@@sr0917 For starters my grandfather was from Oslo and immigrated to the USA in his youth, so seeing the streets gives me an odd sense of Home.. although I haven't had the opportunity to make it over and see firsthand yet, it's on The List. More lately I've been wondering if I should just move rather then visit. Then the first thing I notice, and continue to be blown away by, is that this is all in a single take! This gives kind of a Tarantino vibe; and the camera movement makes it feel more engaging, like you're there with them, trying to keep pace to see the full moment.
To the dancers; they just ooOOooze confidence and joy in their work. This always brings me cheer as both are aspects of life I struggle with! (I come back now and then -pardon the late reply S. R., it's taken me at least a year since seeing your note to slap the fuck-it-syndrome out of myself and actually engage the world again.) Dancing is something I've always felt to be a part of myself, but in the States it only garners a hairy eyeball and a question to my sexuality if I ever bring it up, which I find absurdly immature so I rather keep it to myself. It's nuts how disconnected people are here, and I certainly have my own maturity issues as well.
I spent a few months (a few years ago) training in Japanese Jujitsu and Iaido and all I could think the whole time was how badly it made me want to do more with my body; street dancing and professional ballroom dancing as well. I miss martial arts but money makes the world go 'round, and it's rather difficult to go to a dojo when you're broke as hell. My own fault; years of self neglect adds up. Enough morose nonsense though! I doubt I'll ever get through it as long as acknowledging is all I do.
The clothes bring a sense of swagger, and in particular the leather jackets grant a timeless bit of badass "Yeah, I got the stones. Sup?" On that note too the faceoff and momentary full stop midway is just.. too much cool!! And the embroidery, as well as the studs, got me looking at my old leather jacket I've had for over 20 years and worn maybe... twice? in that time- got me lookin' at it with new eyes. I'm totally gonna rip some style and adapt it to myself! Track jackets (or wind breakers?) as well - I mean no offense when I say the blue in particular looks like something out of a bargain bin, but the way he rocks it makes it seem so much more, like it's worth twice the value of any designer cloth of similar make.
To the movements in particular, it's like a constant back and fourth between the dancers involved, but all the while they remain respectful of each other and nobody (or everybody?? XD) is trying to hog the limelight. It very much has a 'fight' vibe for me, though the fight is not directed between them but outwardly (or rather, inwardly?) to an enemy which we will never be able to catch on a camera. This idea is broken by the arm pull, as their trust in each other is shown with the lean as well as how it seems to open the gate for those behind them, but comes back later in the nonchalant look of challenge from Goggle-dude.
Layers and layers of inspiration.. Mostly in my head I suppose, but hey! You asked. Finally, I appreciate the cigarette. American media bit the dust when smoking on screen became a taboo... Also, my man's goggles trip me out, but not nearly as much as how perfectly he opens AND closes the video-- every single time I see it I have to scratch my head and wonder if they're not still there on the same street dancing their hearts out.

I am drawn to Uncle Rob because he looks like he could be one of my long lost relatives. But after reading your post I have a new respect for leather studded guy.
He looks tough even while dancing! The leather helps but he has the face and build too.
