    Hi Penny, this is a lovely way to glam up a plain tray. It’s really effective. Thank you for sharing.
    One question please: do you have to sand the tray before adding the resin, or does it stick to the shiny surface without sanding?

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  3 роки тому

      You need to make sure the surface is clean and free of oils, but otherwise, no sanding is necessary.

    Love your creation! Thank you. One suggestion (to reduce your apron problems): why don't you get a turntable?

    If I use a plastic tray should I sand it first before I pour any reason? Thank you for your help!

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  5 років тому

      You shouldn't need to do that as long as it's clean.

    All is well that ends well! The result is just marvelous! Thanks.
    I would like to know if acrylic colors are OK to get this result??

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  5 років тому

      Using acrylic paints to color resin can be tricky. I talk more about it in this article: www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/how-to-color-clear-epoxy-resin/

    Very cool.
    After you squeeze out the resin from each cup, did you manipulate it at all before it cured? Or does is spread so interestingly on it’s own?

    i bought pearl paint, thought of mixing with resin instead of pigment, but i guess best would be pearl pigment ... if i shall not put clear resin i guess surface still be smooth ? also suggestions how to remove scratches without second layer ? lets say im using smallest like 1000 sandpaper, and there are marks on a plasticky surface, how should i remove it to make it clear again ?

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  6 років тому

      We have pearl powder pigment in our store here: shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/products/pearl-powder-colorant

      Keep sanding the surface, but try going up to a 2000 grit (or higher) sandpaper. If it still isn't shiny enough for you, we have some polishing options in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Wm89lAqDCqo/v-deo.html

    Sweetie does this cure hard or soft? Overtime does it deteriorate in anyway? Do you have any answers as to how thick you can pour? Safely anyway?

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  6 років тому +6

      How hard or soft a resin cures depends on the resin itself. The Resin Obsession super clear resin used in this video cures quite hard. You can find it in our store here: shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession It does not deteriorate over time assuming it is well cared for. How thick you can pour a resin also depends on the resin itself. The manufacturer should be able to give you specific instructions.

    Very pretty! Does this end up being pretty heavy? Also, after its cured and hard, does the resin part stick well to the tray or do you have to glue it down to the tray?

    • @ResinObsession
      @ResinObsession  7 років тому +1

      Provided the tray surface is clean when you start, the resin will adhere without any problems. It does add some weight to the tray, but not enough that I think it makes it that much heavier.
