This is such a good instructional video and doesn't complicated anything, and yet, I already know that I would mess up and mine wouldn't even come out as nicely as this one!
Super excited to try this out! I just made my first bralette from my measurements and since I enjoy learning to make my own clothes, I naturally started nosing around bra making. I think this will get me on good footing when I begin drafting my own. Thanks and God bless
Started drafting this today and I think I found an error. Kim says to use 1/4 of your bust measurement then use 1/2 of your chest measurement. I think she meant 1/4 of your chest measurement. The 1/2 chest measurement would extend past the 1/4 bust-line, so you won’t be able to create a curve for the arm. Just a quick note of something I noticed while drafting.
This is a very detailed tutorial on drafting and stitching of bra.You're so right,the seam allowance should be about 1/4" maximum around the wires,to enable a very relaxed stitch around the curves.I never taught,i could use scuba fabrics to make the bra straps.You might want to check Liz sews,she has detailed tutorials on bra making and much more for more in-depth tutorials so that you can teach us more...🤣😊.Thank you Kimmy for the upload...😍

Wish I had seen this a month ago lol. Was going to make a bra top for my birthday outfit but could NAWT figure out the formula for the perfect bra for my body size and boobs. Can’t wait to try this now although I haven’t been sewing in weeks. Need to get back inspired again (and maybe just clean up my room cause it’s a hot mess lol

I'm so excited to try this. It would be my first attempt to make any sewing... and I'm going to be trying this as a way to make myself a comfortable bra to wear daily and using a wired-bra really makes me uncomfortable. Has anyone ever tried to make it without the wire? Does the breast sit well in the piece without it? Thanks a lot!

thank you so much for making this! i wanted to make my own bra as i am very skinny and my band size is 26. NO WHERE i mean no where sells that size😣it’s such a pain. when i try to get them made by tailors ect it’s way to expensive around 3x the price of normal bras, it’s ridiculous! i wanted to make my own so hopefully it is cheaper and actually fits me!

Hi. Is there a possibility to make a bra without the underwire? I cant find it where i live and shipping costs a lot . I've been planning to make my own bras from stretch fabrics but the underwire is spoiling my plans. I so want to make my own bras. Im small in size. Can i omit the underwire?

Hi, nice video! However, at 5.46, where you added the darts, you said you added 0.75 inches at the top and bottom but it actually shows you adding 0.5 inches at the bottom. This could be confusing and misleading. Could you please clarify?
