I have been a subscriber since the beginning but I think this might be the only time I’ve commented. I have to tell you how proud I am of this step you were taking to minimize in your home. I am a 75-year-old grandmother and I have seen so many of these young ladies on UA-cam continually fill their house up with stuff. Not only does it cost them more headaches because all that stuff Has to be managed and cleaned not to mention how much money it all cost. When my mother passed away I was left with 60 or 70 years of stuff to clean up. She never threw anything away. I have been on a mission the last few years to really minimize and get rid of stuff so my girls dio not have to go through the same thing. Love in Christ.
I’ve found the key to minimalism and simply living is to STOP BRINGING STUFF INTO YOUR HOME!! I see so many people declutter once a year and it’s always back to how it looked the year before because they don’t stop shopping or think once a year declutter is enough. I hope the best for you on this journey! It’s so freeing!!!
I’m in the process of decluttering. This week I’ve been decluttering cleaning supplies. I have started to make my own cleaners because I’m trying to go less toxic. There are so many chemicals that are toxic and can disrupt our hormones and our children’s hormones. There are lots of recipes online. Getting organized is life changing!
I’m currently decluttering also,I have way too much stuff for my small space. I’m not a ‘minimalist’, I love my homey decor too much, but I’m definitely controlling what I have, and I agree about having a manageable home. I’m not bad mouthing anyone, but the trend of UA-camrs is to buy huge homes, problem with that is you fill those homes, I learned that. I’m all about keeping it manageable these days also.
To make your life easier in the Laundry room, flip your dryer door so it opens the opposite way. The doors are made to open either way. They already have pre drilled holes and hole plugs. It's just a couple of screws. Then when you transfer wet clothes you won't have the obstacle of the dryer door.
I have a suggestion for your beach towels. Since they’re seasonal and you probably don’t use them that much, I bet if you got a nice, big pretty basket they’d fit on top of the cabinet in your wash room. Then they’re out of site, but available.
Yes! Hang on to those old appliances because they sure don't make them like they used to!
I am always decluddeing and reorganizing in our home. I'm recently retired and my oldest daughter said, you will eventually get things like you want them and get bored. I truly don't ever think I will get bored. I'm loving this season I'm in and also enjoy crafting. Thank you for your inspiration. Never too old to quit learning. :)
It’s exciting to hear the happiness in your voice as you start to declutter your home and to reset it and for the goal you have for your home as well to simplify. ❄️ This will be a fun series to watch. ❄️

I really love your organizational skills and how you clear away your items in bins and just keep them organized. Also, you’re encouraging me to minimize the stuff that I have in my home and just to have the things that I use on a daily basis. ❤️ my washer and dryer are over 20 years old and they still work okay. I feel like people made older stuff a lot better than they make it now
Lauren I wash all of our socks in a garment bag & that saves me from the missing socks issue. It’s a game changer I am telling you. 🤣

Can't wait to c your decluttering videos. I have decluttered everything in my home . I lov it everything has a home. If we don't use it gets gone. U don't have to clean and pickup has much. When I need to get new things I look at it to c if it is going to be easy to clean. U you can learn less is more. U don't have to have all the shoes, clothes,pots and pans and etc. I just have 1 bottle of shampoo in my shower 😅. I lov being a minialist.

We have the same trash can and you are RIGHT! It gets so gross in all of the tiny nooks and crannies. We usually spray it down and hose it off in the back yard 😅😊
Fantastic declutter, thanks for filming while actually tossing the things and even taking out the trash as I also find this part so satisfying during declutter. I also can give me motivation as I struggle so much to discard magazines, mostly the fashion ones and even some nicer clothes stores catalogs/flyers 😅 And the hardest things of all to discard for me it's the clothes that can't be sold or donated, I never have a lot, but as I struggle so much I'm ending up having more than I though everytime. But that's one of the thing that almost no ones film in declutter videos 🥲
