- I looove it when the garnish ties back to the cocktail. This cocktail isn't the same without it. Sure, it might taste the same, but it's....well....incomplete.
Invented in the 1940's at Don the Beachcomber, Hollywood.

To make THREE DOTS and a DASH:

1/2oz fresh lime
1/2oz fresh orange juice
1/2oz honey mix
1 1/2oz Amber Martinique Rum
1/2oz Demerara Rum
1 Dash Angostura bitters
1/4oz Falernum
1/4oz Allspice Liqueur
3/4 cup crushed ice

Blend at high speed for about 5 seconds. Pour into a fancy cocktail glass and garnish with three cherries and a pineapple stick or leaf.

Three Dots is one of my faves. Of course, I don't have a vintage cherry-getter, so I'm not certain mine are authentic or not!
I wonder if the original version was made with straight up pimento dram or Donn’s spice number 2 which had both pimento dram and vanilla syrup in it.
