Hello... I am greatful of you... Your tutorials are always clear and precise... I have a question though... I am learning AutoCAD... I had all my dimensions and leaders in annotative... I am finding it hard to have my drawings, in multiple viewports on a paper with different scales... When scaling, all annotative scales on the dimensions and leaders are showing... Help...
Hello Robin, thanks One waya is you put all your annotations and dimensions which you don't want in a seperate layer and off them Or create a seperate set of copy of the drawing and off the layer in model space Or the easiest way is after giving annotations and dimensions as seperate layer Go to layer panel and find the layer you want to hide, scroll the panel towards there will one option of hiding the layer only in layout/viewport That way the annotations or dimensions will be visible in model space but not in your viewport I will be making video on that, but it will take time, till than let me know if this helped or not Thanks, keep watching and sharing
@@skillingarchitects thank you... If you don't mind... So... When annotating... I had or liked my drawing to be in selected scales respectively.. Eg: 1:50 and 1:25... Knowing that when in layout, if I set the scale, the dimensions will automatically be presented in that scale selected... (Having in mind, I made multiple viewports on one layout page). Unfortunately for me... When I scaled the viewports to their respective intended scales, dimensions & leaders for both scales 1:25 and 1:50 is showing... Even when I only want... Say for eg: 1:50... What am I doing wrong...
For that either annotate in seperate layer For example of your scale is 1:100 use text height 200 to 250 mm and on that layer only in viewport not in model space Another way is you can directly annotate in layout/viewport but not inside the viewport do it outside Or send me a screenrecord or multiple screenshot of your issue @arpiyush21@gmail.com
there is a problem with my layout. Would you guide me what is the problem? My autocad units are centimeters and I have draw a rectangular simple plan 1148 cm*750 cm (I have draw with 1:1 scale). In my layout settings paper is A4 portrait. Printing scale is 1:1 and I have printing setting as layout. My layout scale is 1:100 which means I should have 7.5cm*11.48cm on paper after printing. But my printing results 10 times smaller than what it should be. And only after setting layout scale to 1:10. I have 1:100 scale on paper. I will be so thankful if you help me in this case.
