Finally, a Canadian couple sailing and doing our country proud. No Americans, no politics, just a young Canadian couple living life! Great job, I’ll sub and enjoy your adventure! Oh Canada, greatest country on the planet!
Brilliant Gigha "gods isle"i was brought up on mainland in Tayinloan where the ferry connects gigha to the mainland,I spent some of my childhood holidays there 😊 the queen spent time there on North end of the island near every year on 'The Royal Yacht' amazing I've been falling your your videos never expected you to be near my former home😊 you got pronounceation spot on for gigha keep up the good work 👏 enjoy Scotland 😊😊
what a great place to holiday. We never expected to be up over here either but it's been a beautiful place to visit, Can't wait to share more with you!
Sailing the Irish Sea is a Great Sailing School that keeps you on your toes, and is great fun in the Schoolroom. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 🏴
Nice job on the music you picked for this week. Thought it really went well with the sailing you showed. 👍 Hope you guys get to explore a castle before you leave the islands. Will continue to watch until you show Travis trying to do some River Dancing. 🤣
😂 we knew what you meant. Very true though, haven’t seen many cruisers that’s for sure. Can’t see why not though, endless beautiful anchorages and remote spots!
Happy to watch your videos, you guys explain a lot and it's really nice knowing how you make itnthese gorgeous places. Stay safe and hope your feeling better now. We're Canadian watching you from our home in Ajijic Mexico 🇲🇽
I totally get being sick and on the ocean. I just did the ASA 101, 103, and 104 while stuffed up and running a fever of 99 to 101. And with that the weather was all pre tropical storm. Always appreciate the transparency and story telling skill. Oh, my Scottish roots.
Im currently in Malahide north Dublin area and sailing home the same route next week, only Im heading into the Clyde for the winter. Thank you so much for getting to grip with the pronunciations not easy given the spellings a credit to you, unlike some other Canadian’s who spent time in Belfast “louwthe” (Lough - Loch). Good luck the further north you go it gets harder!!
I was the first and only person to circumnavigate ireland on a stand up paddle board. This episode has brought alot back to me. The NE Irish coast is not to be taken lightly. I had a very tough time there with both tides and swell. Strangford lough it sounds like where that kayaker was washed out ? Fair winds guys on your journey forward !!!
Exciting times for you. You just sailed past my home near Anglesey. Pity you didn't stop, the east coast is really nice. Anyway. Have fun heading south!
We have been all over the world, but the place I had the most culture shock was Ireland while living there, just because it was so similar to the west coast of Canada in sooo many ways and it kept tripping me up that I wasn't home. Southern Norway's scenery is also a weird cross between the west coast and interior BC and had me taking second and forgetting where I was almost constantly.
We did notice similarities in Ireland as well, moreso Dublin, being a big city, but many differences as well which is what we loved! That's interesting about Southern Norway, if we make it there, Travis will have to see if he get's the same vibe (being from BC)
Hi there. I've started going through your videos, and you commented on what a pita boat life is without a Washer dryer ? I don't know if you sorted something out yet, but Daewoo Mini is a washer dryer wall mounted but not cheap at around a thousand Pounds. For my Next Boat, which will have forced air heating (a hanging locker can easily become a drying Cabinet/airing cupboard ), There are other options s then with Washer Spin Dryers. Unfoftunately, fiiding something reliable at reasonable cost, that isn't a Domestic Appliance - avoid due to Bulkhead loosening Vibrations due to the heavy Weight dampening the Drum., which can rip bulkheads out of their hull bonding. RV Motorhome users must have proven Washer Dryers available, and I'll start looking there. Any other Boaters managed to find anything that is suitable for a boat ? Ryan and Sophie Sailing have a Daewoo Mini washer dryer, no update on it yet. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 👍
Be careful in the Irish Sea. The island of Ireland does protect you from westerlies in certain places but a strong Southwestery coming in off the Atlantic can get funneled up the straight between Scotland and Ireland making some nasty choppy seas and wind against current. It can suddenly bite you.
Hey guys since your in Scotland will you try there cuisine like Hagis? Always fun to watch your videos. Where will you take next week? Can't wait! Peace.
We didn’t eat out at any restaurants so we didn’t see it on the menu but just looked it up…it’s probably something we would have tried without knowing what it was first 😬 we’ve got picky pallets!
Did I miss it or did you not check into the UK? You went from Ireland (EU), anchored off Northern Ireland (UK) and went ashore in Scotland (UK). You two are becoming quite the intrepid offshore sailors. Really enjoying the videos, good stuff, thanks.
You have already been there so I won't bother making any suggestions. Did you go through the Caledonian Canal and if so, did you enjoy Oban and Inverness also, did you stop at Castle Urquhart?
Oban was great, we did make it to quite a few castles as well (not Urquhart though). There is definitely much to see in Scotland, can't wait to share more of where we went
Please be respectful to the Scottish people, member Countries of the UK. They just lost HRH, Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96. Much love and prayers, from somewhere near Seattle.
We attribute it to the temperature change and from being overtired from a rough 10 days at sea prior to the onset. Home testing was negative for covid so we think it was just the common cold, but all is well now!
Exciting adventures to be had in Scotland. Enjoying the soundtrack. Perfect pick for the Scottish isles.
Very! Can't wait to share more with you, stayed tuned for more Celtic tracks as well 😆
Finally, a Canadian couple sailing and doing our country proud. No Americans, no politics, just a young Canadian couple living life!

Thank you! And YES! We certainly do. Can’t wait to share it all😆
Great video. Your cinematography is really getting fantastic. Travis, you are sooooo Canadian!
Thanks, we appreciate that! Yeah he does a pretty good accent eh? 🤣🤣
Another groovy episode.
Thanks as always!
You guys are producing great videos.
thanks Rauf :)
Sailing the Irish Sea is a Great Sailing School that keeps you on your toes, and is great fun in the Schoolroom. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 🏴
Travis should do all future blogs in his “Canadian“ accent. Your channel would probably blow-up! The Letterkenny of sailing. 🇨🇦
😂 that’s a great idea
@@SailingJibsea This is Jibsea, and these are some of their problems. 😜
What? No swimming? Ha. Enjoying this series and you two, as always.
Jumping in to free ourselves from the trap was enough for a little while, lol. Thank you!
This is the Ep I was looking for. This is where I am from Belfast.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Love watching fellow Canadians on you tube. And love that you are exploring Europe. Very interesting. That's alot of water to cross
It sure was a lot of water, so we’ve got to make sure we see as much as we can!😆. Thanks for watching!! 🇨🇦
Thank you for the video. I hope you're all well now. I'm glad you had some good sailing. Stay well and happy.
Thanks, you too!
You need to come to Cape Breton Island Boy. Same coastline as Scotland
That's awesome hopefully you both feel better 😊 💫🌟✨️🌞I sure have been enjoying your videos from U.S.A stay safe
Nice job on the music you picked for this week. Thought it really went well with the sailing you showed. 👍 Hope you guys get to explore a castle before you leave the islands. Will continue to watch until you show Travis trying to do some River Dancing. 🤣
We've been really into listening to Celtic music! Stay tuned, there's much more of it to come - we'll try to convince him to River Dance 😆
Cuties for deciding to cruise Ireland and Scotland. Very few cruisers do this so it’s a nice change. Enjoy.
Cudos dammit
😂 we knew what you meant. Very true though, haven’t seen many cruisers that’s for sure. Can’t see why not though, endless beautiful anchorages and remote spots!
Wow. So amazing where you are. Hope you are both feeling better.
Yes we are, thanks Joan!

Great job making it to Scotland!!
Thanks! 😃 More to come!

Certainly not a fun time! Sounds horrible.
Stay tuned for more of Scotland, it’s been absolutely beautiful here!

Nice job guys. Can't wait to see more of Scotland. On my bucket list as I am 1/2 Scottish.
we've some some absolutely breathtaking places here, stay tuned, very excited to share!
Looked like a barrel jellyfish , I dive up at portencross in Scotland and you see them there all the time
Thanks for letting us know!
A "little late" but my guess was a Portugese Man-O-War but then I'm no jellyfish expert!

Oh wow that’s impressive. Couldn’t imagine being in some of those areas with all that current. Good for you!
Awesome video
Thanks 😀
I never though of Hunters as fast boa, you guys hit some speed. Also I thought this is summer. Looks cold
Exciting times for you. You just sailed past my home near Anglesey. Pity you didn't stop, the east coast is really nice. Anyway. Have fun heading south!

I hope you visited Wales by far the most different and in my opininion the beautiful country in the whole of the British Isles.
Winters coming.
Nice one... That Canadian thing.. you guys could do an entire episode doing nothing but saying out and about in my sailboat... 😉🙂
😂😂

We mentioned the check in process into the UK was completed online when we entered NI. Super easy. Happy to hear you’re enjoying our videos😊
Hope you played a round at St Andrew’s.
You have already been there so I won't bother making any suggestions. Did you go through the Caledonian Canal and if so, did you enjoy Oban and Inverness also, did you stop at Castle Urquhart?

Lol … you mean living life 😬😬😬😂😂😂😂
