I experimented cooking a frozen & room temperature Wagyu before....didn’t notice any difference too unless u want to preseason your steak with herbs/spices for a couple of hours
I have had excellent results with ribeye roasts and New York strip roasts vacuum packed and kept in a deep freeze for months. It makes it easier to save money when you can buy a whole one and cut it in half to repack one half for the deep freeze!
I also have a Weber and I have to grill eight steaks tonight all at the same time. Do I just close the lid and grill them for three minutes on each side at 600°?
These are really fun videos! I've been wondering if you'd consider these with a blind taste testing approach. Kinda like "The Pepsi Challenge," where people drank a Coke & a Pepsi without knowing which was which and had to tell which they liked better. Many folks were surprised by their answers, and the blind approach didn't allow their preconceived notions to get in the way of how they judged the flavor! If your wife selects selects the steaks and only reveals which was which after the taste testing & judgment, that could add an element of surprise and fun!
The last time I did a blind folded test, my video got a strike from UA-cam for being part of the Bird Box challenge. I was tasting different kinds of mayo!
From someone who went to culinary school. Fresh vs frozen is just to get you to pay more. Scientifically nothing changes. The fat content, carb count, nothing. Go frozen if you wanna save money and keep it longer
Those steaks both look good Jared! Another experiment might be how many times can you thaw and refreeze steak or any other protein before it breaks down too much. Have a great weekend brother!
Haven’t you done frozen one directly into the flame without thawing though? Remember that one was good too. I should pack up my freezer with meets right now lol.

If freezing breaks down the muscle, then that is a great argument for using the freezer to tenderize tough cuts of meat.

I've always felt frozen steaks seem tougher. I have to test this myself. Great vid!

Greetings from Croatia and thank you for your interesting videos.
I'd like to know, how long did you keep it in a freezer? Thanks.
This was in the freezer for a day or two so it wasn't that long but more than enough for it to be frozen solid.
@@BBQandBottles Thank you for your reply, Sir. :)

Solid idea Pickles. Have a great weekend my man.
It's called a whole beef, or half of beef. I come from a rancher family. Enjoyed the video!
Think vacuum sealing makes a difference?
For sure

You should do Picanha, Churrasco, or skirt steak =D
T bones are one of my favorite . But if its beef I love it . Bacon is my favorite part of the pig. Throw in some eggs and cheese I'm good.😊
This video definitely has big dig energy.
So happy that you are honestly saying frozen is fine. Too many meat snobs out there.
This man sounds exactly the same as Elliot in Breaking Bad
Can anyone else see the man on the steak at 6:50
U should do pulled pork
We’ve done a few of those videos. Here’s our most popular one. ua-cam.com/video/pYBPYcXF3ko/v-deo.html
