    I usually save half a teaspoon of yogurt which acts as the innoculum and add it to freshly boiled lukewarm milk and leave it overnight 😊

    Sometimes instead of using water to mix with the yogurt powder I use oat milk. Just use one of the long life milk cartons at room temperature to mix with the yogurt powder.
    It has a nice flavour, I like the blueberry yogurt packet.

      @@homespabeautyis it possible to use full fat milk to mix the yogurt powder? I’m looking to make the thickest yogurt possible. I make soaps with it too. The best yogurt I ever had came from Aldi. It is 9% and tasted just like lemon cheesecake. They don’t have it anymore 😢

    once the yogurt is set, you can save a lil and add to the new milk as a starter and set the yogurt ,it’s just a box to keep the milk warm for long hours- we can set the yogurt in a warm oven too

    The problem is the Easiyo sachets cost double the store bought yogurt of the same amount in our country so it doesn't make sense to do it at all. It truly is not worth the time and money.

      That makes sense if they’re not value for money. I used to get a good deal on them locally but not seen them in store since lockdown!

    "The Range" home and garden group sell them along with other JML and QVC etc products, I bought a refill not realising you need the container set so I've just been back to get the machine / containers. Glad to see they work, I am guessing that sometimes the live bacteria / culture in the mix doesn't activate, hence the odd failures? Nice review, many thanks thumbs up!

      That’s where I found some coconut & it was a bargain! Yes I think you’re right with the activation & I wonder if you get the occasional dodgy batch? Worth it for when it works though 👍🏻 We’ll keep The Range as our secret bargain shop 😂

    I got 2 black yogurt maker at the moment. I am taking in turn of make my yogurt maker. I make my home made yogurt one night be ready for the next day then I put it in the fridge to chilled so I have it for through the day.

      @@homespabeauty I always liked the Julia Child method when presenting recipes in video: the mistakes, mishaps, flubs and failures are just as important, if not more so, than the successes!
      Mistakes are fantastic teaching and learning opportunities!

    Tried lowered sugar vanilla. It's OK. Rather store bought and about same price. Only plus I see is having it on standby in the cupboard.

      Good to know thanks. The coconut and the lemon/ginger are my absolute favourites & feel more like a dessert but I agree that some are very similar to what you can buy conveniently already 👍🏻

    Hello from Australia.
    I mix my yogurt with dried fruit &
    nuts just to make it a little crunchy,
    and i also make soft cheeze by letting the whay drip out of the yogurt overnight. Real easy.

      Sometimes i think the best cooks are Aussies. We tend to have fried bake, and on weekends bbq. Come for a holiday and you will see what i mean.

    I do this as well but i allso make cheese and mix fruit in it as well as musle, a mix of nuts and thats part of my breakfast.

      Go by those instructions & see how you get on. Sometimes it’s perfect & other times you learn the little tricks to get a better result 👍🏻

      @@homespabeauty True. I've had a couple of times when my yoghurt hasn't set, so I repeated the boiling process and it worked out ok. Otherwise I just turn the non-setting liquid into a coconut or rhubarb smoothie ;-)

      Hello! It’s says in the instructions that it’ll only work with the EasiYo & I’ve never tried another method. I don’t think the EasiYo makers are difficult to find so its worth checking out the right way to make their packets 👍🏻

      The yogurt really is just a steaming contraption just got make sure you use something similar

      The yogurt maker is basically a flask. It keeps heat in.
      I have not tried it myself mind. A neighbor gave me the kit today.

      I’d try contacting them directly as they always say you need their yoghurt maker specifically to get a result. It talks about filling to levels on the maker rather than quantities. If you are successful, do share! 👍🏻

      @@homespabeauty 1st trial fail I put around 1L water. 2nd round 700ml and add a teaspoon of store bought yogurt on each small jar and it turned out perfectly. I used pensonic yogurt maker with 6 small jar.

    I dont think it is supposed to be filled that high with hot water, it is supposed to only stay in the bottom? - I would assume (from research) that it kills quite some of the bacteria if the hot/boiling water touches the the milk.

      ​@@TheDarkAnoriel you're absolutely right, I checked and the easiyo website says to add hot water to the top of the red plastic insert (half full), not right to the top of the jar. This is probably why her yoghurt doesn't set sometimes.

    My packets just say tap water you say boiled water and let cool .I have just bought ten packets from QVC.Confused.

      They might have changed their instructions? I've been following this method for years and it still works for me but go with their recommendation to be safe :)

    I have this yogurt maker, it's great but the sachets... I can not find sugar free ones, neither full fat ones. All sachets I find are low fat and contain sugar, even the plain flavour ones. But yes its very easy to make yogurt.

      Have you tried directly ordering from Easiyo online? I find the prices for their spare containers much more reasonable than eBay or Amazon and the range of sachets much wider on their website.

      you dont need the sachets, theire actually more expensive too. you can just use boiled milk and some yoghurt from a previous batch or store bough (sugar free). It needs to have at least two weeks until the expiry date to still have enough live bacteria though :) you can also use bacteria you can buy. I believe even the capsules work too ive read when i googled it.

    Mine always comes out liquidy, not thick. The last one I made is elastic like. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

      It might not be you, it could be a batch issue (I’ve had that). You might find it useful to message them directly? A few times I’ve left it to set longer than usual & it’s worked in the end but there have been a few that just wouldn’t set for no obvious reason.

      I think you need the EasiYo maker & mix together or it might not work. I’ve never tried anything different but it could be worth investigating 👍🏻

    I find it just so much easier to put the powder in Fort, and then fill it with water and then whisk it.

      Whenever I do it that way I end up with clumps but that’s because of the instructions to shake it. Never knew you could whisk it! If it works for you then I’ll give it a go 👍🏻

      @@homespabeauty It will definitely start out lumpy, as with any powdered product hitting a liquid, but the more you whisk, the more smooth and runny the Easiyo mixture gets.

    Hi, i have been making easiyo yoghurt for a long time using the black yoghurt maker. There are really times especially these past weeks that my yoghurt will set but the consistency isn't that smooth and thick like the usual yoghurt. Sometimes its lumpy. I dont know what's wrong. I'm very particular into the temperature and the cleanliness of the things i used while making it.

      It’s happened to me when it wouldn’t set & when you know it’s not anything you’ve don’t differently, I tend to think it’s a batch issue. Maybe worth contacting them?

    how many ml or cups of water per pouch? i dont have that easiyo yogurt maker but my instant pot cooker has that option to make yogurt

      I’ve dug out a sachet & they don’t specify mls, it’s focused on filling up the yoghurt maker to the lines once the powder is in. It does say it’s a 1kg yoghurt maker, so it’ll be under 1litre-maybe 800mls or so if you account for the yoghurt powder? Just a guess sorry 👍🏻

    Hi, I got a question, was the water you mixed with the powder chlorinated tap water? I tried the first time, but it didn't set to yoghurt. I'm not sure maybe because I used chlorinated water, or I left it in a place a bit too cold.

      That’s interesting as I filter my water but it’s also been pre-boiled & cooled. There have been times when it didn’t set & there wasn’t a clear reason so I put it down to the batch or a variable I didn’t figure out. Did you use pre-boiled & cooled water?

      Yes I have & it did work. Maybe you’re right about the temperature being too cold where you placed it. I believe the brand website has a help page if you think there would be extra help there? It’s annoying when it doesn’t set!
