As a Chelsea fan, I'm glad to see him go. There's no other way to say it, he's been terrible. Could-a, would-a, should-a. He never stepped up. He never put his stamp of authority within the team. He whined in a TV interview. He added zero for us up front in difficult games. In fact, he has been everything we wouldn't have wanted.had we known. I don't like players with huge ego's, but on the other hand you cant have a 100m player come on and play like a mouse. He's been pathetic, and his leaving doesn't make us any weaker.
It's not like it's his 3rd time at the club or anything.

@@laughn0wcryl8r74 Shev came to us far too late, he was done when we got him. Morata is not a top striker, I have no idea how he continues to get paid for playing football.
But yes, we've burned through some names. The difference for Lukaku is that, frankly, he hasn't looked like he cared very much. I mean we've had games where he's put in zero effort. When the interview came out his reputation was damaged, and he simply had to come out swinging after that and prove to us he cared. He didn't do that. He just carried on playing as though he'd rather be having a nap.
He'll do well at Inter, but the PL just overcomes him,
@@northernbloke6787 I think we wanted Haaland. So we spent a lot of time trying to get him, to no avail. The other striker looking around then was Kane, and I never believed we could him either. So Lukaku came in a poor third choice.

obvious and needs investigating. If Roman was still about he'd have taken the L and sent him packing back to Anderlecht

As a Utd fan, I laughed so hard last summer when pundits were saying that he is the “missing piece in tuchel’s jigsaw” & how having lukaku makes Chelsea title favourites. Honestly, the bloke is a donkey. Poor work rate, shocking attitude & is just no where near as clinical enough anymore in front of goal - especially in the premier league
Him and Pogba have a lot in common in terms of attitude and application
Spot on. Said all you needed to know about him when he signed for Jay-Z's Roc nation as his agent..then tried his hand at rapping with his faux transatlantic accent 🤦🏻♂️ Only "professional" footballer I've seen not able to control a ball. He's a fraud.

Agreed. I was a bit confused as to why most people were thinking he'd be great. Only myself and my brother who supports Man Utd knew this would fail. The guy is extremely overrated.
Has no one else thought that Inter and Lukaku were colluding about doing this the entire time? Inter needed money, Lukaku gets them 100m+ and then kicks a fuss and is back in 6-12 months for nothing. I mean how is no one else thinking this?
🤔….
Bloody hell, never thought of it like that. Chelsea got duped big time!
Mega mind super evil villain thinking right there
I said this last night funnily enough. It's proper suspect. He wanted to go back from the beginning . It's not like the Italian football clubs have a history of fraud and criminal activity is it haha
Right so Lukaku wouldn't want to succeed at the club he supported growing up. Is happily going to take a wage cut going back to inter. Do you belive the earth is flat by any chance?
"Missing piece of Jigsaw" 😂
I remember when he was signed, pundits were lauding him as the best striker in the Premier before the season started. I kept saying its too soon to say it would work. After his first goal the pundits started saying he's one of the best ever. I kept saying he's only scored 1 goal. The expectation was way too high.
not even that, he was doing well and actually trying before his injury. after that then there was the villa game where did well but then he became totally invisible after that. don't understand how someone so arrogant can be so weak minded and want go back after just 3 months

His style of play just doesn't suit Chelsea at the moment. He needs a supporting striker up front with him, like he had at Inter. He also needs players who are willing to run the channels in front of him while he holds the ball up.
He's still quite good with his back to goal.
This is completely wrong. He's terrible with his back to goal, and he doesn't hold the ball up well. He plays off the shoulder of the defender and needs the ball played into him early - basically the opposite of how chelsea currently play.
I've never been impressed with his back to goal play. Plenty of other facets of his game to admire, but Chelsea let one of the best proponents of hold up play in the modern game go, in Giroud, who ironically would probably be a better fit for this playstyle, presses harder too.
@@steve-lee
Have you seen any of his Inter performances?
He had Kai Havertz. Just admit it he's not meant for the prem and top clubs. Yeah, Inter could just be the exception to the rule. Look at Belgium, he's scored goals bc KDB and Hazard carry it across the goalline but when it gets to big teams, they've to score themselves. It's not rocket science.
@@benedictchinweuba5820 Easy for him to use his size in Italy where it's no where near as physical as the Premier league. Did you see his performances at United ? He can't even control the ball properly. Premier league is the very top in world football and he's flopped at two big clubs. He's a fraud.
Call me crazy but I truly believe this was a premeditated move from both Lukaku and Inter. Chelsea fans have never rated him and he knows it. It can never be proved but Chelsea FC got played all the way to the bank
The interview set the wheels in motion.
True! Reporters like Di Marzio even reported about Lukaku being in contact with Inter board & players since December.
I was thinking something similar.
I think Tuchel just doesn’t know how to use him.
Tuchel’s not a bad manager, Lukaku’s not a bad player, he’s just not used correctly.
Exactly, the system was never right for his playing style
🤮🤮🤮🤮
What are you both talking about... how can any system work for a player who can't move 5cm if the ball is player away from his leg?? He was never a big team or big game player it's that simple. CHELSEA and their management who are literally resigning makes sense now coz whoever did this deal for him should be kicked out ... coz a few literally need to be fired.

Agreed. City fan and I was at the game when he absolutely roasted Sagna. Now he was on the wane but I’m convinced Pep bought Walker on that performance. He absolutely bullied City’s back 4 and scored a peach. Me and our kid looked at each other and both said “player”. Just not the right fit at some clubs.
Was that the game when our keeper saved 2 pens? he was brilliant lukaku even when we first signed him Martinez played him on the right of a 3 a few times and it really paid off you don’t get a goal scoring record that he has if you haven’t got something about you

Old Chunky has been a disaster since he absolutely piled the weight on around 2018. Constantly trudges round the pitch blowing, sweating buckets & struggling to catch his breath ever since 😬
He flopped at United due to your team being crap. At Chelsea Tuchel flopped him, Lukaku is legit world class. His goal scoring record is phenomenal
He’s one of the most over rated strikers ever just a big sulking over payed lump
Lukaku is absolutely not a world class footballer
@@alexbelotti1603 Aubameyang won a golden boot playing for an average Arsenal side. World class players stand out in poor teams and teams that don't necessarily play to their strengths. They don't hide away because the team isn't playing well and leave as soon as the going gets slightly tough, like Lukaku. He's kissed the badge at every club he's been at, because he's a fake. @@qg1235 you make a good point with Auba but a lot of players are system players and you can be still World class. It’s clear Lukaku and Tuchel both fell out with each other quite quickly and Lukakus performance therefore spiralled further.
I agree with you Jason. I saw many opportunities for the ball to be passed to him early but didn't. Chelsea didn't play to him strengths. TT said he should adapt to the team. No compromise. Something had to give

I'm Italian and an Inter supporter. I can say that lukaku is a footballer who needs to feel affection, support and trust to do well. Lukaku is very strong in the spaces and if he is served in a certain way. Antonio Conte's inter played on the counterattack and Lukaku had 40/50 meters of field in front of him. Technically it's not much, so in a game of possession and with few spaces, Lukaku struggles
exactly this. You would've thought Chelsea would know this though before they spent £97mil on him!

Lukaku is a class centre forward and will be fine at Inter if you are not going to play to his strengths you will not get the best out of him.
That has happened numerous times to many players. The only question is everyone knows how he played at Everton ,Inter & Belgium.
Man U & Chelsea had other issues going on while the former teams just wanted a centre forward who scores goals if you service him properly....
I don’t even know why they got Lukaku in the first place. could’ve used that money to get 2 quality players or pay a little more for potentially Haaland, Lewa or Kane. lol wtf. instead they got a dud. ended up getting rid of him for a box of candies and bag of chips
Jokes….😅
Lukaku made it pretty clear in the lead up to his Chelsea move that he didnt want to leave Inter. He had pretty much said if he has to leave Italy then Chelsea was the team he would join as he felt he had unfinished business there. I felt his heart was never really in it.
Has one great season at Inter Milan
Couldn't cut the mustard at Manchester United
Left Chelsea TWICE!
Can't remember any highlights with Belgium against the best teams.
Yup. Overrated. The shock people are in now shocks me. I am not shocked. At all.
You just touch it but let me make sure it's pointed out mate, he would hardly come short to get involved but would rather go in behind. Defenders in premiere league are much better than in series a ones these days so he got found out quickly. That touch doesn't look improved at all he was just up against weaker defenders.
Now we must take Broja. We own him. He has loads of potential. Won't cost as much as the other limited options out there. And the clock is ticking. He's a solid option to throw in the mix
Off to West Ham.
Good business by inter you have him for 90 million we get him back next year for 8 million and we pay his wages out of his transfer fees with millions and millions left over basically cost Chelsea 90 million to loan him

My question is
So if Recce and Chilwell get injured (God forbid) we won't go anywhere league wise standing or progress to the latter stages of the champions league and other cup competitions?

Spot on Cundy. Lukaku is a great player but mentally not strong enough . He could have made a statement by staying and fighting for his spot in the team but chose to go for the easy solution and go back to what is comfortable for him . To be honest , I don’t even think he’ll do well at Inter . Conte was key to getting the best out of him , don’t think Inzaghi will be able to do the same .
It doesn't help that he's best mates with pogba. As a utd fan I can see the same rot in him as we got with pogba. And now he's going back where he came from. Sound familiar?
It's very hard to be a striker or a winger in Tuchel's Chelsea team.you get absolutely no service. The top goalscorers are defenders. That says a lot. Ziyech and Odoi should also push to leave. Chelsea has good attacking players but the 5-2-3 or 5-3-2 limits them.

That situation is a disgrace. Cfc and Lukaku should be embarrassed...Seriously!
When Chelsea get their signings wrong they’re usually not just underwhelming but an absolute stinker. Lukaku, Morata, Torres, Shevchenko, Kepa, Drinkwater etc….

Thank goodness the club have chose to back the manager here.
In days past, the manager may have been told make it work or a new manager will come in.
He’s a disgrace and a very expensive mistake.
Let’s hope the new owners are more astute, do due diligence before signing players at extortionate money and buy players young and hungry with good resale value.
Liverpool are a good example. They sold Mane for more or less what they paid for him, cos they bought him when he was young and hungry. When they spend big, they get it right. They don’t spend stupid money on a second choice full back. They buy promising, ambitious young talent and mould them into top players.
Also we need to identify which of our youth players are good enough and create a route for them to the first team. Livramento and Lamptey are both good enough and it’s frustrating to see guys that good not playing for us.
Here’s hoping Colvill and Gallagher break through into the first team this season and that TT is supported by the board even if things aren’t going as well as we would like.
It’s going to be more competitive then ever this season.

Do we play to Harvertz strength? Lukaku is a below average player.
Worst signing in premier league history hands down ..2nd maguire , 3rd pogba
Lukaku literally said he was ready to play in any way whether running behind or holding up. Tuchel changed the system then he started to cry that he didn’t like it. Really!!. Let him go!!
I say this all the time and no one picks up on it. Lukaku messed himself up by saying he is the complete striker and can play however the team needs him.
He never put a full shift in, he is also far too slow, can't beat defenders, no good in the air and hasn't got a shot. Apart from that he is world class at tap ins. He will go back to Italy and be knocking them on again as its easier to score there. If Abraham comes back from Italy he would struggle against premiership defenders again.
Who could have seen this coming, oh yeah, everyone
Chelsea got mugged off by inter. He never wanted to leave. His agent and luk. engineered a move to coin it. And always had a plan to switch back. With chelsea out of pocket £100m on a transfer, agent fees plus salary.
The great football robbery
Lukaku is top goal scorer for Belgium, prolific scorer at Everton and west brim too. How can Chelsea pay £100 M for a striker, not play to his strength, then call him a disaster. You know what you bought, it’s your responsibility to use him right!
what's up with TT though? he doesn't seem to make any forward work... Tammy, Mount, Timo, Hakim, Christian, Rom, Hudson.... not bad players at all... Rom is topscorer with 15 goals.... despite playing not a lot of games.... why is that? why is running away, taking a paycut and the scorn of the fans? What happened really?anyone?
The team is better off without him. Tuchel needs to sign a striker who he can trust to do the business in his tactical framework.
The whole team would have suffered more if TT had concentrated more on helping one player "Lukaku" instead of the whole team. He was impatient.

Jason is absolutely right, something acknowledged by many… We never played to his strength. We never played to Werner’s strength either.
