- Country singer Hoyt Axton performs his mother's most famous co-composition, "Heartbreak Hotel".
Taken from Hoyt's 1990 LP "Spin The Wheel".
Watch out for mama Mae's cameo at the end.

The only version, other than Elvis', that I actually enjoy. He did his own thing but did it justice -- just as gritty and hard-hitting as the original, yet in a completely different style. I've been looking for this for a while; thank you for posting.
a gifted singer/songwriter
Mama Mae axton wrote this iconic tune. Hearing him singing it warms muy heart
Excelent Version...!!!
I want to hit the like button. But . . . I don't what he did. Gives a whole new meaning to "look what they done to my song, Ma!"
Hoyt’s mother Mae Axton wrote the song. He can do what he wants!
This is a happy version, not lonely, but it's ok.
i hate to say this..i love elvis but I like hoyt axtons version better...first time hearing it from mr a xton
