Also a good example of why bladed weapons like Swords & Axes deal Standard damage instead of Slash damage. Just because a weapon has a blade, doesn't mean the blade is necessarily sharp. Compare a butter-knife versus a razor-blade.
1 gravity kill today 16:38 don't think I've seen someone fall there yet. 1889 damage 55 gravity kills since march 9th, totaling 56k~ damage (counting 10k from Tragoth)

day 3 of backstabs but ill also include normal crits as a test because someone on the last vid suggested it Backstabs 10:17 Wizard could not run fast enough to escape 10:19 Blue meets the dame fate (chain backstab FTW) 14:04: Buttslam meets a giant sword Crits (parries/ Guard breaks) 06:00 host with a great shield meets a great knife (Guard break) Another quiet day for stabs with my count reaching 11 back stabs +1 crit. Should i continue recording crits or just stab with the booty please let me know
I love how that one guy was cruising through Volcano Manor with a Fire build. He’d do more damage to those snakes with a feather duster. I reckon you should get in some crucible incantation practice before getting the wings in the dlc. I’ve been loving that shoulder charge lately, even if it whiffs way too much. It’s too funny when it lands. Combos with the dragon claw so well. Catch ya on the next one!
So are dual daggers. Remember that one time you did a video on them and were surprised that they can melt a health bar? Plus it would add more build variety on the channel. Just my opinion. Always entertained by you kindly beating up tarnished.
I appreciate seeing Vacuum Slice get some love. It's one step closer to the underrated Gargoyle's Blackblade Greatsword. Neither Vacuum Slice nor Corpse Wax Cutter (on the Blackblade) get any Hyper-Armor. But they both make up for that by dealing 24 stance damage, or roughly an uncharged-Colossal-R2 worth of poise damage. They both have surprisingly good tracking (significantly better tracking than Taker's Flames). And the projectile is almost 2-Dimensional-Thin, which makes it very difficult to see when it's flying at you, which makes it particularly hard to dodge. Use it like a bulkier/stronger Storm Blade to roll catch or finish low-health opponents, not at point-blank range. But if you wanted to be weird it does work with Endure on a soft-swap. EDIT: Oh yea, and I forgot to mention that both Vacuum Slice and Corpse Wax Cutter both work very well with Free-Aiming. You can fire them at an upward angle to headshot people hiding behind short walls. And both AoW's also cleave/pierce through enemies, doing full damage to everything they touch. Both AoW are basically just ranged R2's.
Loved this showcase. A beautiful representation of the versatility and utility this greatsword has. Many great ashes of war to use to cover its weaknesses and strengthen its advantages. The best colossal weapon imo.
i wouldn't mind seeing the serpent bone blade in some invasions. been using that in some pve and when optimized the damage is insane. double slash with the multihit talismans and the helm and talisman for damage boost on poison procs can absolutely dissolve bosses so i would love to see how it does in pvp.
i swear @ChaseTheBro has actually never died during an invasion - literally only seen him die trying to get a stonesword key in soifra river during PvE
Just in case people didn't know already - Thops barrier is perfect for stars of ruin spammers and carian retaliation works on the nebula ash of war before it explodes
You didn't showcase the Watchdog Greatsword I think... I'd love to see you do that. My favorite at the moment. Crazy powerful, and definitely the size of a colossal sword.
Please do a video on Troll's Golden Sword. It's my favorite colossal and has that unique downward slam R2 that's just great for roll catching. It also pairs well with giant hunt as you can always land the R2 if giant hunt connects.
Always happy to see a Chase video on my feed :) Just wondering, have you ever tried doing lower level PvP? I feel like the reduced stat points could lead to some very specified builds!
I have a 168rl build 54str + 50int + royal greatsword= 977dmg (non buffed!) Armor gets me 89 poise, very fun in invasions. No one expects you plunging in their faces and then getting one shot after by the frostblast + the standard moveset of the colossal sword is peak Using only magic shrouding test nets me around 1030 ar Very fun in invasions
Hey, if you want to get the meme over with, you can use the St. Trina's Torch in a Sleep/Frost build to reset Frost with its flames and continue to apply Sleep status. Give it a thought; I myself am trying to make it work it.
Try the staff of the avatar sometime, I've noticed that there's no video on it. I believe it has the highest AR in the game, at a high level it does anyway, that I've seen. It does have split damage with some holy, but it's by far mostly physical damage. Anytime you need strike damage it's amazing. The ash of War is strike and holy damage as well, super powerful and a good AOE
Also, Rosus' axe works better for a faith leaning faith/int necromancer build. (basically setup w/e rancor, then chase with melee or spell combo) And from other content creators that I've seen, use it effectively. They set it up as a defensive option when people want to jump on you or stay and swing on the spot. It's basically a necromancer's build *get off me* tool
And what, ADZACTLY IS A NECROMANCER BUILD YOU MIGHT ASK!??!?!? *You lean dex & faith while just getting the strength & intellect you need to cast all the deathbird and dead stuff in the game* , lean more faith for caster builds and melee stats for death knights
I dont know why, i shouldnt ask why, im not aure why, but the bullet type of L2's scale with a different property of the weapons, and for vacuum slice the best GS is the trolls golden sword. Big damage difference
Yeah, I’ve heard it’s because certain weapons have either a strong heavy or weak heavy scaling for bullet ashes of war. I’m not sure how great the differences in terms of damage but I do know the great sword is one of the weak bullet scaling ones.
Out of curiosity, do you keep any clips where you LOSE fights? I'd love to see a video that's just you taking various Ls (if you even are capable of losing anymore), to remind us that it's okay to lose a fight once in a while.
losing a fight is no big deal at all, you are fighting out numbered never let that bother you! I tend do die far less when im just playing the game as opposed to streaming though. Whenever you stream you have friends and viewers who all have a lot of experience in the game set up organized 3v1 teams trying to fight you! this makes for much more challenging battles. Expect lots of those with the release of the dlc!
Easy sub. Super fun watch. Have you played Lord of the fallen and if so how do you compare the invasions in that to this? LOTF was my first Soulslike and I'm told that its basically the wish version of ER lol
I wonder if Chase is legitimately color-blind or has peripheral-vision-impairment, or if they just tunnel-vision/hyper-focus so hard they don't notice things. Sure getting jump-scared by a surprise Blue, or a Host looking like they're Furled-colored when surrounded by tons of yellow-orange lava are sensible. But for as Eagle-Eyed as Chase is with PVP-combat, they sure seem to make a lot of strange visually-based mistakes. It'd be like if an Ace Fighter Pilot was constantly running Red Lights and Stop Signs because they didn't notice them. Like how can someone be so good at seeing tiny fast-moving objects and yet so bad at seeing other far more obvious things?! lol It's not just an act to make the videos seem more dynamic is it? Every Invasion-enjoyer does seem to have a hidden crazy/dark side to them that leaks out on occasion, even if they seem like sane people at first glance. (Which is one reason Lost is pleasant, he just plops all the crazy right in the viewer's laps, and doesn't try to hide it at all lol.)
“That thing was too big to be called a sword.
Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron.”
*That thing was too powerful to be called a torch. Too strong, too thick, too fast, and too purple, it was more like a deadly weapon of war*
Also a good example of why bladed weapons like Swords & Axes deal Standard damage instead of Slash damage. Just because a weapon has a blade, doesn't mean the blade is necessarily sharp. Compare a butter-knife versus a razor-blade.
"I like regurgitating quotes like a f@ggot sheep"
15:26 running the gauntlet of arrows into accidentally poking the host to death is one of the funnier clips i've seen you share lolll
1 gravity kill today
16:38 don't think I've seen someone fall there yet. 1889 damage
55 gravity kills since march 9th, totaling 56k~ damage (counting 10k from Tragoth)

Chase: now's my chance!
Zombie: Yes! our chance!!!
chase yelling his attack like an anime character only to get interrupted midway through got me rolling XD @12:30
Yes! That was such a perfect moment! XD
“Yo what’s up guys. 🔄Chase🔄The🔄Bro🔄Here”

Thank you for your service it was a big one this time
Chase needs to start pinning these tbh
You’re a wizard Harry
Big sword makes my sword big

St. Trina's Torch is an incredible invasion weapon
Yes
factual information
Some would say it’s slept on
The best
Chase and his fake accounts 😂
The poor blue trying to hit Chase with the bow must be very frustrated. I've reviewed it some 6 or 7 times and can't stop laughing.
These invasions have been sponsored by Big Bonk. The biggest Bonks around, perfect for trades.
Every time you are confused by the host glowing, it's because they have their lanterns on.
Ahhh the Greatsword, one among the best spears in the game.
Can't wait for the DLC to drop COALASSAL TRORCHES
Colossal spelling mistake
Bro so excited he couldn’t even spell
I was sleeping @@theus__
all jokes aside, that would actually be pretty sick. Just give it a giant flamethrower attack or something and make it actually do damage.
I want a colossal colossal :3
i'm a simple guy. i see colossal swords and i'm happy.
day 3 of backstabs but ill also include normal crits as a test because someone on the last vid suggested it
Backstabs
10:17 Wizard could not run fast enough to escape
10:19 Blue meets the dame fate (chain backstab FTW)
14:04: Buttslam meets a giant sword
Crits (parries/ Guard breaks)
06:00 host with a great shield meets a great knife (Guard break)
Another quiet day for stabs with my count reaching 11 back stabs +1 crit. Should i continue recording crits or just stab with the booty please let me know
I vote for crit inclusion
Yes crit inclusion although I was the guy that suggested it last time. Nice to tap all the time stamps and see them all
I love how that one guy was cruising through Volcano Manor with a Fire build. He’d do more damage to those snakes with a feather duster.

So satisfying seeing you chase down those wizards....show them no mercy! 9:52
So are dual daggers. Remember that one time you did a video on them and were surprised that they can melt a health bar? Plus it would add more build variety on the channel. Just my opinion. Always entertained by you kindly beating up tarnished.
At this point chase should be a boss in the dlc
Ringed city is that you?
A boss? The boss.
He become npc invader with the different build
Hahahahahahaha facts
16:00 That host was Sergeant Tacos, one member of the bloodhound duo from a few videos ago.
Your videos are always a highlight of my day. Keep up the good work🙏🏾
Always a pleasure to watch. You just keep getting better somehow
Ahhhh, just what I needed for my insomnia... A chasethebro video haha.
I know it's silly but I've really been wanting to see more Death's Poker, any chance we could get some more of that poker action?
Magic weapon witch coming right up!
Watch it be tomorrow's video now haha
bro actually replied to a comment?!@@ChaseTheBro
its been a while since you've shown off the iron jar aromatic, it would be cool to see some more of it!
the parkour pro wizard was hilarious
Ayoo 😂 Chase with the BIG, HEAVY, GIRTHY greatswords, ready for some CROUCH POKES 😏😏😏
I appreciate seeing Vacuum Slice get some love. It's one step closer to the underrated Gargoyle's Blackblade Greatsword. Neither Vacuum Slice nor Corpse Wax Cutter (on the Blackblade) get any Hyper-Armor.

I love the colossal swords. I wish the troll knight's sword was more viable for strength-int builds
@Chase casually complementing and giving suggestions on improvements for a hosts cosplays is what makes him the truest bro.
10:16 that was way funnier than it should it have been lol
black knife showcase has also an amazing invasion weapon
Loved this showcase. A beautiful representation of the versatility and utility this greatsword has. Many great ashes of war to use to cover its weaknesses and strengthen its advantages. The best colossal weapon imo.
You should do dual colossal swords. that could be fun
The amount of times you get stars shower is hilarious and feels like im re watching a older episode.
The massive hyperarmor on running R2s from the St. Trina’s Torch makes it a viable alternative to other hyperarmor setups
i wouldn't mind seeing the serpent bone blade in some invasions. been using that in some pve and when optimized the damage is insane. double slash with the multihit talismans and the helm and talisman for damage boost on poison procs can absolutely dissolve bosses so i would love to see how it does in pvp.
Can't wait for you to use all new dlc weapons 🤩 also new locations
Thanks for putting out such great videos all the time. I get to take a break from my school work and watch such a skillfull performance.
No matter what kind of day you've had a good ole chase the bro upload will always lift spirits thank you for what you do!
hell yeah love you bro
After all I’ve seen of the comments over the years, this man has to have the best st Trina’s torch video known to man
i swear @ChaseTheBro has actually never died during an invasion - literally only seen him die trying to get a stonesword key in soifra river during PvE
i use the same drip as you usually, but i also like to add the veterans helm to it, it fits so perfectly and has really good poise and defense
te quiero mucho CHASETHEBRO
I thought you were gonna use different colossal weapons but i do love your content. Love to see thar though. Especially seeing you use the black blade
Haven’t seen this many wizards in a while.
Just in case people didn't know already - Thops barrier is perfect for stars of ruin spammers and carian retaliation works on the nebula ash of war before it explodes

My favorite! Currently running with guts greatsword with giant hunt and it's easy mode. Everyone staggers so easily.
"Don't run from destiny," 😂😂😂😂😂
Chilling Mist into Flaming Strike or Flame of Redmanes. So strong, Fire and Ice, Str or Str/Int build, try it out; it's actually insane !
ive never been able to catch Chase stream so i don't think ive ever seen him actually die
It might be a bit gimmicky, but trying to get a kill with death-blight could be fun? If not then no worries, I’ll enjoy any video you make :)
Big bonk sword + Chase = Fun times
You know I’m surprised no one has done destined death+ deathblight. I know deathblight isn’t great but the concept is pretty cool.
Salamander man caught a body 😂
Chase YOU are an incredible invasion weapon
Always happy to see a Chase video on my feed :) Just wondering, have you ever tried doing lower level PvP? I feel like the reduced stat points could lead to some very specified builds!
I have a 168rl build

Dual wielding Colosal swords
Fev. sword ❤ thanks, Chase
Chase + pillar is the ultimate team
"LiL_JhSins" 😂😂💀💀
I was today years old when i learned that you can out vacuum slice on a colossal
We haven’t gotten a spell video in a while👀👀👀
Ok, subscribed - also I challenge you to use death blight in pvp! (Fia's mist and closed spaces)
Try the staff of the avatar sometime, I've noticed that there's no video on it. I believe it has the highest AR in the game, at a high level it does anyway, that I've seen. Been watching since claymore ds3, wish you nothing but the best❤
Can I get a tanky endure shield hero invasion video using the different unique ashes of war with only shields and some parries in there
You should try powerstanced colassal!
I don't know how viable it would be but what about a build focused around the digger sorceries?
Chase the Glasses
Also, Rosus' axe works better for a faith leaning faith/int necromancer build. (basically setup w/e rancor, then chase with melee or spell combo)

*You lean dex & faith while just getting the strength & intellect you need to cast all the deathbird and dead stuff in the game* , lean more faith for caster builds and melee stats for death knights
Perfect video to watch while taking a huge dump, thanks Chase!
I'm the guy that super-chatted "use St. Trina's Torch" in Oroboro's stream the other day. I know you saw it, Chase. You were there.
Can’t go wrong with a chilling mist greatsword
Please do a golden order seal and volcano manor staff hybrid spell/incantation build.
I dont know why, i shouldnt ask why, im not aure why, but the bullet type of L2's scale with a different property of the weapons, and for vacuum slice the best GS is the trolls golden sword. Big damage difference

8:18 dragon slayer? he was going for the R O U N D
I forget if you've used Cragblade on this, it's pretty absurd tbh
Is this a Colossal Sword video or a Greatsword video?
The dragon slayer colossal sword will be loved and appreciated for eons 💯
I need a sleep status colossal weapon in the dlc asap
The reason why the host sometimes looks like a phantom is due to the lantern I'm pretty sure
Hey Chase, will you be doing another Poison Papi build soon?
vacum slice has sursisingly long range
Out of curiosity, do you keep any clips where you LOSE fights? I'd love to see a video that's just you taking various Ls (if you even are capable of losing anymore), to remind us that it's okay to lose a fight once in a while.
You'll have to wait for the streams when the dlc drops

this is almost as big of a bonk as st trinas torch
Nights Calvary theme! Please.
I need a black flame build 😅
I wonder if Chase is legitimately color-blind or has peripheral-vision-impairment, or if they just tunnel-vision/hyper-focus so hard they don't notice things. Have you ever tried to invade with mogh’s rune?
