Hi Olly love the vids, keep it up, dry winter in South Africa, Johannesburg...no rain was a beautiful sunny day. Summer is coming. Those twin Fendt's were an absolute picture.
Wow what a great blog today!! Love the boiler fault finding and repairs, the twins with their loaded trailers looked fantastic and the work on clearing the yard is really interesting. It’s going to be great seeing it being used with modern equipment. 😊
Keep your tree guards on always something else that will strip your bark. Main thing that restricts growth is if your tree tie is too tight. Gradually release as it grows. Also they need watering regularly for 2 years especially if there are any dry spells. Bit of mulch around the base will help hold moisture in the ground. I’m a Landscaper from Somerset, planted a lot of trees in my time hope this helps.
Hi Olly We put plenty of grease around our pick up hook, it stops wear and tear and it will dampen the noise of it moving. I've had the same weather as you 😅
Great progress on Wellbrook yard - will be worth all the work clearing up for access etc, the turf letters look fabulous. Can see next year's calendar will be mostly the Fendt tractors as todays shot needs to be July 2025 photo. 8.30am here in South Australia - really strange day weatherwise as 20C - 7C above normal, windy afternoon and rain at 10pm
Nice to see Oscar but a block of wood under the mower before he crawled under it, good on him. As to rain.... I guess I have pretty much everyone beat on that - we had a typhoon yesterday.
Hi olly 28c in saskatchewan canada cooler than 34 /35 c we had last week but bad smoke from forest fires 1800km to the west. south saskatchewan where our son olly works is meant to be 38/ 40c late afternoon no harvest here yet .85%
Keep the trees in their guards. First bit of snow and your Brown Hares or rabbits will chew the bark off. Best thing is to spray a metre square with round up to keep it weed free will make your trees grow better.😊
Great video as usual Olly though it did give me a Big Brother is watching you moment when you said "You are probably watching this at 8pm" Well I'm watching this at 19:55 and that is frightening close. 🤔🤣.
the last few days the weather forecast has been saying dry up to Thursday here in Devon ......it's rained this afternoon and evening (Wednesday). that would be an ideal site for a new shed.......level.......you got the floor done.......have a new shed....... much better than faffin around with hay caps
Been following you from day dot and it’s great to see where hard work and doubt gets you! People talk about positivity gets it done but doubt and courage reaped a lot more..to all watching it’s never too late to be what you might have been!!! fair play Olly 👍
Warm sunny day on the Suffolk coast until early evening when a few light showers came over. Supposed to be a few showers tomorrow. Spoke to a friend who does contact harvest work. He spent the last few weeks on the barley and OSR, next week due to start on the wheat, but he doesn’t think it will be ready. Apparently the OSR has been really good on the farm he was working at, best they’ve had for years.
Might upsize the treeguards as the trees grow larger to fine wire mesh anchored by wooden stakes. Need to regularly check on the young tree stems. Could look at double-strapping the bales on the trailer.
In Denmark it also keeps raining. The harvest is off to a terrible start. We've had around 125 mm rain in July. Great weather last week from Thursday to sunday. Downpour Monday, rain Tuesday and What looks like two dry days before rain friday and through the weekend. And the 14 day forecast looks the same
Local machinery dealer here in Ireland had a video of these hitch damper rings. Rain has stopped harvest on the East Coast in Ireland. Some heavy spells and the light misty stuff.
2:42 they looked awesome coming down the road 😎 I’ve ordered my limited edition hoodie, looking forward to seeing what number I get 🤔 Might be quite high as I only ordered this morning. I don’t normally wear black, but I think they look very striking with the red letters and hood. Oscar - “you’ve not got that camera out have ya” 😂 9:04 “Do a wheelie” 😂 The newley cleared yard looks very smart. It’s been overcast here in East Devon until late afternoon, when the rain came in, only a small amount thankfully. Enjoyed the video thanks Olly 😉
Muggy and damp weather in Jersey, tomorrow 22mm of rain due then after better weather lol seems so similar to last year? Two Fendts just look great, like two bulldogs!😊
Moving that eye the way u were thinking will bring down the front and lift the rear axle nearer of the ground it's on a nice level floor there to stand back and see how it sits on the tractor and off if ye take of the low loader .very nice looking trailer well made to be fair
Hi Olly great video it's been hot and dry here in south shields..still no one combining around here past 3 fields this morning that's been deverstated by pigeons...😎😎😎😎40%
we have had sunny weather up at Ravenglass we had a day out to the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway started raining on the way home to Stockport but a good day so feeling up to 85% today
The 4 cylinder 6000 series John Deere tractors are probably the best loader tractors available as they are so well balanced even with no rear weight block and capable of 20 thousand hours if looked after
Weather mostly dry but overcast. 115% with really good dialysis, good monthly blood analysis, and coffee and chocolate cake for supper. 8 yellow cars including a Ferrari spyder.
Leave the tree guards especially if you have muntjac deer around. They'll strip all the bark and are worse than rabbits! Guards should be made so they'll split off if the trees get too girthy as they are made like toilet/kitchen roll inners.
Weather sickening in Ireland Chemtrails every morning from 4.30am on, all transatlantic flights heading to Heathrow, grass growth back 40% on last year, farmers in dire straits here
aiso a mate made a rubber doughnut to jam in above his eye for his tri axle , was compressed when hitch latched . took out the chatter . surley someone must make one ??? his home fabbed
I did the same as Oscar today managed to find a broken phone line with the spearhead. Didn't realise until i saw the end come off the post resulting in lots of swearing as winding 50 ft off the rotor 😤😁😁
You need to spray off grass growth away from new trees and mulch, I'd get some weld mesh made into tubes around each tree they still need protected from wildlife and crazy peolpe on mowers!!👍👍
The twins look great in that picture
The Fendts looked good , John is doing a grand job on the yard.

Keep the guards on it will keep thee bottons clear and encourage straight clean growth. Plus if you take them off something will chew the bark.
Glasgow, overcast with rain showers. Heavy rain after dinner. About 18 degrees. Love the new tractors.
Hi Olly
We put plenty of grease around our pick up hook, it stops wear and tear and it will dampen the noise of it moving.
