I can't wait to come back. The best thing about Africa is the diversity of places. I've been to all regions and they have their own unique culture. I'm more favorable of East Africa and specifically the Horn nations (Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti) because of the opportunities over there. Ethiopia just finished their dam so the country will have plenty of economic potential.
Great video. I had my slights on Ghana and West África. I visited South Africa and Kenya 5 mouths ago. I had a great trip. I will return to Kenya on Friday. I will visit Tanzania and Uganda. My mind is already settled in on Uganda because of the quality of life, beautiful curvy women, warm weather and the cost of Living. After looking at these pros and the cons, Uganda is my choice. My girl is trying to convence me that Kenya is the better choice but I choose Uganda. Apt in Kenya can easily go for $600 but Uganda I can get an apt for between 200-450 and start my Agra buisness. Knumbs up for Uganda.
You will do very well with Agro business in Uganda. Iam a ugandan farmer. We have two planting seasons in one year. With a greenhouse, you can plant and harvest all year round. Will you be exporting your produce? Thats more profitable but you have to study the most profitable crops for export first if thats what you will be interested in doing.

Oshay Duke Jackson, great information. Thank you. I've traveled to 5 African countries and a factor that is of crucial importance to me in determining what African Country to move to is the availability of a shipping port and Import Duty Tax. These factors can make or break your business. Keep up the good work.
@@renzooso7404 It truly depends on your planned Agenda once you move to the continent. Oshay Duke Jackson covers this in detail in his videos. Goods move four different ways, by Air, Sea, Freight and train. Of the four Air is the most expensive. It's 8 to 12 times more expensive than Sea. This is why being located near ports are so important. So if you're needing to import from another country and you're in a landlocked country the cost will be higher than if you're in a coastal country with a port. This doesn't apply to small goods like a few electronics or clothes etc. Kenganda did a video about alternative shipping to get the best price for non bulk items. What I'm referring to is shipping in bulk. If you're shipping cars, heavy equipment, large shipping containers or construction supplies the cost would be lower going into a port by sea. However, the challenge that I'm facing is the extremely high import duty tax on imported goods. This is a major problem that's counterproductive to building a business in a place where the goods you need may not be readily available or are of poor quality. You should visit the places you're interested in and study the economic environment. Then make a decision. You can do well in Landlocked countries if your plan doesn't include importing bulk items. My plan however does include importing heavy equipment and Automobiles so I need to be close to a port in a country that doesn't have high import duty tax. I hope this helped you in some way. Much Success to you.

As an African(Cameroon ) living in the USA this my top 10 countries of moving back to the continent : Rwanda, Ethiopia, Botswana, Namibia , Angola, Mozambique, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal. These are the countries with most panafricanisme spirit. Language is not barrier. People always speak English even in French speaking countries.

I am West African and so I believe that our African American diaspora should focus on building the power base on the West Coast of Africa, but I believe that, the black diaspora including our African American brothers and sisters should make any where in Africa home as they feel fit!
I just realised that the comment section a lot of people repeat ''safety'' as a discouraging issue. Let me tell you that Africa is far more safer than both USA and Latin America. Both Americas combined have more homicides than Africa. Chicago, St louise and Baltimore combined have more homicides than entire African continent. What are you afraid of going to africa if you are not afraid of going to Chicago or Baltimore? People should use their common sense and not media propaganda about Africa.

As a South African I must say that if African Americans went to West Africa it'd be of great benefit for them and the locals. You share a heritage and what you know from the developed countries would be an asset to them. East Africa as well especially with installing ethics and regulatory boards for everything. All these administrative and regulatory authorities must be put in place and from there the growth you'll effect will be of great benefit. You wouldn't;t really add anything worthwhile to the South African economy out side of quality employment but those regions need you more and I believe for the visionaries, thee's more opportunity too because Africa is like prospecting for you guys.
Because I married an Ethiopian I plan on building a home over there and staying there in my retirement years. I've been to the country three times. We plan on going back in 2022. Eventhough Amharic is the national language. Everyone 40 and under knows how to speak English very well. Especially if they're educated in the capital city and any city in the northern part of the country. The street signs are also in their national language as well as in English and so it was easy to get around in all honesty. We plan on visiting other African countries too, but Ethiopia is going to be my second home away from home. There are some black Americans there, but no where near the numbers in Ghana.
Congratulations, I am so Happy for you! My Prayer is one day if the World Still Exists, I want to Come to Africa to Live! Again, congratulations Blessings!🙏🏽
Great content my brother, as you said Uganda is a great country with lovely people. African Americans are not moving to west Africa because it is better, they're only doing so because they believe that's where their ancestors are from. And moving to west Africa, they had limited choices because they first look at the safety of the countries, then language as you said, cost of living and finally business opportunities. These conditions limits most African francophone countries which means only Senegal and Benin are closer to meting those conditions. And among the English west Africa, Nigeria and Liberia had a history of terrible instabilities which also limits the number to Ghana, Gambia and Sierre Leone. I really agree with you that they should consider East and South African countries which have more stable countries than West Africa. When the African decent are decentralised in African countries, it will provide more balance than having high number of them concentrated in one area. Much love to you from Fajara, The Gambia!!!
Please you can invite all African American to your shit country without disrapaging Nigeria. The last time I checked, Nigeria still remains the cultural and economic capital of Africa. If I may ask, why are your stable good for nothing countries known for? Yeye.

@@yomexy1187 I don't hate Nigeria, it is the biggest economy of the continent but their leaders are some of the reasons Africa is still not developing rapidly. They should take lead as the biggest economy and most populous country. Instead they refused to destroy bokoram a small insurgent group that even Chad was able to destroyed in their country. Nigeria should always have a strong and good leader because he will not only be the president of Nigeria but the leader of the continent at large.
@@MrBah-tw3gt As Africans we are quick to judge one another. Why are you not judging these African Americans based on the incessant gang shooting in Chicago, California, Newyork, Massachusetts etc but you are so quick to judge a country of 36 states with only a minor part of one of its states having this issue. If I may ask you, where was Chad when the Nigeria army pushed this group out of Nigeria only for them to seek refuge in the border part of Chad, Niger and Cameroon. We clamour for their support then to help us flush them out but they refused cos majority of these Boko Haram are from these countries. The terrain of this battle is vast with hills and mountains. It is not like a conventional battle where you know your enemies. Often times, they come in disguised as traders, preachers etc. It is not as simple as you thought, Bro. The problem with our government is that they don't show off or publicise our efforts in Africa and West Africa especially. Go and read about the Liberia and Sierra Leone civil war and the impact of Nigerian soldiers and government before the UN came. Go and read about the coupdetat that occurred in Soa Tome and the impact of the Obasanjo government in restoring democracy to that region. Go and read who made the man who ruled your Gambia for close to 50 years live. If you don't know that it was the moment our Navy started moving towards your country, that made your former president changed his mind to leave. Same with Ivory coast now with Mali. If you don't know our former president Goodluck Jonathan is presently in Mali to bring stability to that region. Check out Togo, Benin and Ghana. We are the one providing the gas they are using to power their electricity. They are owing us millions of dollars yet we didn't stop even though it is affecting our own electrical generation. Please, before you insult the great country of Nigeria go and read about how our fathers paid the ultimate price in different parts of Africa to ensure peace.

The country that is not stable is having the whole world dancing to the music coming out from its streets. The country that is not stable is sending doctors, teachers, nurses to different parts of Africa to help with shortages. The last time I checked, all these music and movie stars and our billionaires are living peaceful in the great Nigeria not outside. All of them!! So, please can you tell me what stability means?

Really love the idea of the diaspora finding a new life in African countries. It would be cool to see more of you guys in Southern African countries too. I myself am from Botswana so I can't help promoting my country 😂🇧🇼🇧🇼🙌🏽 Most people speak fluent English and the rest can understand it so language barrier isn't much of a problem here 🤞
Great Ifo Oshay, I did a little research on individual wealth as follows; South Africa/GDP per capita 6,374.03 USD (2018) Ghana/GDP per capita 2,202.31 USD (2018) Nigeria/GDP per capita 2,028.18 USD (2018) Kenya/GDP per capita 1,710.51 USD (2018) Tanzania/GDP per capita 1,050.68 USD (2018) The Gambia/GDP per capita 716.12 USD (2018) Uganda/GDP per capita 642.78 USD (2018)
According to the little research i have done on Gambia and Uganda, Uganda has better infrastructure than Uganda. Also Uganda is in the group of the 10 fastest developing countries in Africa. Uganda might be a little more expensive than Gambia but also this depends on the lifestyle you want to lead. Why not visit the 2 countries first, and compare and contrast before making the final move?
African Americans and those of African decent in the diaspora, can move to any country in the West, Central and south of Africa. For easy transition they can move to English speaking countries. Now, if you are good at picking up new languages then you can move to French speaking countries.
More and more people in french-speaking countries are fluent in English. But, you're right, for an African-American, the ease of communicating in English makes English-speaking countries more attractive.
Props on your new content Oshay. I used to watch you when you were doing videos from Poland. You've pivoted quite well. Keep up the good work fam! Brother from 🇰🇪🤜🏾
The answer is simple, visit any country in West Central East or Southern Africa first. Just go and see first. Do your research, don't just relocate to a country everybody go to. Your cup of tea is not my tea. Research and research, you have lots of countrys to choose from. Let spread out so we have less competition among us but broader collaborative advantage. Africa is open for business and the continent has evolve with open arm to receive kings and queens back home
I think most AAs are drawn to West Africa because that is where their ancestry is from so i think they feel connected there. East and South Africa does not come up alot when they do their ancestry dna tests so they don't really pick as much interest in these places as they do West African countries.
What they don't get is that the Bantu people migrated from West, Central and East Africa to Southern Africa. So the black people in Southern Africa are part of their ancestry.
With the thousands of African Americans I've met so far they prefer to settle in SA, we might not have the DNA ancestry, but majority feel morethan free when they are in SA despite the challenges that we have and the negative narrative perpetuated by media, the reasons they prefer SA is human rights, access to many basic things such as electricity, clean tap water, better reasonable properties, schools, reasonable private health care, biodiversity, cultural diversity and many other influential factors
You are so right my brother. It's cheap to start a business here in Uganda. If you go into manufacturing or agricultural production you will have access to a regional market of about l0 east and central african countries. Plus there are alot of incentives for investors from the government. Our African brothers and sisters from the diaspora should come back home and take advantage of all these opportunities.
The East African Community countries (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda) should be considered as one destination because they are very close together and getting more integrated economically, socially and politically. The people and cultures are very similar. You can live in either one of them and visit the other easily. They are all very beautiful countries, but each has its particular charm and advantages. The weather varies though: coastal areas are very hot, Central Kenya can be quite cold, Uganda has the mildest, friendliest weather all year round.
@@Kenganda Your evolution shows a lot brother. From your videos, you seem at great peace and satisfied being on the continent, Uganda. My turn would be next year on the continent.
Africa has 54 thriving beautiful countries. I think everyone should do their research to find out which country suits you. No one should be going for going sake. What do you want to do there ? What are the opportunities there for you? does this country have the security infrastructure to support you ? Do you have health issues ? Will you have good medical care there ? Narrow your search to one region and then visit the countries. For me it is west Africa;Ghana,Nigeria and Gambia.
They wouldn't really bring anything though. They'd be like every other African coming to Mzansi. All they'd bring is a labor force at best and we are already at capacity with labor.
This couldn’t limit you or be reason not to visit or live because of language barrier. Americans are not use to knowing multiple languages it not that hard if you willing want to learn.
I can understand your point. However I have been living overseas since 2015 full time in between Europe and Africa. English speaking countries are much easier to do things in. Having to learn a new language is also very consuming. There is no francophone country in Africa that has a superior advantage over an English speaking country to where I would learn a new European language
Kenganda I meant to said if you are going to spend a lot time in a place and do business. You should try to know the local language. Not other European language. We are in a pandemic and you have nothing but time. I personally think it’s good for your business. Just my opinion.

I wanted to know who speaks for those who want to continue their careers over in Africa? I work in IT and I would love to think about moving to africa but to continue my career instead of starting a business.
I like this videos because they are short and precise. And the information is good. This is not the first time I hear Gambia, but it is the first time I heard about East African countries being cheaper. Anyway, I first recognized his videos in Europe and then Kenya with Dr Mumumba and Maya.
The best Country to move to is the one where currency is lower than your current like for example if you convert US dollars 60k to South african Rand you will have 1 million, then 60k pounds to rands you will have 1.3 million then your life is good from there you can afford to live in good cities. Currency is important when you relocate.

I lived in East Africa for 8 years and have been back in the states for 4.5 years (counting everyday because I'm ready to go back) there is a learning curve, like any place. Learn the environment and let that lead you.
This was a very good video. Many moons ago when I was in undergrad, while studying the continent, Uganda stood out despite the propaganda against it because a certain somebody had the audacity to say, "Africa for the African!" Of course, the Euro powers/Colonizers and their proxies went at him the way they went at Castro (with many Africans, unfortunately, allegedly, losing their lives in service to the Colonizers---from what I gathered). Getting the inside scoop and ignoring the serious, PsyOp smear campaign against this African leader, I learned that certain foreigners were expelled and Swahili was made the national language. Thus, I always had a special place in my heart for Uganda. My only issue --- as a Detroiter who enjoys going to the Detroit River and driving around Belle Isle (an actual island between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario - Canada) with the top down --- is that Uganda is landlocked. I love the water. Two of my favorite professors - one super famous; back in the day, who did a PBS series that proved controversial amongst Pan Africanists - were from Kenya and I know a Tanzanian who'll be heading back there when he retires in a year or two. Finally, I did a HUGE report on the EAC, the East African Community, so, choosing between those three countries will be a challenge, but my heart was in Uganda because the Baganda people (as well as the fighters in the Mau Mau Uprising in Kenya who first rocked dreadlocks, according to some sources) were fearsome fighters.

You shouldn't worry too much about competition. Everywhere you go, even places with few AAs, you will face competition. Just think of what you want to do and research the market, make connections and figure out how to start.
Which sector of the economy are you looking into investing, that is for Nigeria? That way I may be able to tell if it is competitive or a goldmine. However, if you settle for Nigeria and you are bringing better packaging in your choice of business you will definitely break even in shortest time.

Oshay Duke Jackson, great information. Thank you. I've traveled to 5 African countries and a factor that is of crucial importance to me in determining what African Country to move to is the availability of a shipping port and Import Duty Tax. These factors can make or break your business. Keep up the good work.
Man a Kenyan here names Sos just told me that he said if you move to Africa Make Sire you Go somewhere with a Port damn

Ghana is always the gateway to Africa.
I think most AAs are drawn to West Africa because that is where their ancestry is from so i think they feel connected there. East and South Africa does not come up alot when they do their ancestry dna tests so they don't really pick as much interest in these places as they do West African countries.
And Actually South Africa ain't much different with that America.Even the cost of living is comparable

U are welcome everywhere in Africa. Forget the French the English the Portuguese or the Spanish. They shouldn’t be allowed to determine where u should move to or visit. People gotta stop thinking that Africa limits itself to Ghana Nigeria Liberia South Africa ouganda kenya Expand ur horizon and get out of ur comfort zone to experience other countries in Africa. U are truly missing out. I of course I love all my Ghana Nigeria and other countries mentioned above. It’s family. Blessings.
East Africa would be an easy Transition for African Americans, and white Americans as well. Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda have a lot of people that are fluence in English, and most people East Africa are well aware of Americans as people in general. Americans are easy going people so I don't think American will have trouble fitting in there. one of my high school teammate has been living in Kenya for at 12 years now, and he is married to a girl from Kenya, and they have a little kids now. They often come to the United States during holidays like Thanksgivings and Christmas, and then back to Kenya. I know you guys want to know if the guy is white or African American, so let me just tell you now, he is white. I was in Uganda in January of 2020, and what I can tell you is that, everyone is coming to Africa. I saw whites, Indians, Asians, Arabs, and Latinos in Uganda. I saw the same in Ethiopia, I saw the same demographics at the airport in Ethiopia.
I thought moving to the continent for..African Anericans, African Caribbeans was firemistly based on the DNA of their Ancestors. If they choose any other different country then they should go through the procedures of applying for Right of Abode of that particular country!!!

Awesome video !!
“👑GAMBIA👑 ” ONE LOVE❣️🌞.
It’s not just black Americans who want to move to Africa. Just putting it out there.
But we are a black show and that’s who we reach out to.. just putting it out there!
They're like that, making videos as if it only apply to them, limiting the purpose of the video, very dumb if you ask me
Keep up the good work brother. More black Americans need to move to Africa, because Africa belongs to you as well. Remember that
Very good and explicit info 👍
Diaspora should consider Liberia, Sierra Leon & Gambia more! Opportunities abounds in those countries as well. I’m Ghanaian though. We welcome everyone with positive mindset to the motherland 💪🏿🖤👍🏾🙏
We don't want nobody in Nigeria. All those that came in to Nigeria refused to leave despite mocking Nigeria before coming.
Once you get into Nigeria you won't wanna leave. Nigeria is a vibe! You know!
And it's very funny that a lot of those commenting don't go to Nigeria had never even visited. They would not want to leave! There are over 36 states with multiple cities to choose from! Business providing ANY TYPE of needed service will thrive without you needing to export a pin. Even services in hospitality, technology and so on will thrive. Just do a market research for your target market and the specific city it would be most needed before you can start offering that service out of the state to other areas. People think it is only in Lagos state or Abuja they can have their businesses especially in tech. But there are lots of available states where their business will thrive better as it would be providing a needed service there.
Just last year, a friend of my kid sister who graduated from an Ondo state University, started an agricultural crops trading business. He started very small with less than 500,000 Naira by soliciting for investors among family members. He gave 30% interest every 3 to 4 months per invested amount. He started buying tomatoes, onions, sesame seeds, groundnuts, etc from farmers in the North and selling wholesale in the West and South. Well.... 1 year later especially in this pandemic, he is making millions and conveying truckload of goods from different farms across several states for sale.
@@bukolalawrence Wow! That's Naija power. So many opportunities to create wealth, if you are ready to put in the work.
Then why are so many Nigerian youths stampeding to leave ? Some are even dying in the Sahara and the high seas trying to find a better life elsewhere.
@@pietrojenkins6901 people leave for many reasons. The promise of a televised European lifestyle is what they think they are headed for. Even though Nigeria is chock full of opportunities many people overlook these opportunities. The majority of illegal immigrants from Africa to Europe hail from Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Somalia and Sudan. While I don't deny that many do come from Nigeria. The majority of them pay up to $1000 to travel on a float boat across the Mediterranean 🙆 it can only be stupidity. While literacy rates are improving, there are still 30% of the population who are illiterate, that's 60 million people who think that they are headed for a good life by traveling illegally.
@@natasharules770 Dang, thats crazy. As a South African i understand where you are coming from, some of my people cant seem to see the forrest for the trees and get mad when others do. I have always wanted to know more about Nigeria because there is a lot of smoke surrounding it regarding reputation but it would be highly hypocritical of me to adopt that view, considering the smokey reputation my own country has. I just want to say F#ck it! And just go visit Nigeria and see for myself. Just like how many Nigerians who visit SA will see that its only a few miseducated and uneducated part of the population who view African compadres in a certain way feeding into false narratives.
Question; If you're of African ancestry and living in the West, and if you had the money to start over elsewhere, would you leave the West and move to Africa? I'm asking this because i know someone who would if that were the case, curious to know if this is a widespread desire.
Yes I would definitely leave the West and move to Africa. I live in Canada and it is one of my dreams to at least visit. I hope one day I can actually have a house/land there of my own.
Thanks for the info!

I think you make your case very clear and I respect that, if you don't take the time to do your own research of any country of your choice then you are not ready.

Namibia is about to start giving citizenship to the African diaspora and it's a English speaking country and you can buy from Amazon and ebay if that's something you want to still have access to... 😁👍🏽

Friendly reminder, there a lot of black people outside of Africa, not only African Americans...
...But there are 40 Million Africans living in America who represent an economic might that, if properly focused on the continent, can improve the lives of Africans everywhere, which should be the goal. This is implicit in his commentary directed at people who, like him, know they need to escape to Africa, as well...

True. You can make millions from your products without exporting a dime. Even trading in just 1 out of the 36 states alone can provide comfortable living. A friend of my kid sister who graduated university last year went into trading of agricultural crops. He buys onions, groundnut, sesame seeds, tomatoes and pepper, etc by truckloads from farmers in the North and sells wholesale in the South and West. Also crops from Western Nigeria, he sells. The boy is making millions off trade alone and these are not his farms. He looked for investors to raise fund and started very...very small. With less than 500,000 naira i think. Then, he gave 30% interest per 100,000 naira every 3 months for invested amounts. From last year, his operation is now so huge that kings in different villages offer him free land to cultivate in liason with their farmers. In just 1 year. He is making a killing especially in these covid times. This is a boy from Akure, Ondo state (Not the most woke city). That is Nigeria for you. Good info you named some countries I never thought about
I’m trying to choose from Nigeria or Ghana. I was all for Ghana at first but it seems like it’s getting oversaturated ? Lots of competition? Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t want to be in a stressful competitive place where everyone is pretty much trying to do the same things. I have that problem now in America. I’m thinking Nigeria might have more opportunity but I would like to get more information on Nigeria if anyone has any suggestions
