      @Huawei King I don't know the perks of paying the membership. One guy I go to the gym with has the same THENX app as mine. Only difference is he pays for his & I don't. We traded phones & went through the app to see the difference. There was no difference. We had the same capabilities. So I don't know if there was something beyond the app (website/Facebook group/etc.), It also could have changed with the new software update they did this year. I'm almost 40 had 3 babies, couldn't do one push up, or pull up. I can now do 60 push ups without stopping, run a mile in the 15/16 boys age group, & do 15 unassisted pull ups ( maybe nothing to some people, but I was inactive, so it's an accomplishment for me). People can't keep up with me in the gym, & I get stopped all the time asking if I'm a cross fitter. I just laugh & say no better than cross fit, it's THENX. My husband is a big guy, & he laughed at the THENX workout. Told him, then let's see you do it. He got through one round & dropped out. Sorry this is so long & rambly, just saying whether you pay or do the free version you won't be disappointed.

    By far the best fitness channel. Nobody else can predict my errors I’m making with my form like you can. Ur coaching skills are perfect, and the production quality + focus of the videos are great. There’s no bullshit or cringey commentary, just pure good energy and information. I’m getting been into calisthenics this month and I’ve been learning a lot here.

    Really loving how he goes into detail when explaining unlike other videos where the guys just show you how to do it, but you're not sure if you're doing it properly cause they don't go into detail like this. I'm really glad my brother told me about this channel, I'm watching this at 2am lol. Kinda excited cause now I got a bunch of new workouts to do that seems way more effective

    Dear Chris, thank you so much for this video, as it (greatly) helped me to finally achieve my very FIRST pull up today after one month of trying, not only that, but I was able to do it again and again after the first time as well! It's just a matter of feeling the movement for once and then everything just rolls from there. But for the people who are still trying to do it, I have couple of tips that I found out along the way:
    - It really helps to do a FALSE GRIP and NOT grabbing the bar too tight, while rotating your wrists upward just a bit, this will help your elbows rotate above the bar.
    - The L-Sit Kick that Chris teaches in this video is also VITAL for this movement, the harder you kick, the higher you will go, thus the easier the movement gets.
    Again, thank you, ThenX, for all your content!

    Thank you so much for doing what you do!!! I have not attempted a bar muscle up in years. I’ve never had one before and yesterday I tried to do it with a resistance band and I couldn’t do it. But I watched this video and another one of your videos on muscle ups and I was able to do a few today with that same band, even after a hard workout!!! The magic button IS SO IMPORTANT, as well as the aggressive knees on the timing THANK YOU so much for bringing that in my life. 😭 Will keep working until I don’t need that band anymore! Goals is to make it look as graceful as yours 🙌🏾

    I would also love to find an affordable gym with decent bar equipment so that I could practice these things properly... I'm 6'2" and I struggle to find bars tall enough for me to do these movements in a conventional gym.

    If you guys are not this much trained you shouldn't do it with an L sit pull back. I kept trying that until i saw a friend doing it with his legs bent, and when i tried like that, i had my first clean muscle up, so a little tip, try to do it with your legs bent.

    • @iAmiLumi
      @iAmiLumi 5 років тому +1

      Rodeo is it cleaner if you don’t use the motion from your legs as help? I’m asking because I don’t swing my legs when doing muscle ups.

    • @williesamdavis503
      @williesamdavis503 5 років тому

      oColezz yes. But you won’t get max reps without the swing technique to help. I can do 5 no swing. Straight up and down.

    Ok... you've convinced me that I can do this @ 59. I've been working slowly to this goal but was stuck. I can see that it's mostly technique. I've read other comments below and downloaded the app. My goal was to be able to do one (1) by my 60th b'day... a scant 22 days away. This is a great video! Let's see if I can put what you're doing here to action.

      yes... I see improvement but still not able to do a muscle up. The 60th b'day has come and gone but, the goal is still attainable. It's just going to take more work. Thanks for asking!

    Chris, you should edit in a tracer graphic that follows the points of your body that you want people to understand the motion of. For example, the “C” motion of the muscle up of the shoulders can be a visual “C” edited in. Then some people may get the “ah-ha” moment you’re trying to project. In any case, your an outstanding teacher! 🤙
