Bev you are such an incredible woman! My momma used to make pumpkin pie, apple pie and because my favourite is blueberry she would always make me a blueberry pie. I miss her so much every single day but especially at this time of year. She used to be like you and would bake and cook and make an incredible meal for all of us. I cooked a turkey yesterday and sliced it all up and then put all the bones and wings in my instapot and made bone broth overnight. This morning I made a big pot of turkey rice soup and canned five cans and hubby had a delicious bowl of soup for his lunch. Then I made homemade rolls and cooked a ham. I also made some sausage stuffing and added apple sauce to it with sage and cinnamon of course it didn’t cook in the turkey I’ll just be warming it in a foil pan tomorrow. We are taking everything up to my Dad’s and having a big dinner at his place with my grand babies too. All I have to do tomorrow besides put everything in the oven to warm is peel the potatoes and cook and mash/whip them and then make a cheese sauce and steam the broccoli. Then we should have a fantastic meal. I’m taking a jar of my turkey soup up for Dad so he can have it when he wants. But watching you just brought back so many fine memories of my mom and I wish I’d told her more how special she was to me and how much I appreciated everything she did and all the wonderful family traditions that she instilled in us. God bless and I hope you enjoy your thanksgiving dinner with family. ❤️🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving and your family is thankful of the love you put into the meal. It was just wonderful being a part of your preparations, Australia doesn't do Thanksgiving and it's Christmas lunch in my family with cold ham/turkey with salads then Ice-cream so being a part of your pie making was special for me ❤.
I make my own brown sugar, that way I can make a batch of light and dark. I always have a few jars of Grandma's unsulphured molasses on hand and of course I buy sugar in bulk when it's on sale. That way I never run out of it and it's so simple to make.
Hi beth I always watch you videos. Although don't comment. Not very good putting sentences together. Love thes pies. Love your kind of cooking. Especially your bread. I'm from U K.
I got one of those mats somewhere in a closet. But because it's rolled up it never lays flat when I do want to use it. How do you store yours to keep it flat but out of the way and clean? And all those pies sound delicious. BWell, had apple pie before tho never pumpkin or blueberry pie. Happy Thanksgiving from England.
I recently bought a Walfos mat and rolling pin combo on Amazon. The mat is really flexible and rolls out nice and flat and sticks to the counter really well. The rolling pin is great to use, and the dough stuck way less than directly on the counter, so I could use less flour dusting. Fingers crossed it stays nice and pliable and doesn't get wrinkly or curled up on itself.
Sometimes, Thanksgiving came with homemade noodles. Whenever there were homemade egg noodles, there was a cream pie (chocolate usually, but sometimes coconut, banana, butterscotch, or lemon) with peaks or meringue!
Use all the excuses you want but: it's unlikely your rusty cookware will have the bacteria that causes tetanus. However, this doesn't mean it's 100 percent safe to use cookware with rust development. If you are particularly sensitive to rust, ingesting even small quantities can cause health complications.Jan 30, 2024
Put you some marshmallows in the bag the container where your brown sugar lives and rock hard brown sugar will be no more. Don’t know how it works but it does…….
Sweet Gracie's precious face watching.... What a beautiful pup....
We agree!

I wipe down the fridge front with a damp cloth and slap it up on the fridge. wipe it down and take it off whenever I need it.

My Uncle, God rest him was the pie maker. He was originally from P.E.I.
