I plug a Selore &S-Global hub into the USB-C on my DELL Latitude 5320 laptop that drives 2x HDMI, 2x USB2, 3x USB3, speaker/microphone, Ethernet and even a VGA/DVI port. Flexible connectivity is important for me, so this is a great solution through a single USB-C port. I drive a 27" monitor at home and dual 25" monitors at work with USB dongles for different wireless KB/mouse configurations as well as a mouse in the laptop bag for travel.

Thank you for the helpful video. I have a macbook pro 2017 with four thunderbolt 3 ports, and I purchased a Dell USB-C monitor which has a USB-C port (alt mode display) and has two HDMI ports (Dell 34 Curved USB-C Monitor - S3423DWC). I have purchased several USB-C to USB-C cables with one end inserted into my monitor and the other to my laptop. They charge my laptop but they are unable to display video on my monitor from my macbook. For this reason, I am having to use a separate HDMI cable to display on my monitor. I purchased this monitor so that I could use one USB-C cable to both charge and display video onto my monitor, but I am wondering if there is some sort of compatibility issue as my macbook has thunderbolt 3 and the monitor has USB-C, or if there is something wrong with the monitor USB-C port which is advertised as an alternative mode display port as well as charging upto 65W. Can you please advise?

Can I plug the DP end of the cable to a Nvidia GTX 1050ti graphic card which has a DP, using a USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable, to a monitor that has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode?

Feeling good that my mini-PC has 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports and 2 HDM1 2.1 ports. Best of both worlds.

I have a thunderbolt monitor but my cpu doesn't have a USB C slot. Which adapter would be best: HDMI, Display Port, or USB A?

So HDMI does sounds Display port does not. Does the USB C transmit sound? This was not covered.
