I have a couple of these in 12" and one 14", along with about 6 or 7 first gen MacBooks, a Blueberry iBook, and a very nearly pristine Indigo iBook. And I also still have 2 PowerBook 3400's, 3 PowerBook 1400's, and a Duo 280C. Maybe I should open a museum...😂😉
@@nelizmastr Thanks! I also have a 5300 that had a battery explode in it, not sure I still have the power supply. The Duo boots to a sad Mac. I still have a full set of OS 7 floppy disks for it, but the floppy drive and docking station have been lost, so no way to reinstall the OS, despite actually HAVING it. I put Ubuntu on two of the MacBooks and those were my main laptops for a couple of years. Even had a monthly column called Everyday Ubuntu in Full Circle Magazine for over four years, using those MacBooks to do my column for about half that time.
There are plenty of 3rd party adapters for sale on the internet. Find the right one by seeing which iBook you have, it should have a model number starting with an A (i.e. A1055).
Yep, and even with h264ify it won't work properly in a browser. Downloading through 3rd party software and viewing directly through VLC works well, up to 720p.

Lol, I still use mine. For writing.
A very nice consumer computer for the time.
Certainly was. Especially the 14” since it’s overall a much chunkier device that’s more comfortable to use at a desk.
Great video on this 2005 iBook!😊
have you ever tried to upgrade the Vram? the PC versions had 64mb so swap the 32 for a 64 or 128 chip?
I don't have the skills or means to do that unfortunately.
@@nelizmastr I just got one of these things and I might try it.
