My UPDATED EURO 2024 Predictions are here as we move into the thrilling Knockout Rounds of this summer's tournament in Germany. It is interesting what you typed on 3:20. Excellent you predicted Croatia getting eliminated in groups and ofcourse congrats. As always you could not do that without bragging. Also, what you did not predict is that Croatia finishes last and you said Croatia will be defeated by Italy 3:1 what is kind of getting destroyed. I'm not writting this because I want to find your mistakes, everyone is not perfect. I'm writting this because of 3:12. Your arrogance and boasting is what bothers me. To add something to match between Croatia and Italy. It would have finsihed 1:0 for Croatia, what is totally opposite of what you predicted, if that idiot of a referee wasn't a referee on that match.

If Romania manages to beat the Netherlands, I truly hope they can reach the final. I’m confident that neither England nor Italy will make it to the semifinals. I believe Switzerland has the strength to defeat both of them. England is a joke right now, and in the semifinals, anything can happen. We’ve beaten the Swiss before, and even though it might be tough against Austria or Turkey, it’s still better than facing Germany, Portugal, or Spain.We may not have individual stars like the Netherlands, but our team spirit is much stronger than theirs. If we manage to avoid conceding early goals, as we did against Belgium, we have a chance to win. Looking at the statistics, it might seem like Belgium dominated and should have won 5-0, but the truth is they had more chances. Romania, on the other hand, missed some extraordinary opportunities. If we don’t repeat those mistakes against the Netherlands, we have a shot at qualifying

I dont think thats gonna happen mate, but it would be cool haha. just enjoy romania while it lasts and dont think they'll get too far cause you'll be disapointed when they get kicked out first match. every team is shit at this euros. spain won against albania with only a 1-0, germany would have lost against switserland if it werent for that last minute goal, portugal lost against georgia, france tied against poland and shouldve lost against netherlands if it wasnt for the disallowed goal. belgium lost against slovakia, netherlands lost to austria, england tied denmark and slovenia, and italy tied croatia who tied to albania and lost against spain... I dont think any team or country can think they can reach the final with how poorly everyone has been performing

No way Netherlands is losing. Netherlands will most likely win 3:0. If I'm honest with you I don't see Romania winning. We're talking about a side with Van Dijk, Gakpo, Simons, Ake, Frimpong and many others. That team is stacked with cup winners.

England with it's shit together is logically the best team in this tournament, and the end of Serbia vs England with Palmer, Gordon and Mainoo looked the best England has looked. If Southgate has recognised that and is willing to take the risk, it's not far fetched. Unlikely though, of course.
Spain vs Austria finals. The best performing team vs the dark horses
That would be fun to watch. I bet 90% of European would cheer for the Austrians to win the thing then, at least I'd do so. But I don't see them beating the Netherlands in the 1/4s again, I'm afraid. Some rumors even stated that Netherlands on purpose lost to end up in 3rd spot and thus get on the "easier" side of the tree. But to be fair, Romania isn't playing much different than Austria. They also play very aggressively and maybe even Romania ends up in the 1/4 finals and we then have two similar playing teams, Austria vs. Romania, playing against each other. Would be fun to watch. But then again, Austria needs to beat Turkey first. To me, that is the most interesting quarter of a tree and I'm really looking forward to these matches.
Interesting. Another speculation is that Portugal let Georgia win as they didn't need the points. The system is flawed, and the best games were the ones where a team had to win or exit. The knockout stage will bring out the best in the players and we will see better and more exciting games! 🎉
I still don't see Germany winning against Spain in a possible 1/4 final. Switzerland clearly showcased how Germany can be easily beaten and Spain is just a to strong technical team and has way to much experience. Germany was also only convincing in their first match against Scotland. They weren't really that dominant against Hungary IMO.
England is also a squad of really good players but not a team like Austria or Romania and thus I don't see them winning the Euros at all. They only luck is, that almost all "strong" teams are on the left side of the tree which thus should make a final spot not impossible. But not sure how England might end up against the Netherlands or Austria, in the way they currently play. England has to pump up their game by at least 2 levels IMO.
France vs. Belgium is IMO, given the group stage performances, a clear win for France. Belgium was just disappointing to watch, sadly. Even their first place in the qualifiers was more than lucky. In Austria they won 2-3 with a first half of Austria basically refusing to play football for some odd reason and ending up 0:3 behind but in the 2nd half with what I read up 9 of their core players missing that game (!) they still had plenty of chances to score the equalizer in the end. That just shows that Belgium is currently struggling and their best times (the golden age) is probably over. As such, France with its abilities should win this match on paper.

@@dennis554 From a market-value stance they are. But they were so against Austria as well and lost. I still believe that they can play much better than they did against Austria and maybe that game was a bit of a wakeup call. I still like the Romanian style they showed in at least two games.
As mentioned in other comments, IMO this part of the tree with Austria, Turkey, Netherlands and Romania is the most interesting one where I honestly can see all of them progressing to the semis. On paper Netherlands should go through but seeing how Romania and especially Austria performed so far, I can see them go through as well. Turkey is now a bit of a dark horse here as they can also play better than they did in their group games. I still think Austria has a bit of a lead in terms who's more likely to win. However, I think that probably 70+% of the audience will be people with Turkish heritage and thus supporting Turkey. A friend of mine just was upset that Austria only got like 4k tickets for their 1/8 game. Whether that's true or not I'm not sure.
If this is true, no way frickin England could win the euros, they would prob lose at Austria. Drawing against Denmark and Slovenia for a country that it's starting 11 is doing amazing for clubs is insane. Southgate needs to actually fuck off for England to pull it off and make it come home.

I'm French. I honestly thought that we would perform better in group phase - we've always topped our groups under Deschamps but this is the first time we haven't done that... Now what I know about the team is that they sometimes perform poorly during group stage but they make it far in the knockouts rounds (like WC2018 and WC2022, you could also count Euro 2016 if you'd like) excluding Euro 2021 since we got knocked out by Switzerland
I'm not underestimating Belgium at all, I know they want their revenge from the semi finals of 2018 World Cup and they've honestly performed better than us in this group phase, but like... In the last games we played them, we always beat them in a major tournament (at least in 2018 and the Nations League in 2021)
No one knows what will go down on Monday but I do hope we at least make it through to the Quarter Finals and get knocked out by Portugal, it'd at least give the players some energy to get back into the game after beating Belgium and not be completely disappointed with how far they got. Of course I'd wish for us to go to the finals but I don't think we'll make it since this is something that apparently only happens for us in the World Cup for some reason

I still think France is way better than they showed so far in the tournament. Don't forget, they had, at least IMO, the toughest group to go through. The only critique I have is that they don't convert their chances into goals. They had like 3-4 100%s against Austria and only won by a lucky own-goal. Against the Netherlands they were a bit to passive but still dominated most of the game. The Netherlands is just a team with also some qualities and so the match could have gone both ways. Here again, a lack of effectiveness in front of the goal was France biggest problem but also because their top-star was missing due to his broken nose. I unfortunately didn't see the match against Poland but it seemed they got more and more passive throughout the group stage and the alarming thing is that they only "scored" two goals so far - one own goal and one by penalty. For a team of that market value (1.3 bn € !!!) this is just disappointing. If they finally start shooting goals they might become the threat they are at least on paper.
Oh, and Belgium by far didn't perform better in the group stages. I'd even say together with England they were so far my biggest disappointment so far. France was okay at least in terms of how they play but as mentioned just lacked the scoring abilities so far against teams that I consider way harder to play compared to the opponents Belgium had.

Like you said, France have only scored goals that were an OG and a penalty, but outside of that if you don't count these they scored literally none and managed to qualify just based on that. Belgium on the other hand scored two by themselves, that's the reason I said they performed better.
But I do acknowledge they conceded goals unlike us, we only conceded a penalty which if you don't count a penalty goal like the one that was scored for France team, then we didn't concede any goals in the group phase
Offensively France created more chances but it's really upsetting they didn't get to score any on the chances created, however I feel like it's because of their mental state and that they're not at their 100% in the competition yet.
We'll have to see on Monday to see how it plays out against Belgium but I still believe France could at least see the quarter finals just based on how they're better than Belgium defensively and offensively at least from what I've seen

I feel like Austria is the most overrated team of the euros so far. Dont get me wrong they are playing really good but kinda lucky. France is looking really bad right now and they still lost to them ( yeah an owngoal but for me drawing with that weak and underperforming french side isnt really a big achivement).
They won against Poland but ref of this game was really weird. Polish players got fouled in their penalty area yet ref didnt do anything but when Austrian player was pretending to be fouled by Szczęsny( Polish GK) he gave pen to them even tho it was visible in the replay that he didnt even touch him.
Then a win against Netherlands, pretty impresive but dutch defenders made a couple of big mistakes which caused them to lose when that game should've been a draw.
