Four Wheel Campers Project M. “ My Ultimate Interior Build”
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- I designed and build the interior of my Four Wheel Campers Project M. I used 80/20 extruded aluminum specifically the 10 series, I found it to be strong enough and lightweight for this camper build. I so proud of this labor of love project. Hope you enjoy the video.
Norkis, this is the most bad ass truck build I have seen. Big tip of the hat! Love what you did!
Thanks Thomas for the compliment. Appreciate it.
This was sick. Can’t believe it’s a short bed.
Thanks, yes it’s a short bed, gotta maximize your space and it’s functionality.
Wow, I love your build out. Keep up the great work.
Thanks, will do!
best build i've seen so far
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it much.
Without a doubt, the best Project M build I've seen! Every detail was very well thought-out before the execution. Congrats!!!
Thanks I really appreciate it.
You are a genius! Amazing build! You should sell this entire build to Four Wheel for guys that cant do this. It is perfect!
Thanks, your comment was a great compliment. I really appreciate it… your suggestion is a good idea.
I kept my build a bit simpler - but I just want to say this is impressive! 👍👍👍
Thanks Andrew, I appreciate it.
Dude this is the sickest Tacoma build ever. I want to do exactly this!!! Nice job man. Props and all the custom work. I’ve been looking for a good option for my Tacoma forever!!
Thanks I’m glad you liked it, good luck to your future Tacoma build and have fun building it.
I think this is the best build I have seen to date what a good use of space.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Nice build.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate that you liked it.
You have thought of everything. Great job, great video!
Thanks, I appreciate it. I tried to anticipate everything in my design to be an efficient camper at least.
Thank you Norkis for sharing your build with us. Please post more videos maybe of you going camping. Also may expand on the details of the video with the make and model of the products you installed on the truck.
Thanks for watching, I’m editing the video on how I build the interior. Will be posting soon.

very nice job, sir
Thank you Sir, I appreciate it.
Best taco build ever!!
Thanks Steven
Nice work! I just discovered these campers, looks like a great way to go for my Tacoma.
Yes it is, I have searched all campers and by far Four Wheel campers is the most spacious among them all. Thanks for appreciating my work.
Awesome!
Thanks
Great thought put in to this build! Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, glad you liked it.
OUTSTANDING BUILD! You thought of and engineered everything. I have a Tacoma 5 foot bed with AT Habitat. I completed some improvements not as elaborate as yours but it’s coming along. I’ll include some your ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your positive feedback. Sure you can use some of my ideas on your build. Good luck.
wow that is great work. I just priced a Hawk built out. They are super expensive. This is a great option, but of course it takes skill and time. But if it turns out like yours, it is well worth it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I’m glad you like my build.
Truly amazing build, you can tell a lot of thought and love went into this. 👍
Thanks a ton! Yes a lot of labor of love put into this, designing efficiently and a lot of problem solving on how to mount it without drilling into the camper, yet it’s strong and sturdy.
Very, very impressive! Excellent build and some great ideas for viewers. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, Glad you liked it.
Nice work.
Thanks
Great build and very inspiring as we look to buy our first pop up truck bed camper!!!
Thanks for watching and good luck to your in coming truck camper, enjoy building and hope you get some ideas on my build.
That’s a very ideal setup for off-road camping. Thanks for sharing your awesome rig. ❤love it.
You’re welcome, I’m glad you liked it.
Your camper is really cool!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.
Nice build
Thanks
Great build.

Woah, this is impressive! I just ordered one for my Tacoma, giving me lots of good ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it, have fun on your future build.
Nicely built.
Thanks
Thanks for sharing great video
Thanks for watching
Wow, really cool ideas!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.
nice set up. thank you for the inspiration
Thanks and I’m glad you got inspired building something.
Great build, dad!
Thanks Dean
Nice build bro. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks and you’re welcome
Very good job.
Thanks
Love the build very efficient!
Thanks, I appreciate it much.
This is so cool! I have a wedge camper that we do weekend trips with. Where are you mostly camping?
Thanks for liking my build, I’m mostly camping in Southern California in 395 highway, and anywhere that’s a beautiful Overland destination like Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado.
Nice upgrade po.
Thank you 🤗
Very well thought out and very nicely crafted! Hope you might list or link major items in your build like the Maxtrack rack, cook top, inverter, battery, etc. Maybe also put in description or a follow-up video what you would do differently or things that aren't working as well as you thought. In my build I still haven't figured out how to get enough accessible storage. Wish I had a little microwave. What is the one you used?
Thanks for your positive feedback… I will be posting the process of my build, the components I used, etc.

Nice work. Salamat for the video.
Thanks John
Ayos kaayo tol anytime any season pwede mag over land camping
Thanks Tol, yup it’s a 4 season camper it is.
Are you having any issues with dust intrusion? If so, what have you done to mitigate it? That's a sweet build!
I placed rubber bulb seal all around….Thanks for watching and liking it.
Question I’m assuming you built the seating off those 13in rails off the side. Those are at the top of bed side. My question is the seating tall? By my math that puts seat above 20in before cushions.
Thanks for watching, the seat is just at the level of that 13 inch bench wing from FWC, plus the floor has a subfloor insulation and the floor proper which raises the floor and makes the seat’s height to be just perfect. Here’s the link of my build. Check it out

Nice build. You gave me a lot of ideas for my future build. Maybe i missed but why is the faucet at a higher level than the countertop? Loverly camper , someday
Because of the drain of the faucet, remember there’s a refrigerator underneath it, it’s tight but I managed to put everything that’s needed in case of bad weather that you need to hunker down inside your camper and plus if I raise the countertop to the level of the sink, then I won’t be able to pull out the bed and turn it into a king size. Thanks for your comment, I like that you’re observant about the build. Good luck on your build, I’m glad you get some ideas from my build.
Looks like you thought of everything. I think I missed what the externally mounted propane tank is used for. And do you run a hose from it to the interior?
My propane tank is used when I cook outside and also for my propane fire pit. I use induction cooktop inside the camper. Thanks for watching and liking my design.
Yo I have been building busses for years and recently thinking about building one of these. Started looking into builds and found this! You absolutely crushed this! Making me realize the possibilities with these. Do you have any build videos on how you worked with 80/20? Also interested in how you did your subfloor.
Thanks I’m glad you like my build, I appreciate it. Here’s the link for my build process

Wow - this is an amazing build. There was a lot of wind noise when you were talking about the aerodynamics. It looked like a wind deflector and a storage box (?) - who manufactures them?
Yes, the roof rack and the storage case acts as a wind deflector and it makes a lot of difference as far as air drag is concerned and my mpg greatly improves. Thanks for your positive feedback about my interior build, yup I put a lot of work from designing efficiently to physically building it.
Very cool ! What is your overall weight ? Did you have to adjust your springs / shocks ?
I haven’t weigh ‘em yet but I put an Icon leaf pack stage 3(heavy duty setting) and a sumo spring. It handles really good. I build this lightweight since I use 80/20 ten series for the frame of this build.
Pare nice set up for your tacoma
@@jimsulio8636 -Thanks Pare
How did you work around the "lips" that came w/ the project-m? Did you cut those out?
Nope, I called FWC if can cut it out and they said it’s structural, so I designed all this, around the lips( over hang bench) which is one of the greatest challenge on building the interior. I just wish they will redesign the M without it.
What was the final weight fully loaded? Suspension upgrades?
I haven’t weigh them yet but the FWC Project M camper is only 358 lbs. I’ll keep you posted, I will really need to weigh this rig. Thanks for watching.
Very cool build! How did you mount your rotopax to your gear track?
Bought a lockable Rotopax mount, I place a back plate, bolted the Rotopax mount then bolted the back plate the Project M side rail mount
@@norkisserrano are you using t-nuts or something else to mount the back plate to the side rail? I never mounted anything to the side rails before.
@@tfsdjon1-Yes I used T-nuts
what dry toilet did you use?
ua-cam.com/video/GMa6yTos38s/v-deo.htmlsi=ZAVh9e3kVuaEbBWB
Pagka nindot bai. Ang kulang na kita na ko kay Walay bike rack og MTB😅
Hehe you’re right.
What is that roof rack and case that you're using?
Thanks for watching. I used a Redrock HD roof rack because it’s a low profile design, and I was still able to place my ladder on top of the roof rack, and I used a gun case( Meridia)with 47.2” length in Amazon
@@norkisserrano Thank you
What projector are you using?
I’m using the Wemax Advanced Go laser projector
Makes no sense why you got the project M when you could have got all of this with a Swift Shell model.
It’s lighter
The Swift is too wide, it’s sticking out on the side and it’s more heavier… not to mention the good feeling of designing your own and watching it become a reality.
Nice build.
