This maze was sick in person. One of the most psychedelic but creepiest mazes I experienced. I do kinda wanna see the Orlando version since that looks pretty stacked…

Honestly though- I went through it two days ago- all the mazes and houses we amazingly put together and absolutely horrifying! And don't get me started on the scare zones!

Ah yes, my favorite horror character, hit musician The Weeknd.
Honestly I love it I hope they do more projects with musicians it’s a very interesting medium
This is their fourth one i believe
They did one with Slash, Alice Cooper, and Ozzy/Black Sabbath
They actually had in the past. One I would love to see even though it will probably never happen is one based on Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

This was definitely one of my favorite mazes at Horror Nights. Brilliant use of The Weeknd's music, music videos/concepts and it was all around perfectly executed!!!
I liked this one and La Llorona those 2 in my opinion were the best ones but I’d say The Weekend edges La Llorona out by just a bit

I went here yesterday with my family, honestly the coolest attraction there. It was like a fever dream being jump-scared while his music was playing. Would recommend.
This gives off extreme 80s horror movie vibes and that makes me think a Return of the Living Dead, Fright Night, or even a Lost Boys house would be awesome.
I was wondering why the weekend of all people would have a house, but after listening to the album this house is based on, I see why. Lots of horror/ slasher elements in it
It's definitely a weird idea on the surface but generally one of the best rated houses.

The plastic surgery portion of the maze was so good and I wish they did that the whole time instead of doing the weird lame lizard thing. Honestly the idea that these plastic surgery people kidnap you to do surgery on you is way creepier than the deformed lizard stuff

Oh! My gosh! The Weeknd is so CREATIVE and GENIUS! His collaboration with universal studio using his songs for each venue inside the horror night maze is just INSANE! No wonder it is LONG que it is worth going

Video doesn’t encompass how demented psychedelic and really dream state like it was, the hallway room with the curtains tripped me out and the blinding lights room quite literally made me disassociated only way I can describe it as possibly some sort of fever dream. 10/10
It was really good, I love that halls weren’t left empty and it felt like it was completed.

I know why there where 3 different types of scares.
First type : Past Self
Second type : Injured self
Third type : After his injury heals
This Maze was great didn't expect to be so great but God did it change my mind probably my 2nd favorite with la Llorona being first

Guys, the real hero is the cameraman. The guy didn’t even scream or react for once, and he did a solid job at keeping calm. I gotta learn that.
tbh, I like the Orlando park’s version of the Blinding Lights hallway, where it’s just the instrumental part at the beginning of the song playing as you walk through the mirrored hallway.
This house was more amazing to look at than scary. This house was so well put together. I went to the Orlando house and I loved it. I wonder how Abel liked his house

My god! I went last night and this maze was amazing! It left me feeling like i was trying to escape earth and flee to another safe planet idk how to explain it but this was such a visual maze you need to go on this one guys the way the music mixes with the haunted beats was beautiful
I actually went to Halloween Horror Nights this year and the Weeknd's haunted house rates in my top three attractions there. Ever since visiting it I've become obsessed with his music!
Jesus christ the people in these comments. I don't listen to the Weeknd, and as a big horror fan myself, I thought this was a really good maze. Creative, spooky, fun, everything a maze should be. Universal and The Weeknd did a good job, definitely one of the the better mazes this year.

@@Uncle_Ruckus_ His music and videos are massively influenced by horror and cinema in general, even in the moments that seem least likely - the guy is a huge horror fan and has been throwing lots of homages and explorations of the genre into his work from the very beginning. If you watch the music videos from his last two albums in order (i'll post below if you're interested) you'll see it gets relatively dark, both in a thematic sense with themes of addiction and abuse, but also literally, as a lot of supernatural stuff goes on, since the albums are connected with a story involving the afterlife, cycles of trauma and death

the Snowchild video is technically a prequel that recaps the story over his discography so far and how he ends up in Vegas at the start of the After Hours album storyline, but is literally happening right after he dies during Until I Bleed Out and has a flashback of his life thus far and realises he's trapped in an endless cycle of trauma in purgatory that takes the form of Vegas
After that comes the latest album, Dawn FM, which is a direct sequel and takes place entirely in the afterlife after he attempts to move from purgatory onto heaven (or hell even; anything to escape the vegas purgatory torture). The new afterlife in Dawn is represented in the form of a nightclub with a radio station hosted by Jim Carrey, where songs that represent experiences when alive, both good and bad, play on loop to make him think about his past misdeeds and regrets as a cleansing experience. It's also very horror inspired in a more ethereal way. The Dawn FM video sequence goes as follows, continuing from where AH leaves off:

I thought it looked.more like they were forcibly trying to steal his imagination and creativity. Looking at the machine, the electricity is flowing OUT OF his head, not to his head. And on the screens, you can see various clips from his work. Looks like his imagination was too much for the machine to capture and it goes haywire and his imagination becomes real, hence at the end, he is no longer connected to the machine.
I wonder why Universal doesn't do more mazes based on horror video games. After a Weeknd maze, it should not be out of the question.

After years of being Platinum Pass holders, my sister and I finally made it to Halloween Horror Nights for the first time last year. She was scared out of her wits for the most part but I enjoyed it and we had a good time. We ended up only doing 2 of the mazes (The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare and Universal Monsters: Legends Collide) since all of them had pretty high wait times (most were at around the 2 hour mark by around 8:00 PM or so and I was not going to wait in a line longer than 90 minutes). While Universal Monsters: Legends Collide gave us the most scares, The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare was my favorite. I loved the music and the ambiance of the whole experience.

Damn when I went they didn’t have that many scare actors, it was still nice though it seemed more like a Museum without that many scares
The staffing changes hour by hour and minute by minute. We missed the main scene in La Llorona because the girl being eaten was on break or something.

I’m sorry but this maze was LAME, I go to HHN for Halloween and spooky vibes, not a concert of a pop artist, they could of put something actually scary like the exorcist or shining instead, musicians should stick to music
I don't know, I thought it was one of the better mazes, not the scariest but one of the most creative. 🤷
I used to think so too, so that's fair. But I came to learn his music videos actually follow a horror-esque storyline that is quite close to this, sans the reptiles at the end. So I watched a compilation. Pretty creepy stuff and well-crafted storytelling, even cinematic. So, this isn't a random house for a pop artist, it fits in if you see his videos.
