It takes grace to seek out those gold nuggets of wisdom in the critical words of our opponents; much less our friends.

What the psalmist meant with the "voice" was urgency.
Words do not carry urgencies, but the voice is.
The same with the difference between text (word) messages with voice messages.
The incense smell is an intensified smell, concentrated.
Hence lifting, concentrating, and being fervent are the meanings symbolized in incense, pray.
Thank you for the enduring word.

Lord set a guard over my mouth
    Keep watch over my lips
Let not my heart be drawn to evil...
    In Jesus name

Can you hear the sound of the drums
You think it will never happen
    It's never this dramatic
    Your day is your day
    Nothing to fear
    God will snatch your soul
    And make you whole
    Bring you whole
    Cry not because you died
    Celebrate your wins
And God will forgive your sins

Daniel prayed the same prayer when he purposed in his heart to not eat from the Babylonian table. Not to partake of their delicacies. Their meats that were sometimes offered to idols before eaten. Meat that may have included pork! This was very much a literal prayer! When his nemesis Jonathan father wanted to kill him David didn't want to be trapped by his fake overtures of fondness! Pastor please I'm asking you got a Bible. Mine is so old and marked all over from studies. I haven't worked in a while and the Bible's are very expensive. I hope you see this. Thank you.

The b best way for you to receive a new Bible would be to visit your local church and talk with them. I'm sure that they would love to help you. That would be much more practical. Blessings!

"David then said to Abishai and all his officials, “My son, my own flesh and blood, is trying to kill me. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone; let him curse, for the LORD has told him to."
    2 Samuel 16:11
David's response when he was cursed by Shimei

31:03 I seem to be confused about this statement. Although we're reading different translations, I believe that this part is the wicked speaking here, not David/his companions, and they seem to say this phrase out of regret for their actions. That's the way I interpreted it. God bless

Sir, I just figure out what David meant in verses 5,6 and 7, and I'd love to share it, if you don't mind.
By translating from its original Hebrew language:
    5
to smite, hammer, strike down - just, righteous - goodness, kindness - to decide, adjudge, prove 'rebuke'
    - fat, oil - head - not - to hinder, restrain, frustrate - head
    - that, for, when - a going around, continuance, still, yet, again, beside - prayer - bad evil
    6
to let drop - hand - a crag, cliff - to judge, govern
    - to hear - speech, word
    - that, for, when - to be pleasant, delightful, or lovely
    7
like, as, when - to cleave - to cleave, break open or through - earth, land
    - to scatter - bone, substance, self - mouth - underworld
From those words I summarized (to make it short):
    Verse 5 is about,
An argument we don't like often offers corrections, to those who seek the truth knows the need to take the risk, sacrificing hurt feelings for the opportunity of correction, truth.
Realize that is a from of lovingkindness, if its not from them who criticised or ridiculed, yet it is for certain comes from God.
Verse 6 is about a sweet correction, truth, that "right word at the right moment".
Verse 7 is about, how a correction, truth comes from others in criticism or even ridicule can brings out the bad things, rotten things in us so that we can get it out from us, to get rid off it.
