Sukuna vs Mahoraga is by far the best fight this season but the runner up on this list is also very well deserved imo. It's the antithesis of what I initially expected but I enjoyed watching and rewatching that "Kill yourself" moment just as much.

The 30% compete claim was false btw. The guy who made the tweet deleted it and clarified they only got to make 30% of their overall vision I think, but the episode itself isn’t necessarily incomplete. Slightly different wording but I think it’s an important distinction. Crazy how many people pass around the 30% complete statement now though.

Still, 30% of the vision means it could be missing a lot of incredible shots and polished artwork, it would have been beyond unbelievable

It’s a shame Tokyo revengers has such mediocre animation. The gang fights are the highlight of the series and it’s practically a slide show

Sukuna vs Mahoraga is just godly. The destruction that follows the wake of their fight is crazy. I kept rewatching that scene 10x after it aired because i was obsessed with the animation and soundtrack.

Victhor vs Union and Crimson versus Ultimatia were the highlight of their repsective animes. But I understand not wanting to include them since they are amongst the top and would really spoil it for anyone getting into these anime

It's not in Season 1 or Season 2. It's a part of a three episode ONA special called Visions of Coleus which takes place between Season 1 and Season 2. It started airing on November 1, 2023. There was a pv for it on UA-cam.

@@1107Kobeit’s not though? The only decent fight in part 2 was Kenpachi. Look at the episode where ichigo came back down. Literally still frame animations in what should have been a hype episode with the main character finally back in action. Even the kenpachi fight was just decent. Nothing compared to any of the major fights in JJK this year

Why is everyone blown away by Sukuna vs Mahoraga? Were we watching the same thing? When I heard that it was 30 percent done I was like: “That explains a lot” because you cannot see or follow half of What is going on in it with those Crazy close ups and similar
And this is not Hate on animators, it would have looked amazing if it was done but this version is not and everybody is saying it is phenomenal which I don’t get why When In my opinion it blatantly not💁🏻♂️
yes I completely agree, it was obviously beautiful fight, just hard to follow. if this fight was done 100 percent, it wld have been in the same level as the last fight in Entertainment district arch. but damn, that music.

The answer is in your question, it's the fact that the episode is not even done 100% and it still managed to wow people,
As you said the episode had no flow it was all the well animated/completed scene thrown in their but that was probably the best the staff could do with the schedule
But the domain expansion scene THAT was something else it was so good I can ignore every other flaw of the episode

The #2 fight should've been Fern & Stark vs Lugner & Linier. Sure, the wow factor from Frieren's overwhelming power is something, but the animation, dialogue, and bgm in Fern's fight is god-tier
None of the fight in this list are beautiful,nor include beautiful character it's so sad 😢
Frieren is the most overhyped bs I have seen the internet spew ever. It is by all standards bad writing. It was nothing but a deus ex machina thrown in for plot convience with earlier mentions not even in the story. IF there was even 1 mention in earlier episodes about the rule of power, and hiding power or something, I would have shut up, but this plot device was literaly created for this story point alone and then forgotten. THERE was no indication of it at first, no rule of it at first. It was just made up along the way. AND that's the writer's fault BUT! the anime team could have fixed it, and they didn't it remains trash.
Too many anime are looking so cartoonish. We dont need babies running around doing highschool esc shit we need real fights with good animation.

Sukuna vs Mahoraga animation was bad and inconsistent I was more annoyed than amazed because of constatnt animation changes and couldn't focus :/
For me Yuuji vs Choso and Yuuji&Todo vs mahito were better than that fight
