We post CLASSIC ROCK FULL ABLUM REACTIONS every day at noon (eastern time). For BTS/KPOP reactions we have been posting every day at 8:00am (eastern time). As you can imagine, this is a tremendous amount of work to do 2 songs a day. So don't hold us to this schedule... we're trying to keep up with it all. On our main channel page, we have BTS & KPOP section separated out from the other reactions. We're hoping this makes it easier for everyone to find the reactions they want.
4 sure i love watching peoples who discovers BTS for the first time and react to it with respect so .. thanks for this .. You just got yourself a new follower
This was actually bts’ first ever English single and ended up being a HUGE hit both in korea and rest of the world. And interestingly dynamite was never supposed to happen. Bts had initially planned to release one album in beginning of 2020 (map of the soul :7 was released in feb 2020 right before the pandemic) and head start the world tour. Because of the sudden pandemic the entire tour was canceled. So bts decided to release a single as a gift for international fans few months later. It wasn’t even promoted in korea, it only after it started doing insane numbers that bts actively started promoting it. Rm literally said that he wanted to release a upbeat song for fans. And that song literally ended up one of the biggest in their whole career. Dynamite ended up being part of the album ‘BE’ which was released in November of 2020. Just like dynamite, ‘BE’ was also an album that was only possible because of the pandemic. This album was entirely self produced, not only members participated in the song making, but also in the album design, concept, photoshoots, music video etc. The members participated in the smallest details like what they were going to wear for photoshoots, which camera would be used for photoshoots, and even the whole schedule placement was done by the members. The youngest member, jungkook was actually the director of the mv of the title track, ‘Life goes on’. This was his debut as a director. Interestingly you can find videos on youtube of them in the decision making process. You can see videos of them deciding the theme of the album, choosing which songs to be added, which subunits to form for the album, which concept to follow for the photoshoots, choosing the type of camera’s to be used etc (obviously making sure not to spoil anything). It was honestly such an interesting experience as a fan to see my favourite artists in the production process of an album.
I also heard the music was sent to them to consider with temporary lyrics as a placeholder for the demo. BTS liked the song and when it came to writing lyrics for it the group decided the demo lyrics were already very good, they liked them and in English so they went with those lyrics. Cool! It was a little gift and placeholder song for the ARMY during the pandemic, bright and upbeat that took off like crazy.
I'm 52 year old ARMY from New Zealand. This is one of 3 english songs. BUTTER is my favourite out of the 3. Most of their songs will require you to use closed captions or colour lyrics so you can see the english translations. I prefer them using Korean/English lyrics in their songs. They cover lots of genres. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. RM is the guy in the record store. He's fluent in english, has an IQ 148 and is the leader of BTS. The rappers can sing, however they're not fully trained vocalists like the other 4 members. Their main job is to rap. Saying that.... all of them do the following, but in the beginning and still in the most part: RM, Suga would write, compose, produce many of the songs. As the band gained more experience, the others now contribute as well. Alongside their inhouse producers and writers. BTS is very hands on.
Kia ora from Army in Auckland as well! As a more mature Army, although I am still enjoying their recent releases in English, I enjoy the depth of meaning in those older songs. It's easy to forget that some people would never listen to a song in any language other than their own. Also that Kpop songs generally have different and more complex structures than a lot of popular western songs. Kpop is such a generic term for a whole host of genres but convenient for beginning to introduce other cultures to Korean music. I love when people broaden their horizons from what is comfortable to them. It all promotes tolerance for differences.
I recommend watching ON next, specifically the Kinetic Manifesto: come prima video. There is also a regular music video, but this version really showcases their talents for dance and live performance. There are several documentary videos to introduce the members so maybe do that after a few more songs. They have an incredibly inspiring story. Great job, guys!! "You nice, keep going!"💜
They also performed this song in the Grand Central Station in New York. It was broadcasted on the Jimmy Fallon Show. The performance takes one's breath away. Here's a link to the live performance in the Grand Central Station: ua-cam.com/video/MZh-w2nysuI/v-deo.html As other have said, BTS have a large discography. They have tried so many genres, it's easier to name the genre they haven't done. Though I love all their main singles (called title songs in K-pop) my most beloved beloved songs are their B-sides. There are so many I'd love to recommend but I have a feeling you might like their 2015's 'Ma city' and their 2020's 'Dis-ease'. Their energy on both songs is insane.
All rappers can sing pretty well, J-hope besides of being a rapper is also a sub-vocalist so he tends to sing more than RM and Suga. You should check out 'Black Swan'. It's one of my favorite tracks of theirs.
You might have heard it from the countless Samsung commercials lool [BTS are the brand-ambassadors of Samsung so they kept playing this every time I opened anything on youtube lmao] This was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge when it dropped and it earned their first BILLBOARD HOT 100 NO. 1 and their first GRAMMY NOMINATION :) It stayed at the number 1 spot for three weeks (they broke the record with their song Butter which stayed for 10 weeks), and stayed in the chart for 32 weeks 💜💜
49 year old metal head here 🙋 and I ADORE BTS. I've seen them in concert and it was hands down the best concert I've ever been to. My playlist is confusing to some lol, it's Nine inch nails, BTS, Metallica, BTS, Led Zeppelin, BTS 🤣
I have noticed a lot more "metal" fans like BTS and or kpop too. I grew up on classic rock and got into punk rock and heavy metal in my teenage years and I enjoy kpop a lot. My Marine Veteran husband who only ever listened to heavy metal music also like BTS (only BTS I have shown him other ones)
I'm 57 and listened to metal and punk most of my life. Other things too but part of what caught me with BTS is how they can do any genre flawlessly and even transition styles seamlessly in one song.
The rappers can sing too :) Yeah, this song was fun for what it is, an uplifting song to cheer up people around the world during the pandemic. Personally I love the Tiny Desk live version of Dynamite. But, their discography just offers so much more than pop so really looking forward to seeing you guys get into those kinds of songs. Black Swan and ON Kenetic manifesto would probably be a good place to start :p OR the BTS room live festa is amazing ~ I know some people are asking for Butter but it sits kind of in a similar pop lane as Dynamite so maybe if you want some variety save Butter for a bit later down the track
@@GetSidewaysReacts Oh awesome! Thankyou 😊 I’ll definitely be there when it drops ! I appreciate you guys taking the time to make these videos, I really enjoy that you’re both very open and seem genuine ~ 💜
@@GetSidewaysReacts remember to click the CC button when you listen to their songs that are in Korean so you get eng subtitles, you can have it on in eng songs like Butter to ofcourse but don't forget it when it's a Korean one.
57 year old ARMY here. Like you, I listened to every group you mentioned and more. Heavy metal, rock, alternative, etc. My daughter turned me on to them and right now... They are all I listen to. They have over 300 songs between albums and solo projects. All are different in their own way. Songs to fit every mood. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy your journey and make sure you get to know the group and the individual members. They are wonderful young men.
It was in Samsung commercial :D and yes the rappers also sang their parts in this song. BTS release three English songs in the two years: Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. Rest of their discography is in Korean and Japanese.
Thanks reacting without judging BTS. We really appreciate it. If people just listen and watch bts without prejudice, they would actually love them. They are amazingly talented wonderful and humble people. They sing, rap, dance, produce their songs. Thanks so much.
The thing with BTS is that they are all very versatile. They can sing, rap, and dance. The song Dynamite has been used for a lot of things. There have been Samsung commercials, Hyundai commercials, it has been used as bgm for a lot of different shows and events. Heck even Dancing With the Stars is doing a special finale to Dynamite on Monday. Their three English songs were songs they put out to lift up the spirits of people during these difficult times. Their discography is huge and they cover so many different genres of music. One thing to remember is their lyrics have a deep meaning. They have talked about things like pressure from society, growing up, loss, mental health, loving yourself, and so many other topics. They are one of the only groups I have seen that talk about Carl Jung’s psychology through music. There is a whole storyline that goes along with this. The thing about BTS is that they are truly amazing artist and people. They are humble and have told us countless times that they just want to heal people with their music. As they say Music Transcends Language. Thank you for your honest reactions. Can’t wait to see what’s next
I don't know if you watched the Super Bowl, but it was used as the song to show off all the great players and plays throughout the year during the Super Bowl too.
This song is a darn bop. This didn’t ever get radio play, part of the “industry hate” is that the music industry doesn’t give them airplay even for the English songs. So their success is even more impressive and 1.3 billion UA-cam views for Dynamite after a year. The big thing to me is that they released songs like Dynamite, Butter and especially Permission to Dance to cheer up fans during the pandemic. Really enjoying you giving them a chance, pace yourself and you’ve already noticed Army comes on like an over enthusiastic exceptionally wordy golden retriever. Enjoy the crazy BTS rabbit hole.
My daugther loves BTS so much since 2015, i always told her why do you like them so much, but when i heard dynamite i became a BTS fan too, im 50 now, i like r n b, i never thought BTS have almost all the genre including r n b, pls do react to their " BTS festa room live 2021" they sound so good live😊
BTS is the real deal, they are true artists. With over 250 songs in their discography, their music is so diverse from hip hop, pop, rock, ballad, edm, etc.
I’m a metalhead and 80s music listener since I was 13, I’m 35 now and some how I got across BTS at the beginning of 2020, and now I’m a full hardcore BTS ARMY. They are much deeper than just good music. The creative with the storylines, the lyrics, the music videos and all the symbolism and mean on it. Their personalities and the messages they want to spread. Their quality on everything they do, it’s just pure art.
Yall dont understand how happy it made me when yall said you heard of it. I know they're like the biggest boyband in the world but their growth still really amazes me 😭
it's funny to me when locals react to BTS for the first time and they be like, "I heard this before", BTS is literally everywhere, love the reactions !
The guy in the record store is RM/Kim Namjoon The Leader of BTS. Please check BTS' songs at the beginning of their debut. They had more aggressive beat and are still very young, teenagers for the 3 vocalist. more hip hop stuff like the songs No More Dream, Danger, Cypher 1,2,3, N.o, We On and many more.
I love this journey into BTS. As a person raised on classic rock, who went through a serious punk/ska phase and eventually got into jazz, rap and hip hop..you will fall in love with BTS just like I did ;)
this dong was their first full English song and their first No.1 song on Billboard Hot100 last year 3 weeks in a row. you guys surely could hear this song through the radio cause this was so hot at that time not only in US but also all over the world.
For the next of the countless styles BTS did, It'd be great if guys check out Black swan next :) [FUNFACT:- Black swan and dynamite released in the same year 2020]
So I would say this was their first experiment with a total english- all members song(cause they released a few before but it wasn't all of them). The next release was Butter, which I so think is much more BTS as they found a way to incorporate more of their dancing and, super important, the rap. As a lot of people said the song ON is one of the best to showcase their range (there's top singing, dancing and rap, overall it has everything that make them known as top performers). If you would like to know who they are as artists I would say listen to ON, Butter and Life Goes On as they each represent something they are.
@@sariel8406 As I said they did release all-english songs before, but they didn't involve all members. I was particularly thinking about Waste it on Me, which had mainly RM and Jungkook. But it wasn't even promoted. Dynamite is their first english comeback (with all that entails), let's put it that way
They not only used this song for Samsung Galaxy commercial but often played in various places like Dancing with the Stars, background music for other TV programs also you might heard while you were shopping in different stores. Their English songs are more like pops and considered easy summer songs but other songs are different. House of Cards (live), Singularity (solo), Black Swan(mv or live James Corden show), Outro Tear (live at the Wembley Stadium), Your Eyes Tell and Film Out (Japanese movie OSTs, live). You can see how different each songs are.
I listen to everything from 50’s pop, 70’s-80’s rock to rap and anything in between, and I love BTS. Played a BYS song list on my SongPop game and just immediately liked so many songs that I had to dive in and find out more
6:05 in this specific song all 7 sing. They always try different things and adapt to that genre/concept. Yes you probably heard Dynamite in a commercial, they promote Samsung, Hyundai, (they even had a Mcdonald meal called BTS meal), ... I think an interesting song to check out that would be a contrast to UGH and Dynamite would be a song like Blue&Grey.
BTS has taught me so much through their music and their growth in general. For me as 40 something year old that used to listen to pop/country, they've changed my whole outlook, be more open-minded/flexible, try new things and focus on my own development. For example, like my favorite part of BTS songs are the rap. Amazing when before I absolutely abhor the rap I heard on radio/media here in US. They just do it different, especially their lyrics. Love the reaction and looking forward to your BTS discovery journey. 💜
I am a hardcore metal chick & I LOVE BTS. I found them by being curious as to what that beautiful song was on that Samsung commercial, which is "Life Goes On". And boy did I find them at the right time...I needed their music to help me feel better because life for all had just stopped because of the pandemic. I wasn't ARMY then, but, I am officially ARMY now....as you soon will be too ;)
My first love of music is classic rock and hard rock as well, first album bought was the Black Album. I listen to all the bands you listed, including Anthrax, Megadeath, Pink Floyd, Opeth and more. I expanded later in my teenage years to r n b, soul, blues, punk, some alternative. I like music that can bring out emotions. These guys will do that. If you ever check out Spring Day, check the explained by an Italian Army. Warning Its heartbreaking, frustrating and will make you feel somewhat helpless. And I just saw a pair of reactors get triggered by the explanation. I dismissed BTS as just another boyband when I first heard of them around 2018, but after getting into their lyrics and the amount of different genres that are at times mixed in one song, I seriously got hooked. I'm not bored with them, every album tells an overarching story, something that's reminiscent of some classic rock albums. And then I delved into their documentaries, their variety shows and everything, and these men are just good, humble and funny men, that are now living what they, with will and determination and strong bonds, achieved. You can't help but respect it.
I feel ya…I grew up in the 70s and these guys have such versatility that is positive and uplifting….you should go and watch their beginnings when they debuted in Korea in 2013 (totally blow your mind as they were all 15-20 yrs old). Explanation reviews by DKDKTV is one of the best go to’s for Korean explanations of BTS MVs. Thanks for joining in on the fun going down the BTS Rabbit Hole!
I insist "ON" is the song that resumes bts style lol 😂 you will find me saying the same comment in other videos. ON has two music videos one focus on dance and another in storyline. And yes dynamite was everywhere last year radios, social networks and commercials, mainly Samsung. Right now Samsung is also using BUTTER from them for commercials since they are Samsung ambasadors
I would try "on kinetic manifesto" or "black swan" next. There are so many genres to try with them. I love your chill vibe. In my 30s, I watch bts reaction videos to de-stress or take a break from kids.
I got a kick out of this. I am 68, a BTS army and bought records at Tower Records. I also listened to and still love Led Zeppelin among many others. I'm also a Jazz and Blues lover. In short, I love a variety of music. BTS is truly genre bending. Enjoy. Fellow Army have made some great recommendations. There's a lot to process over their career. You are likely to get bombarded. Know that at least this Army is okay with your content no matter what you do. Thanks for being open.
I am so glad I found you guys, I really like y'all's reactions am grateful you are respectful towards them. Ive already suggested songs on your other videos and ARMYs have recommended great songs so I won't overwhelm ... yet ... Lol. I'd just like to reiterate 1 suggestion: BTS Room Live 2021. It'll really show you their versatility. Oh and NPR's Tiny Desk with them. Those are 2 of my my favorite performances. 💜
I loveeee ur reaction like how it is so genuine..I just really hope u continue giving us an authentic reactions in the future as well coz most reactors at some point just become a fake one. Can u also react to BTS room live💜
Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole! Buckle up because what you thought they were they will surprise you endlessly. So glad to see more people opening up and taking the time to watch and listen to them
This song was nominated to "Grammy" at the begining of this year (The Best performance). Even if BTS couldn't get Grammy this year but "Dynamite" is really huge )))) Sure they will be nominated again and they will get this award.
Dynamite was played during Samsung commercials and it's been played during every single awards show last year and during a ton of sporting events in the background. :) This was their first all English song of their own and it was debuted at #1 on BB Hot 100. All seven members can sing to a degree and rap to a degree. :)
I’m glad you guys liked it even thought it doesn’t seem like your usual preference of genre! They really have such a wide range of genres, I hope your see some of their more rock-inspired songs💜
Overall I'm not a huge fan of BTS's English songs and prefer their Korean ones, but I do love Dynamite. It never fails to put a smile on my face and it especially helps me on days I need something to get me moving in the morning. I highly recommend watching their Festa Room Live to get a taste of their versatility as artists. I'm not sure what to recommend beyond that because I'm not yet familiar enough with your musical tastes. I'll leave that task to the people who've watched more of your videos. Honestly, all I would be doing is listing my favorite songs. 😂 Thanks for giving BTS another chance. I'm glad you enjoyed this. 💜
Dynamite was in Samsung commercials, but it is also currently in the background of Clifford the Big Red Dog trailers, and that video has been all over the place in social media ads, so you may have heard it there. It has also been used in Dancing with the Stars.
Omg...I'd love for you to livestream reactions to their complete albums, because their albums are in trilogies and specificly themed. I'd think you'd enjoy them so much!
Depending on the song the rappers sometimes sing(or sort of sing-rap), especially J-Hope. I want to suggest some things to give you a better idea of how diverse they are and what they can do! :) Music videos: - Black Swan - 'ON' Kinetic manifesto(There's also an official MV for the song, but the kinetic manifesto version is more focused on their dancing and really lit!) - Fake Love - Blood, sweat & tears - Not Today REMEMBER TO TURN ON CAPTIONS! Live performances: - Tiny desk (home) concert - Fix you(Coldplay cover) on MTV Unplugged - Born singer(this version: ua-cam.com/video/Z5WLRWMYzEU/v-deo.html) - The truth untold(Only the vocal line) ....And Dionysus! (MMA 2019 version, their whole performance((ca 37 minutes)) is well worth it as well.)
New subscriber here... I am a BTS Army and I love how respectful you are to them.. We always say.. that it's okey not to like them or their music but at least respect them. Thank you
I love the way how you make your reaction video, cause you enjoy first the music you didn't pause any part of the video,i love it feels like we are with you on how we enjoy watching mv and listening to the music.I like that you give your reaction after watching full of the mv.
This was their first full english single. They released to spread some positive good vibes in the middle of the pandemic. They really created old times music and the video. It really takes you back. Because the gentleman on the right seems to enjoy music from back in the days, he probably enjoyed it. 😊
Dynamite is their first full English language song followed by Butter and then PTD released in the last 2 years. The rappers sing, they all sing and they all dance. They do it all. 💜💜
Dynamite was BTS's 1st original All English song, recorded to bring a bit of joy during earlier tome of covid epidemic..... The also have released 2 other original songs in 100% English during this last year: "BUTTER" & "PERMISSION TO DANCE "... All three topped the Billboard and many other charts.... Their latest release is "MY UNIVERSE" that they did with Coldplay.... RM, SUGA, & J-HOPE wrote the rap sections and Chris Martin & Coldplay traveled to Seoul to work with them.... great mv out also...
It's definitely a good vibes song. They released this song last year, with the intention of lifting people's spirits up~ And I personally think that it really did a great job with that~ Thanks for reacting to it! Ooh by the way, if you're reacting to their non-English songs, their MVs do have CCs. If you're confused with the lyrics however, you might like to find a good explanation video for them :) Like what you did with UGH.
after dynamite i recommend listening to butter then permission to dance once you done with the english songs i recommend: bs&t, boy in luv, boy with liv, jump, black swan, on, no, danger, fake love, the truth untold, spring day, we are bulletproof the eternal, we are bulletproof pt2, just one day, film out, mic drop, house of cards (vocal line) , daengg (rap line), anpanman, pied piper, dna, idol ft nicki minaj, and fire/burning up (they have many many many bangers and fire songs i can’t even list them all but these are a must!!!)
Like how chill and genuine you guys are. Some reactors are either hyper fakers, racists, haters or screaming fans.lol. Looking forward to some more BTS from you guys. The rappers all sang in this, but usually the rappers don’t sing. Please react to MIC DROP, ON, BUTTER, LIFE GOES ON, FAKE LOVE, BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS..
Just grooving, reacting, taking your time to watch, not talking over anything, smiling... liking this guys! Got yourself a new sub. Army since 2017, 41y old ✌️🇫🇮
I love seeing others react to ON kinetic manifesto music video. I recommend watching it with the English captions or looking up the lyrics later on because it is powerful! You will get a good combination of dance, rap, vocals, and their production team in this specific mv. Usually this is the first song I show to non-listeners who want to see who BTS is! Fun fact the music video was filmed in LA 💜
This MV set the record for most viewed music video in the first 24 hours at 101.4 million views (!) and it stayed there until this year when they released their second all-English song "Butter" which had 108.2 million views in the first 24 hours! Staggering numbers. Dynamite was BTS' first all-English song. They released it as a single a few months into the pandemic in the first half of last year (2020) as a way to bring something light, fun and cheerful to the world. It was also a good song to promote in the US/international market (because, English) - but I don't think anyone expected just how big this song would be. It was so huge you guys even heard it before, you just don't know where. Dynamite wasn't initially in their plans but the pandemic canceled their world tour so they decided to take the English-song route. They've been without live audiences for two years now! Must be a drain on them, since they thrive on performing to tens of thousands at a time. They've only been able to do recorded 'live' performances... imagine giving your all - singing, rapping, dancing and performing - in empty studios, arenas, even a stadium, for two years. Meanwhile, Dynamite and Butter have been setting and breaking records left and right... number one/on Billboard for weeks and weeks. BTS broke literally dozens of Guinness World Records in 2020 alone. Their fan base was already huge but for many millions more, Dynamite broke the language barrier and introduced them to BTS... the number of fans has escalated even more since last year, and again this year with Butter, then Permission to Dance, and then the collab with Coldplay, My Universe (which they sing mostly in Korean, along with Chris' English verses). But it's their 8-year-old catalogue of mostly Korean songs with thoughtful lyrics covering diverse genres and a range of subjects -- inspired by literature, art, politics, the struggles of youth and young adults (and humans in general) and even everyday things like rain or a bicycle or a leaf... that's what has really captured us. The all-English tunes are just some nice fun frosting on a very substantial cake. In just a week they'll finally take to the stadium again at SoFi in LA. Tears will be had by all, with BTS and Army finally in one space together again.
This song instantly turned me into an ARMY. Once I heard the whole thing and not just the part of the Samsung commercial, well, there was not turning back for me after that
BTS will be performing 2 songs tomorrow night at the AMAs (American Music Awards): • “Butter” (ft. Megan Thee Stallion) • “My Universe” (with ColdPlay) Just a suggestion in case you wanna check them out live and their latest songs
The song ugh was mainly the rap line: j hope, suga, and RM Vocal line: V, Jungkook(Jk), Jin, jimin All rapper sing.. j hope sings well so he is a sub vocal.
Subscribed! Like your reactions :) Also, BTS songs is a variety of songs as a whole. You could pick and choose depending on your mood, that’s why I can’t pick my favorite too lol
I am a metal and rock lady...ok lady-ish lol. I think And BTS caught me in 2018...they have a very diverse discography and the ability to move fluidly through every genre. They are just truly talented and it's absolutely mesmerizing. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for your reaction! 💜💞
All the rappers can sing and the singers can actually also rap, for example if you watch the live performance of dawichita from agust d then all of them are rapping
BTS are global ambassador for samsung n yes dynamite n butter on it. I also heard that BTS songs play alot during nba, half time too. Also can react to introduction to BTS by ida s. That one most updated one about BTS members.
I've heard it in stores and malls on the sound systems. I think it was in the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie, also probably Samsung commercials (they are Samsung ambassadors). It was everywhere.
Dynamite is really a GP (general public) song😅😂 , people heard this song without knowing they listened to bts. This song is BIG in Japan too, it reached the masses, as if BTS had been adopted by them. It everywhere 😃 P.S : David Bowie is my first love😅, fell for him since I was 8 yr old☺️ and 33 year later still am.
I really enjoyed your genuine reaction to Ugh! and Dynamite. Looking forward to you discovering more of BTS discography. They have diverse music and that is why they have fans who come from liking various genres too. They are really worth giving a chance.
Hiii, is it ok if I ask what your posting schedule is? 😅 Like what days you usually post or if it’s just random 😁
Link to ON Kinetic Manifesto ua-cam.com/video/gwMa6gpoE9I/v-deo.html
They also performed this song in the Grand Central Station in New York. It was broadcasted on the Jimmy Fallon Show. The performance takes one's breath away. Here's a link to the live performance in the Grand Central Station: ua-cam.com/video/MZh-w2nysuI/v-deo.html
As other have said, BTS have a large discography. Their energy on both songs is insane.
on or black swan is one of my favorite songs or cypher 3: killer
All rappers can sing pretty well, J-hope besides of being a rapper is also a sub-vocalist so he tends to sing more than RM and Suga. You should check out 'Black Swan'. It's one of my favorite tracks of theirs.
You might have heard it from the countless Samsung commercials lool [BTS are the brand-ambassadors of Samsung so they kept playing this every time I opened anything on youtube lmao]
This was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge when it dropped and it earned their first BILLBOARD HOT 100 NO. 1 and their first GRAMMY NOMINATION :)
It stayed at the number 1 spot for three weeks (they broke the record with their song Butter which stayed for 10 weeks), and stayed in the chart for 32 weeks 💜💜
Its their first English song haha
The member in the record store is RM, the leader and main rapper in the group
I have noticed a lot more "metal" fans like BTS and or kpop too. I grew up on classic rock and got into punk rock and heavy metal in my teenage years and I enjoy kpop a lot. My Marine Veteran husband who only ever listened to heavy metal music also like BTS (only BTS I have shown him other ones)
I'm 57 and listened to metal and punk most of my life. Other things too but part of what caught me with BTS is how they can do any genre flawlessly and even transition styles seamlessly in one song.
Metal & rock & bts 💖❤️❤️💘❤️💖🧡
I definitely second all of the ‘On: Kinetic Manifesto Film’ and ‘Black Swan’ recommendations! They’re so multi-faceted!
Yesss captions on pls!
Awesome reaction! You guys are so open minded. Thanks for being so respectful of them. Looking forward to more.
How can anyone not like this song? It makes you feel so happy!
@@GetSidewaysReacts And that is mission accomplished. That is precisely what their intention was: make people feel happy when the world stopped.
The rappers can sing too :)
Yeah, this song was fun for what it is, an uplifting song to cheer up people around the world during the pandemic. Personally I love the Tiny Desk live version of Dynamite.
But, their discography just offers so much more than pop so really looking forward to seeing you guys get into those kinds of songs.
Black Swan and ON Kenetic manifesto would probably be a good place to start :p OR the BTS room live festa is amazing ~
I know some people are asking for Butter but it sits kind of in a similar pop lane as Dynamite so maybe if you want some variety save Butter for a bit later down the track
Butter is actually scheduled for tomorrow morning. We reacted to a bunch of their songs and I’m editing and releasing them as fast as I can.
Can’t wait to see what’s next
dynamite was big! it was on samsung commercials, among others.
the rappers sang in this. ☺️
so excited for you to discover more of their songs.
I don't know if you watched the Super Bowl, but it was used as the song to show off all the great players and plays throughout the year during the Super Bowl too.
It was also on a trailer for a movie 😭😂
This is so funny how everyone already knows dynamite when they react to it but didn't know it's bts song 😂😂
Thank you for reacting to Dynamite! You are totally correct! There is 1 BTS song for your every mood!
Exactly! And this song really makes someone happy
Add 100+ solos now too!
For the next of the countless styles BTS did, It'd be great if guys check out Black swan next :)
[FUNFACT:- Black swan and dynamite released in the same year 2020]
Definitely recommend the 2021 BTS Room Live Festa
So I would say this was their first experiment with a total english- all members song(cause they released a few before but it wasn't all of them). The next release was Butter, which I so think is much more BTS as they found a way to incorporate more of their dancing and, super important, the rap. As a lot of people said the song ON is one of the best to showcase their range (there's top singing, dancing and rap, overall it has everything that make them known as top performers). If you would like to know who they are as artists I would say listen to ON, Butter and Life Goes On as they each represent something they are.
Their first all- English experiment is actually Waste it On Me. But of course it isn't their song :)
1:00 I was the same, I knew their songs, but I didn’t know it was them.😂
I am so glad I found you guys, I really like y'all's reactions am grateful you are respectful towards them. 💜
We took your recommendation and reacted to Room Festa Live 2021 and I am editing it and it should release mid-week. Thanks for all the suggestions!
@@GetSidewaysReacts oh yay! Thank you! You guys are great. I look forward to seeing it and I'll most def keep an eye out! 💜
I loveeee ur reaction like how it is so genuine..I just really hope u continue giving us an authentic reactions in the future as well coz most reactors at some point just become a fake one. Can u also react to BTS room live💜
We reacted to Room Live and I just need to edit it and release it. Should be in a couple if days. Butter is tomorrow
@@GetSidewaysReacts Looking forward to it!
Please react to BTS room live 2021.
You can understand that they are versatile from this video.
They listen to those same singer. The younger one met Dolly Parton and cried. Those are artists they admire and get inspiration from.
Yes Dynamite is a hit 🤩🤩. Commercials, breaks in TV shows/ competitions & sports games. It was everywhere.
“That song is a hit” so true, dynamite iconic actually.
I am a 76 year old great grandma who listens to KISS. BTS is my most favourite group. BTW, I am from Texas, USA.
There were Samsung and Hyundai commercials that had Dynamite. It was everywhere. Same with Butter, you've probably heard it the same way
Overall I'm not a huge fan of BTS's English songs and prefer their Korean ones, but I do love Dynamite.
You should react to Outro: Tear, they produced this song when they're talking about disbandment, it's really good,
Yeah this is a much more typical first song lately. Glad you liked it and have seen 2 very different sides of them.
Omg...I'd love for you to livestream reactions to their complete albums, because their albums are in trilogies and specificly themed. I'd think you'd enjoy them so much!
Depending on the song the rappers sometimes sing(or sort of sing-rap), especially J-Hope.
I want to suggest some things to give you a better idea of how diverse they are and what
they can do! :)
Music videos:
- Black Swan
- 'ON' Kinetic manifesto(There's also an official MV for the song, but the kinetic manifesto version is more focused on their dancing and really lit!)
- Fake Love
- Blood, sweat & tears
- Not Today
REMEMBER TO TURN ON CAPTIONS!
Live performances:
- Tiny desk (home) concert
- Fix you(Coldplay cover) on MTV Unplugged
- Born singer(this version: ua-cam.com/video/Z5WLRWMYzEU/v-deo.html)
- The truth untold(Only the vocal line)
....And Dionysus! (MMA 2019 version, their whole performance((ca 37 minutes)) is well worth it as well.)
Yep this song is HUGE. It's their first English song and they make sure that everybody will know it.
I’m an 80’s child and grew up on nu metal and rock. There’s a lot of diverse taste in the fandom.
I love how dj s bobbing to it with full smiles.. Hahaha.. That's how BTS make me feel too.. Love it!! 😅
New subscriber here... I am a BTS Army and I love how respectful you are to them.. We always say.. that it's okey not to like them or their music but at least respect them. Thank you
Samsung phone commercials, Late night talk shows, radio, Award shows, Malls basically EVERYWHERE!👏🕺🎶🎤👑🥇🌎 #BTSWorldDomination
it's on a samsung commercial, this song is everywhere on tv :)
They used this song for almost all of BTS’ Samsung commercials 😂😂
Dynamite is their first full English language song followed by Butter and then PTD released in the last 2 years. The rappers sing, they all sing and they all dance. They do it all. 💜💜
I'm both a huge Zeppelin and BTS fan so this channel is so great hahahah, glad I found yall
Dynamite was BTS's 1st original All English song, recorded to bring a bit of joy during earlier tome of covid epidemic.....
The also have released 2 other original songs in 100% English during this last year:
"BUTTER" & "PERMISSION TO DANCE "...
If you're confused with the lyrics however, you might like to find a good explanation video for them :) Like what you did with UGH.
after dynamite i recommend listening to butter then permission to dance once you done with the english songs i recommend:
bs&t, boy in luv, boy with liv, jump, black swan, on, no, danger, fake love, the truth untold, spring day, we are bulletproof the eternal, we are bulletproof pt2, just one day, film out, mic drop, house of cards (vocal line) , daengg (rap line), anpanman, pied piper, dna, idol ft nicki minaj, and fire/burning up
(they have many many many bangers and fire songs i can’t even list them all but these are a must!!!)
Next you guys can watch :
Fake Love / Mic Drop / Black Swan / Fire / DNA
Or their first song/debut song No More Dream (2013)
"I have it naturally" bahaha
Like how chill and genuine you guys are. Some reactors are either hyper fakers, racists, haters or screaming fans.lol. Looking forward to some more BTS from you guys. The rappers all sang in this, but usually the rappers don’t sing. Please react to MIC DROP, ON, BUTTER, LIFE GOES ON, FAKE LOVE, BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS..
Lol @ the older gentleman explaining a record store to the young guy
Just grooving, reacting, taking your time to watch, not talking over anything, smiling... liking this guys! Got yourself a new sub. Army since 2017, 41y old ✌️🇫🇮
I love seeing others react to ON kinetic manifesto music video. I recommend watching it with the English captions or looking up the lyrics later on because it is powerful! You will get a good combination of dance, rap, vocals, and their production team in this specific mv. Usually this is the first song I show to non-listeners who want to see who BTS is! Fun fact the music video was filmed in LA 💜
i'm a rocker too BEFORE i met BTS. I'm 45. And yes, it's ok. Thank you for keeping an open mind.
Love your reactions
Once I heard the whole thing and not just the part of the Samsung commercial, well, there was not turning back for me after that
BTS will be performing 2 songs tomorrow night at the AMAs (American Music Awards):
• “Butter” (ft. Megan Thee Stallion)
• “My Universe” (with ColdPlay)
Just a suggestion in case you wanna check them out live and their latest songs
The rappers also sing.. Every person who you saw sing, that was that artist doing their part in the song.
The song ugh was mainly the rap line: j hope, suga, and RM
Vocal line: V, Jungkook(Jk), Jin, jimin
All rapper sing.. j hope sings well so he is a sub vocal.
Subscribed! Like your reactions :) Also, BTS songs is a variety of songs as a whole. You could pick and choose depending on your mood, that’s why I can’t pick my favorite too lol
They are ambassadors for Samsung.
Dynamite was played on a Samsung commercial.
And also for an ad for the movie Clifford the big red dog
I’m excited to see your BTS discovery!
Loved your reaction guys, new subscriber
Their tiny desk live performance reaction!
I've heard it in stores and malls on the sound systems. I think it was in the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie, also probably Samsung commercials (they are Samsung ambassadors). It was everywhere.
Shhhhh....most ARMY don't really like Butter or Dynamite...but we are proud of our men for making it to the big time
Dynamite is really a GP (general public) song😅😂 , people heard this song without knowing they listened to bts. This song is BIG in Japan too, it reached the masses, as if BTS had been adopted by them. It everywhere 😃
P.S : David Bowie is my first love😅, fell for him since I was 8 yr old☺️ and 33 year later still am.
They performed this on the 2020 MTV VMAs. 💜
I really enjoyed your genuine reaction to Ugh! and Dynamite. Looking forward to you discovering more of BTS discography. They have diverse music and that is why they have fans who come from liking various genres too. They are really worth giving a chance.
