Nice useful video series. I have a question here, what about bleeding of saree colors, most of the silk sarees have contrast pallu or border. What precautions do we have to take?
Mam, what about cotton and linen sarees? Can it be washed after every wearing, or is it the same as the silk saree as well? Can they be dry washed as well?
Very often, dark borders bleed colour into the main body of the saree if washed at home. The discolouration never comes off. Thats why i give it for dry cleaning after several uses . But yes, i do find that the silk becomes a bit fragile and prone to splitting
@@aparnapatil7193 actually, you cannot get it off. My mother had once got her silk saree dyed to a single dark colour...including border. Then she got some work done on the body of the saree. The border anyways had zari on it.
I was in a distressed mode since I washed my 1st anniversary saree at home to avoid dry cleaning...as on my 2nd wear at a party... It got some splashes of vomit. So I dipped it with easy in cold water.. and then washed it with fresh water for 3 to 4 times. And then hanged that horizontally. It was a blue tonned pure katan.. so colours came off ..but I feel no better choice I had
I think washing machine is not a good idea Soap buds,Salt Lemon Juice in water etc is better and Dont soak for long time Dont Squeeze let it hang in the bathroom and then dry it
This is the only video I found on UA-cam explaining such a gentle language without any extra buildup
