with stress, focusing on certain tasks, she is easily confused and forgetful. She can differentiate reality from the occasional voices. She tells me that the voices used to sound like a crowded room and they would all say different things. Now it sometimes sounds like the adults from Charlie Brown. She also has therapy every week where she can talk it out with a professional. Her most recent incident was that she had taken her medicine before cooking dinner. When I came home from work at 11pm, I saw the stove on and the food was extremely burned and my mom was asleep on her bed (Her medicine makes her really sleepy). I had to sort of scold her like a parent about not taking her medication before she cooks. Because she could have burned the house down. Everybody's experience with schizophrenia is different. I love my mom and I would never institutionalize her. She took care of me when I needed her as a baby and now it's my job to take care of her now that she needs me.
I hate how all people with Schizo are all portrayed as being dangerous. It’s annoying. Just as the girl with red hair said, not all of them need to be put into institutions and wear straight jackets...I may not have the same thing as them, but I still sympathize with them!
They can be dangerous if not medicated. My uncle is skitzophrenic & when he stopped taking his meds he would hear voices that would tell him to do crazy things, to hurt himself & hurt others. He broke in a church & beat up the pastor. He would attack random people in the streets. They ended up sending him to a mental hospital.
Lulu Zaida yeah, but you have to remember that that is one person out of thousands. Schizophrenics are much much more likely to harm themselves than anyone else.
It's the same with antisocial personality disorder. Just because you lack empathy, conscience and responsibility it doesn't mean you're out on a killing spree or hurt everyone around you for the LULz. In fact it's not easy to live with a condition like that at all.
God, I've been waiting for this one, but you left out one of my personal hated statements when people hear you have a mental illness, especially schizophrenia; 'Oh, but you look so normal".
A super late comment but I really liked this. A vast majority of people considered dangerous do not have a mental health concern, much less schizophrenia. Peope with menal health issues are far more likely to be victims, which doesn't erase the harm so people have done, but it makes asking the question ignorant. Anyone can be dangerous is an apt statement. :)
I appreciate these videos so much because it really helps me to understand the people dealing with different things, such as autism, cancer, and so on.
Half a year ago me and a couple of girls had to pitch a story for a script for our script-writing class, and we wanted to write about a girl falling in love with a girl with schizophrenia. The main part was that they met at university, and the very first critique that our teacher had was: "but someone with schizophrenia would never be able to go to university, it's not realistic for them to meet there, she should be on a mental institute or something". Sadly back then I wasn't well educated on the subject so I believed him and came to the conclusion that we should've had made her autistic instead, that that was more 'realistic'. Long story short, I left the group, wrote a script with an autistic main character and passed the class with flying colors. After watching this video I realize my mistake. We took our teacher's ableist opinion as truth instead of doing the proper research and defending our story. Now I REALLY feel like revisiting that idea for a script.
The Halloween costume thing is REDICILOUS OMG! I sit next to a kid in science who has schizophrenia and he is a very nice kid but sometimes he gets nervous and twitches his legs and he does different things that are very random but it doesn't bother me because he told me that he has schizophrenia and I accept that and I don't stress out about it. I just ignore it and move on. I hope you all will too.😁
Good comment just you spelled Ridiculous wrong... I had to correct you I am a huge Descendants fan and one of the songs is literally spelling out ridiculous... have a nice day bye
conlan gooch Your spelling of “your” is ridiculous. What the hell even IS “Your’e”? Even if that WAS the proper form of “your” to use, it’s spelled “YOU’RE” not “your’e”
My father is schizophrenic, so I'm pretty use too and comfortable around schizophrenics. They thought in my teen years I was developing schizophrenia too, but it turned out I was actually dealing with psychotic depression. If you had cancer, or a heart attack, you'd go to the hospital, and there is no shame in being hospitalized for mental illness. Also, for the most part, especially in first world nations; the units are nice, and they are sorted by danger so you aren't around the violent mentally ill.
InclytusVirtue I agree. It's very lonely having an illness that no one knows of, and most of those who do know of it view us as monsters. It's sad that mental health awareness never seems to cover it.
My brother has schizophrenia and it's awesome to see this type of video. He literally gets these comments and it's so stupid and ignorant. Schizophrenia is different for each person who has it.
@@nesquik4556 i agree though sometimes its difficult to answer questions in a way they understand, like with me i have more auditory hallucinations than visual and people dont seem to understand that all schizophrenics have different degrees of hallucinations, and trying to explain the feeling is difficult, but people asking questions is the only way for more people to learn, its just hard to describe some things
Darian Morris Yes! It’s so different for each person! I have schizophrenia too. It is kind of annoying to get this comments, I hope he get’s Some positive comments 2
My dad has schizophrenia but he never gets these questions (he’s in an institution) he did drugs when he was young and got a bad illness when he was even younger
As a schizophrenic, I loved this video. It starts a dialogue in a very fun way. Makes us look like we are, human and not monsters. Loved loved loved it 👌❤️
ZophieWithAZ As someone with CFS, I tell you.. I'm tired of people telling me to just take a nap to fix it >___> that's not how CFS works also, having severe insomnia on top of it is a biiiiiitch. Dx
I have fibromyalgia (which goes hand in hand with chronic fatigue) and nobody in my family understands that regardless of how much sleep I get I'm always gonna be exhausted. They really should make that video
This video is so insightful. I'll never make a schizo joke again. keep these videos up! the community is growing in acceptance and love. we just need to understand and respect each other more.
That's very sweet of you. My mother has schizophrenia. I will laugh at any good joke though, what annoys me is that the "schizo jokes" are generally pretty half arsed. The punchline is usually misinformation lol(and I'm one of those annoying "UMMM ACTUALLY" people, so it's really hard for me to not ruin other people's jokes haha). People tend to confuse it with multiple personality disorder. For a lot of people, it's basically having nightmares while you're awake all the time. Very vivid hallucinations.
I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bi-polar two years ago. Honestly, the fact that the person is willing to at least try and talk to me makes me not really care what they say.
Falalongkornz You can make jokes about it as long as it is not offensive, most people with schizophrenia joke about it, making jokes it's a great way to deal with it
Another thing is "What kinds of things do the voices tell you?" Seriously, why is it so hard to understand not everyone hears clear voices? I'll hear distant voices sometimes but I can't understand what they're saying. Most the time I just see a swarm of flies where there are no real flies or I'll hear banging and movement where there is none. I also get sensation hallucinations where I swear there's a spider or something on me but there's not. Not everyone hears clear voices, there are so, SO many different types of hallucinations. Oh, and another one "Did the voices tell you to self harm?" since I do have scars from my struggle with a cutting habit. Ugh, that one's the worst because, honestly, it's not my disorders that brought on the self harm, it's dealing with the jerks who make me feel worthless because I have disorders that pushed me to that point. and yes, I have answered that question with a sharp "No, it's people like you that caused it." and oooooooooh they get pissy. What, you can be a judgemental prick to me but I can't be an honest ass to you? The axe swings both ways people.
Yea people do have a hard time understanding that there are different hallucinations and that the degree of each differs from person to person and some may not even have one or 2 of the types of hallucinations, for me i had more visual hallucinations when i was a kid but as i got older i started getting less of them and more auditory hallucinations to the point i have to always have some kind of sound to drown it out, most commonly ill hear my name, or a distant fight, or in the worst cases its almost like theres another person in my head screaming at me, and what makes it hard isnt the disorder but the 2 types of people who either treat you like a freak and are afraid, or the ones who say things like "oh your normal just grow up and be like everyone else and stop thinking your special" like it doesnt exist or that im making it up
I think that for these kinds of things, people just need to be more informed about issues like these or, I don't know, learn how to be a decent human being to everyone?? Geez, that's so insensitive of them to just assume and burst out like that...
I some times get a sensation that someone if touching me or I hear someone walking around my house also I sometimes see a woman or a dark figure standing in a room the voices are all paranoid and sometimes tell me to hurt people.
I like that this video isn't putting the disorder in a bad light, all these people are just people, dealing with shit nobody understands just like the rest of us
Thank god you made this video to people who misunderstood schizophrenics.I told my friend I was diagnosed with this illness and the next day,she thought I would violate her because of the movies. How immature
LaVonne West actually people with acne have to face a lot of critique and prejudices. Like people saying just wash your face, it's disgusting, aren't you too old to have acne, don't wear make up or try being vegan and try this stuff or that. So I think acne fits really well into this series of things not to say 😊. I mean the: what not to say to tall people video could be considered as not serious enough and they still made a video for it.
faceman Yeah I agree. I hadn't seen that one yet when I made this comment. I had only been through around 4 videos and all of them were about mental issues and such. At the same time I may have even been understating the importance of the topic, as I've never had acne so I don't know how it feels
LaVonne West it's nice to see you rethinking that topic. I had sever acne (it got a lot better now) and it was seriously so damaging to my self-confidence.
that-lil-trans-boy yep me too! and I find people are sometimes jealous of it almost as it makes me seem interesting or get more attention. It's rediculous lol
Last year when I was a junior in high school I did an essay on people with schizophrenia arguing that not all of them are dangerous crazy people, and at the time we were living with someone with paranoid schizophrenia which helped my argument very much because he was a real life example of someone who was not dangerous but yet had schizophrenia.
I feel like people with Schizophrenia can be really misunderstood... People look at them like they are absolutely crazy. But they're still people, they're just a bit different.
'Remember it's all in your head' THAT'S THE WHOLE BLOODY POINT!!! Nobody wants to have voices that speaks horrible things to them or see something horrible that the mind had visualize.
I'm so happy they acknowledged that drug-induced schizophrenia is actually a thing. Whenever I tell someone I'm again cannabis due to the fact my friend had drug-induced schizophrenia and ended up killing himself I always get told that I'm lying and it can't happen.
Charlotte Carson cannabis won't make you get schizophrenia if you don't steals have it. It can trigger it in people that are already likely to develop schizophrenia so really you can't develop schizophrenia from smoking it. The link between cannabis and schizophrenia is purely correlational and the correlation between schizophrenia and alcohol is higher than between cannabis and schizophrenia but no one ever talks about that one because there's no agenda to be pushed for alcohol
I knew someone who had permanent (several years, even after quitting) drug-induced psychosis because of ecstacy/bubble/legal highs. Didnt quite fit the schizophrenia criteria til the months leading up to his suicide.
While there is no way to say something does or does not cause a complex illness like schizophrenia, it is well known and documented that mind-altering substances (legal and illegal, prescription and recreational) can trigger the onset of schizophrenic spectrum conditions and mood disorders. You might be born with the potential, but usually something sets it off. For him it was drugs. For my grandmother it was pregnancy. For some people its puberty, stress, hardship etc.
I love my schizophrenia. After my mom passed away I was devastated and always sad..Until a voice appeared in my head telling me “It’s okay, your mom may be gone physically, but still in your heart. It’s okay. Take deep breaths. It’s okay. I’ll raise you until you’re okay, I know no one could replace your mother but I’m gonna keep you until you both reunite.” She’s so sweet, her name is Ashley and she treats me like her own daughter even though she’s a voice in my head
On the other hand you get people saying 'We all get problems with our mental health sometimes' thereby trivializing what is an extremely serious mental illness and passing off symptoms ( especially negative and cognitive ones) as 'nothing to worry about'. That can be as annoying as those who think you should be in an institution. Good video though.😊
Thank you so much for this gem. I feel so much less isolated. I feel so validated and understood. When the question asked "are you dangerous"? And the woman answered "well I CAN be" with a tiny eyebrow raise and a twinkle in her eye I really smiled.
My voices make me feel powerful, fearless, and beautiful and it's literally amazing. But, sometimes, other voices come in and tell me I'm worthless, ugly, fat, weak, etc, but then they fight. And it's hard. This mostly happens when insulted about something to personal or I'm overwhelmed. Also when I'm stressed out, I hear screams and car collisions.
Just Some Person Lol My voices mostly talk about useless random stuff and repeat stuff, or they say negative things like I'm worthless. It's especially annoying when I try to focus on something like a test or when I'm reading a book because they get louder.
Please do a 'Things not to say to someone with an eating disorder', a 'Things not to say to someone with OCD' and a 'Things not to say to someone who self harms' cause I really need to hear other people describing their experiences with these issues, just so I know I'm not alone lol
I love this video thank you for making this and being so honest my son is struggling with schizophrenia and I hate how bad people treat him he has been kickes out of every place he has lived because people think he's weird and it just kills my heart to watch him say he doesn't have any friends anymore and he wishes he could go back to when he was never diagnosed. This gives me hope for people to stop crucifying those with mental illness and just stop being afraid of something you don't understand when that's all it is is you don't understand so you impulsively turn to fear!
OmmmmGGGGGGGGG I relate on a personal level, I recently had to become open about my schizophrenia recently and questions like some of these really piss me off
Ugh, I can relate to "it's all in your head" because I've been told that or "cheer up" with depression and I say "Well no shit, but how's that supposed to help me?" If I could make myself happier, don't you think I would? Sometimes people are plain idiots.
I have brittle bones and the thing I get most often Is wow! how cool to have something quirky like that. or worse still sometimes people are jealous of uniqueness and the attention that you get when you are sick. bloody crazy!!
JaninasSolar_system "Are they like imaginary friends?" "Do you see people?" "Do you hear voices?" "Don't you mean schizophrenia?" "You're making it up" "Stop pretending to be different people" "There's nothing wrong with you" "So you hear voices?" "That's the same thing as Borderline Personality Disorder right?" "So do you know who I am?" "Can I meet/talk to the others?" "You're still one person, you just act like other people sometimes"
JaninasSolar_system I've just been learning more about DID and I find it very intriguing. Might be the most strong example of the capability of the human mind. I just hope it wasn't too hard on you my friend.
For me, people with Schizophrenia DON'T have another personality, they have a split way of thinking but the personality remains unchanged. That's why I didn't think Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde was a schizophrenic.
I don't think the author ever claimed that he was? Or if he did, it might've been before DID became more widely known and it was all just considered "schizo" in one way or another. Also, Jekyll didn't have a disorder. Turning into an alter ego was caused by an invention of his, not a condition he had, though I'm sure it was meant to draw a parallel to the parts of us we tend to suppress vs. the parts of us we tend to display.
My best friend is schizophrenic and he is one of the most gentle people I've ever met. He is ridiculously intelligent, friendly, open-minded, funny and understanding. I'm autistic myself, so he knows what it's like to be put in a negative light by society and the media. These videos are so amazing; they're a well-deserved slap in the face to all the neurotypicals who can't do anything else than stereotyping us (and they call us low-functioning...)
My mom is schizophrenic and hasn't been on medication for most of my life (I'm almost 23 and a Black American female). When I was about 3, I knew that there was something wrong with her mentally because she was having hallucinations before CPS got involved. I think the worst thing you can do is isolate anyone with any sort of mental disability whether it's an illness, or if they have an intellectual disability, autism, etc. I'm so glad that people are becoming more open, aware, and curious of these things. Thankfully, I have family that is so close to her and she is basically everyone's aunt. I'm so grateful with other people's patience. Especially since we figured out what her triggers are and things like that. Wouldn't trade that old lady for the world. Thinking of going to grad school for psychology or sociology just so that I can help her without doping her up on a bunch of meds. The US is such a pill pushing nation.
Mitra Momtazi It's probably not as bad as what me and your loved one has. There are different types of schizophrenia. These people seem a little privileged to be honest... We don't like being told that it's in our heads but we have to cope with that fact whether we like it or not.
Fresh Salad I'm not talking about the mental illness, I mean they're personalities. Sorry if I was unclear. (Edit) this whole "things not to say" series tends to host a lot of sheltered people. The world doesn't need our approval to do things, it just does it. And some people might actually be curious about what it's like to have schizophrenia.
Fresh Salad I think a better title would be "things that we are tired of hearing." I don't want people to be even more afraid to talk to me, but I will admit that it gets annoying answering to the same questions all the time.
Nesquik - Agreed. "Things not to say" and titles like that, makes it sound like people have to really walk on egg shells and single that person out as "special needs", that they have to watch their words around. I don't have schizophrenia, rather schizotypal personality disorder, but I don't get angry about people thinking that means I think the television is telling me to do stuff or that I have split personality or something. That's just them being uninformed or misinformed, and I can just tell them what it REALLY is. It's people that are uninformed pretending to be informed and "educating" me about my own conditions that really flips my switch. That "it's all in your head" one or "mental illness isn't a real thing, it's just something the medicine companies made up to sell placebo effects" by far being the worst.
As someone who keeps this part of myself hidden to everyone and can't outwardly express that I have this illness or even do anything about it, this makes me really happy to see and feel like I'm not crazy or the only one. Iv'e been called fake because I live relatively normally to people around me and it made me doubt my own head at times but this makes me feel so much better because they are just like me. Its such an internal struggle and what others see of the person isn't what they see out. I don't know how to express it...I'm grateful this was made.
I'm sorry you struggle with this illness. I hope you are okay. My mum has battled with schizophrenia for years. Her treatment is working really well now and she leads a really happy and full life. I hope you are okay and that you have support from doctors, family and friends and that you are happy too.
I know some one with it and it's never discussed with their parents and it's like they don't have it... when I ask them about it I'm told, don't mention it too them... it's like a big secret. I find it very sad.. so I know where you are coming from... plus I find if you mention the illness people tend to think the person has many personalities, so it is people's ignorance... my friend doesn't take medication and seems ok... but is the sweetest kindest and most loyal person and that's the thing, this effects really sensitive people who can pick up on other people's emotions... it's very misunderstood...🌞

It sounds like you've been through a lot. thank you for sharing your story, you're very brave
Theresa Shores i really relate to this
I prayed my kids will take care of me if I get worse when I'm older and they r grown great but sad story good luck
ur story got resemblance with me also but with my husband
Theresa Shores I am sorry for your mom I hope she gets better just always be positive and hope for the best
Right
Yes i have to battle thoughts of self harm daily...gets old i dont think i want to much more of this but i remain hopeful
It's the same with antisocial personality disorder. Just because you lack empathy, conscience and responsibility it doesn't mean you're out on a killing spree or hurt everyone around you for the LULz. In fact it's not easy to live with a condition like that at all.
The girl is the black hoodie is gorgeous
Ahh thank you 💙
STAY ALIVE FAZ you're welcome 😘
I agree 😍
Ikr
I know, right!!!
God, I've been waiting for this one, but you left out one of my personal hated statements when people hear you have a mental illness, especially schizophrenia; 'Oh, but you look so normal".
“Are you dangerous”
Everybody in the world has the ability to be dangerous
Your right and just because someone has a disorder or disability doesn’t mean they are dangerous any one can be dangerous enough
Meagan Chalmers me too and sometimes it teaches me about new disorders as well.
and i found out about so many things too
and my mom likes me watching this kind of stuff because it's emotional inteligence and general culture
Half the comments are deep and moving and the other half are just people saying how hot the girl in the hoodie is 😂
But she’s not
@@ocgsage140 i think she is tho 😳
"Remember, its all in your head"
..."Wow, how brilliant. Your gentle reminder has magically unfucked up my entire brain chemistry."
You should.
It happens. So it's not your fault.
do it.
Yaaas do it!
If you do make it and you film it in the socal area, I'd love to shoot it. This sounds like a beautiful project
THINGS NOT TO SAY TO SOMEONE WITH OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER PLEASE !!
Grace Lewis Mendoza yes!!
Grace Lewis Mendoza yes
YEEEESS !!
YES
yess there's loads of things that could be used for that one
The Halloween costume thing is REDICILOUS OMG! I sit next to a kid in science who has schizophrenia and he is a very nice kid but sometimes he gets nervous and twitches his legs and he does different things that are very random but it doesn't bother me because he told me that he has schizophrenia and I accept that and I don't stress out about it. I just ignore it and move on. I hope you all will too.😁
Actress LPS people like you are the reason why I still want to be in this generation
schizophrenia is like you don't know what's real, right? you can't tell the difference? and well i'm totally okay with that lol
Good comment just you spelled Ridiculous wrong... I had to correct you I am a huge Descendants fan and one of the songs is literally spelling out ridiculous... have a nice day bye
The reason why he twitches a bit is because he has side effects from certain meds it sucks. He needs CBD to prevent that.
conlan gooch Your spelling of “your” is ridiculous.
Please do borderline personality disorder! It's still a massively misunderstood and stigmatised illness and I would love to see it discussed here.
Evie Jordan no one really knows what it is which is sad. Living with it is so confusing at times.
InclytusVirtue I agree. It's very lonely having an illness that no one knows of, and most of those who do know of it view us as monsters. It's sad that mental health awareness never seems to cover it.
Evie Jordan I agree, having this disorder, many people don't understand me
Erika Price Same here unfortunately. I try to talk about it and promote awareness where I can but the stigma against it is so hard to combat.
InclytusVirtue YES
"it's all in your head!"

Absolutely right!

completely changed how i view this disorder, thank you a lot

My brother has schizophrenia and it's awesome to see this type of video. He literally gets these comments and it's so stupid and ignorant. Schizophrenia is different for each person who has it.
Darian Morris I actually don't mind it. The people who ask me these types of questions are genuinely curious.
Loved loved loved it 👌❤️
"Things not to say to people with fatigue/CFS" or "things not to say to people with anxiety"
ZophieWithAZ As someone with CFS, I tell you.. I'm tired of people telling me to just take a nap to fix it >___> that's not how CFS works
also, having severe insomnia on top of it is a biiiiiitch. Dx
ZophieWithAZ I wish I could give this more thumbs up. hey ho. 👍👍👍
I have fibromyalgia (which goes hand in hand with chronic fatigue) and nobody in my family understands that regardless of how much sleep I get I'm always gonna be exhausted. They really should make that video
ZophieWithAZ both of these pleaseeeee
Digital Devil King yes! my cfs gives me insomnia which is so dumb like i'm so tired but i can't sleepppp
This video is so insightful. I'll never make a schizo joke again. keep these videos up! the community is growing in acceptance and love. we just need to understand and respect each other more.
Falalongkornz I'm glad you see those jokes are bad!!!
Falalongkornz it's offensive to some to be called "schizo"
There’s still a big stigmata against mental illness, the way forward is education.

What not to say to people who have asthma : if you lost weight you would be better or my favourite... is "just breathe" 😬
Jacqueline Bull omg so true! my pe teacher once said "don't worry there's enough air in this room"
Gudrun Hartl I was born 7 weeks early and had under developed lungs but don't worry I'll just breathe through it 😬
Jacqueline Bull i have gotten, "Drink more water" before.... Like, i drink a lot of water already.....

Things not to ask someone with acne next, please!
love love love this series
farzanaindisguise no
farzanaindisguise I don't think that topic is as serious as the others that they have tackled and would be out of place

Please do 'what not to say somebody with insomnia!' Or 'what not to say to somebody with a genetic/chronic illness!'

The one that really gets me is, ah nevermind (to someone with a chronic invisible illness) when you're really in pain. :'(
Or 'you look well', when you're suffering with a chronic illness.

"YES, MY GENES ARE AIRBORNE"
"go to sleep earlier" is one I hear often with insomnia :o)
Last year when I was a junior in high school I did an essay on people with schizophrenia arguing that not all of them are dangerous crazy people, and at the time we were living with someone with paranoid schizophrenia which helped my argument very much because he was a real life example of someone who was not dangerous but yet had schizophrenia.
that was cool
the girl in black hoodie is so pretty

That would be good if you exclude "so calm down"
Do one for depression or anxiety
Krenzy When they come out with one for depression I'm going to send it to all of my friends.
I feel like people with Schizophrenia can be really misunderstood... People look at them like they are absolutely crazy. But they're still people, they're just a bit different.
The girl with the black cap and hoodie is really beautiful.

My cousin had it too, from drug use... Sadly he's dead now.. some drug related killing. He was such a generous soul though.. :(
I knew someone who had permanent (several years, even after quitting) drug-induced psychosis because of ecstacy/bubble/legal highs. Didnt quite fit the schizophrenia criteria til the months leading up to his suicide.
Insufferable Know-It-All you do not get schizophrenia from exctasy either
It’s okay. I’ll raise you until you’re okay, I know no one could replace your mother but I’m gonna keep you until you both reunite.”

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do a "person who self harms" one.

"So do you know who I am?" "Can I meet/talk to the others?" "You're still one person, you just act like other people sometimes"
Gamerbids ohh my god. Exactly
JaninasSolar_system I've just been learning more about DID and I find it very intriguing. Might be the most strong example of the capability of the human mind. I just hope it wasn't too hard on you my friend.
You probably are making it up
For me, people with Schizophrenia DON'T have another personality, they have a split way of thinking but the personality remains unchanged.
No I don't think he was meant to be.
CBD can help too. Look up Cannabis Oil as long it has no THC. Do some research it has Omega positive effects to the brain.
I hope you do pursue that route... it seems like you would be such a wonderful advocate
I was recently just diagnosed with schizophrenia and this made me feel a lot better about myself. Thank you to all you beautiful people.
I wish my loved one who has schizophrenia was as functional and social as the people in this video :/
Mitra Momtazi It's probably not as bad as what me and your loved one has. There are different types of schizophrenia. These people seem a little privileged to be honest... We don't like being told that it's in our heads but we have to cope with that fact whether we like it or not.
I had the same thought

Things not to say to someone with an eating disorder!!!!
Also “are you having a vision right now?”

My friends father had schizophrenia , one day he wrecked the house because he said the devil was there, it was terribly sad. He ended up committing suicide because of it and I will never forget how it effected my friend.

These videos are important. They expose stigmas and allow people who actually live with disorders. It's very important.
Someone at my school dressed up in a straight jacket for Halloween and said they where a schizophrenic. I almost punched them.
I'm schizophrenic and these things get said to me extremely often, it annoys me *a lot*
